Get the Bod: Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore dazzled at the Golden Globes this year, where she picked up an award for her portrayal of "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale in Grey Gardens. The role was an intense one for Drew — the actress lost almost 10 lbs. while filming because she was so "fraught with anxiety" that she couldn't eat.

This isn't the first time Drew lost weight in an unconventional (and not-so-healthy way) — the star was on a forced diet due to the discomfort that came with getting her tongue pierced in 2008: "I couldn't eat, couldn't drink for two weeks — great diet in a weird way." Questionable diets aside, Drew has been pretty healthy when it comes to getting in shape. After years of struggling with her weight, in 2004 the actress dropped an amazing 20 lbs. and has done a great job of keeping it off.

15 Fabulous Over 40 at the Golden Globes!

The Golden Globe awards were brimming with beauty, but what struck us as especially awesome is that so many of the night's women winners on the red carpet and during the show are over 40! The Hollywood double standard of men and women's ages still exists, but Sandra Bullock said she thinks it's getting better, and we're hopeful right along with her. What would the red carpet be without regal Meryl or Julia's smile? Need we even mention Jennifer's to-die-for legs? Mo'nique, Toni, Halle and Sophia — here are 15 good reasons why 40 doesn't need to be the new anything since it's perfectly fantastic all on its own!

Are Top Designers Shying Away From Awards Shows?

>> In the Golden Globes aftermath, Cathy Horyn was left less than impressed.

>> In the Golden Globes aftermath, Cathy Horyn was left less than impressed. "The new decade certainly didn’t announce itself with a bang on the Globes red carpet last night, and it had nothing to do with the rain," she blogged yesterday. "Where was that single, game-changing dress that people would talk about?"

She continued:

Most of the dresses last night offered little more than a paper-doll variation on styles of the past few years. A preponderance of blush pink or one-shouldered styles doesn’t point to a trend so much as reveal an ongoing problem with mediocre design. Maybe the best designers now prefer to stay away from the awards shows, and the actresses, worried about bad publicity, don’t know the difference anymore. They don’t know what it means in fashion to be playful and truly relaxed. So the dresses keep wearing them.

Get the Bod: Sandra Bullock

At this year's Golden Globe Awards, Sandra Bullock was looking lovely in a purple evening gown and glowing from her win for Best Actress for The Blind Side.

At this year's Golden Globe Awards, Sandra Bullock was looking lovely in a purple evening gown and glowing from her win for Best Actress for The Blind Side. When I saw the red carpet pics of Sandra that night I was impressed by how toned her arms and upper body look — her fitness routine must be paying off!

To stay in shape, it's all about variety for Sandra, and though she also tries to work out every day, she doesn't beat herself up if she misses a few weeks. Besides running and biking, the star incorporates Pilates, plyometrics, weights, and kickboxing into her fitness routine — phew! Sandra must know that changing up your workout is a great way to stay motivated and not get bored with a fitness regimen. If you're not familiar with plyometrics, or jump training, I encourage you to give it a try. You can easily add it into a walking routine or when strength training. By including jumping exercises like jump roping or jumping squats into an existing workout, you use new muscle groups and burn more calories. It's also just a lot of fun!
