Natalie Portman Pursues Love and Other Things in Toronto

Natalie Portman headed to Canada yesterday to join the fun at the Toronto Film Festival.

Natalie Portman headed to Canada yesterday to join the fun at the Toronto Film Festival. She went casual in a white top in the afternoon for a press conference promoting her film Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, which we saw her filming last year back when it was called 17 Photos of Isabel. By evening Natalie was decked out in a pink Lanvin number to join costar Lisa Kudrow for a red carpet premiere. Natalie has been doing double duty promoting this movie and her forthcoming Brothers, and she's picked up a few unlikely fans. Her recent spread in Interview magazine, in which she confessed a love of obscene rap music, has apparently earned her the esteem of Ghostface Killah from the Wu-Tang Clan.

Celeb Style: Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner attended The Invention of Lying premiere at the TIFF looking quite spectacular in a green tiered dress by Oscar de la Renta dress and Casadei sky-high taupe platform pumps — sizzle.

Jennifer Garner attended The Invention of Lying premiere at the TIFF looking quite spectacular in a green tiered dress by Oscar de la Renta dress and Casadei sky-high taupe platform pumps — sizzle. The hue goes great against her brunette locks and I like how metallic silver accessories increase her sparkle. Indeed, this look is quite different from her usual playtime ensembles and I like it!

Jennifer, Rob and Ricky Invent Lies at TIFF

Jennifer Garner joined her costars Ricky Gervais and Rob Lowe to premiere The Invention of Lying at TIFF yesterday.

Jennifer Garner joined her costars Ricky Gervais and Rob Lowe to premiere The Invention of Lying at TIFF yesterday. At the press conference earlier in the day, Jennifer teased Ricky who wrote, directed and acted in the film, for often ruining takes with his loud shrill giggle. Jen also said she's not planning on working with her husband Ben Affleck again, although "life is long" so she's not ruling it out for the future. It sounds like the cast got along great while filming and are still enjoying each other's company as they kick off promotions for one of Buzz's top movie picks for the Fall.

Love It or Hate It: Drew Barrymore's Black-Tipped Bob

Last week, we caught a glimpse of Drew Barrymore sporting this black-tipped bob while promoting her film, Whip It, in Boston.

Last week, we caught a glimpse of Drew Barrymore sporting this black-tipped bob while promoting her film, Whip It, in Boston. At first I wasn't sure if the dipped-in-black look was a permanent fixture in the actress's ever-changing look, but judging from her appearance earlier today at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival, it looks like these deep, dark raven-toned ends are here to stay. And in rather matchy-matchy fashion, she even chose to wear this black and yellow Alexander McQueen dress, which coordinates to perfection. What do you think of Drew's ebony ends? Are they a slam-dunk, or is it all a bit too murky for your liking?

Drew Barrymore in Cobweb McQueen: Love It or Hate It?

Drew Barrymore is no stranger to extreme, psychedelic fashion.

Drew Barrymore is no stranger to extreme, psychedelic fashion. For the Whip It premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, the quirky actress donned a black and yellow webbed creation from Alexander McQueen and peep-toe heels from Casadei — notice how they complement her new black tips! The color is cheerful, like Drew, and the webbing detail is totally unique. It takes a certain personality to pull off McQueen's eccentric creations, do you think she succeeded?

Celeb Style: Demi Moore

I used to think wearing yellow and black would make me look like a bumble bee, but Demi Moore has proven me wrong.

I used to think wearing yellow and black would make me look like a bumble bee, but Demi Moore has proven me wrong. The actress attended The Joneses premiere at the Toronto Film Festival looking super flirty in a yellow silk ruffled dress, sleek Brian Atwood pumps, and a matching clutch. Her simple styling skills prove that the two hues can look harmonious, not dissonant, together. Color me inspired!

While others flocked to New York Fashion Week, Penelope Cruz, Amanda Seyfried, Megan Fox, and Jennifer Connelly made their way to Canada for the Toronto Film Festival. Each lady showed off her unique style, donning pretty frocks in a rainbow of colors. Penelope's seafoam one-shoulder confection complemented her amazing tan; Amanda's Brian Atwood pumps added a hard edge to her berry frock; Megan looked decadent and dangerous in her lace minidress; and Jennifer radiated sophistication in a tomato-red sheath and Yves Saint Laurent platform pumps. Do tell, which leading lady do you prefer?
