Gwyneth, Liv, and Mary-Kate Add Some Americana to LFW

The London Fashion Week festivities continued on this afternoon, with Victoria Beckham heading to check out the Burberry show after seeing Fashion East earlier this morning. She was joined by Mary-Kate Olsen as expected, along with Liv Tyler and the adorable couple Freida Pinto and Dev Patel. Agyness Deyn and Alexa Chung were also on hand, adding some more British flavor to the front row.

Liv didn't have time for an outfit change before meeting up with Gwyneth Paltrow for a bash hosted by the design firm Established & Sons, which is owned by their good friend Stella McCartney's husband Alasdhair Willis. Gwyneth Paltrow was looking uncharacteristically casual in her tee, as she enjoys her second round of fashion fun following her time at the shows in Madrid last week. Runway Report: Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010

Celebrating new London headquarters and the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week, Christopher Bailey brought Burberry back home from the runways in Milan where he had been showing the Prorsum collection for the past eight years.

Celebrating new London headquarters and the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week, Christopher Bailey brought Burberry back home from the runways in Milan where he had been showing the Prorsum collection for the past eight years.

As Mario Testino put it, there was a full-on red carpet outside the white Burberry tent in London today, appropriate for the star-studded front row rolling in for the fashion show including Gwyneth Paltrow and Liv Tyler—seen holding hands over Emma Watson—Victoria Beckham, Mary Kate Olsen, Freida Pinto and Dev Patel, Jacquetta Wheeler, Agyness Deyn, Anna Wintour, and Carine Roitfeld.

According to Bailey spring 2010 is the season of the belt at Burberry, and that meant cinched waists on a pastel palette of dresses and skirts—think lavender, pale pink and mint green—all twisted, pleated and draped. Bailey transformed traditional Burberry pieces into new and unexpected shapes with texture, adding a fresh sculptural quality to his collection. Even the classic beige trench received an update for spring—looking ultra modern with gathered puffed-up shoulders, ruched sleeves, and a knotted hem in back.

As for the A-list crowd in attendance, they all headed straight to that new Burberry building for an after party where we hear computers have been set up for easy tweeting. Allow Style.com's Fashion Feed to help you be there in spirit.

A Softer Side of Jonathan Saunders for Spring 2010

>> Pastel seems to be the palette of choice for Spring 2010 in London, and London returner Jonathan Saunders is no exception.

>> Pastel seems to be the palette of choice for Spring 2010 in London, and London returner Jonathan Saunders is no exception. With the help of Katie Grand's styling know-how, plus Christian Louboutin gladiators that had spectators in a tizzy, Saunders's models worked the runway in sheer flouncy pink and lavender pieces and rope-trimmed dresses.  To break the mold, highlighter yellow also appeared in the large, sparse, and uncomfortably hot room Saunders showed in.

Peter Pilotto Earns Raves for Spring 2010 Signature Watercolor Prints

>> In the space behind a record store in London this morning, Anna Wintour stopped by for a preview, and Peter Pilotto and design partner Christopher De Vos sent out their trademark watercolor prints atop sculptured and draped minidresses. The collection inspired quite the impulse gushing from Another Magazine ("Peter Pilotto — show of the week so far."), Vogue UK ("The Pilotto show has been one of our FAVOURITE shows yet") and Los Angeles Times's Booth Moore ("Peter Pilotto is next big thing out of London."). Wintour's bouncers were so energized by the show, they apparently almost knocked Suzy Menkes over as they rushed Anna out.

Celeb Style: Sienna Miller

The spotlight might have been on Sienna and Savannah's Twenty8Twelve Spring collection, which by the way, looks very cool, but we can't stop admiring Sienna's cute outfit.

The spotlight might have been on Sienna and Savannah's Twenty8Twelve Spring collection, which by the way, looks very cool, but we can't stop admiring Sienna's cute outfit. I guess that's why she's a designer, right? Her Fashion Week ensemble consists of gray skinny jeans, a blush pink printed top, and a pair of chunky platform boots. I love the juxtaposition between hard and soft elements.

Victoria Beckham was looking chummy with British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman this morning at London Fashion Week's Fashion East show, which features the work of up-and-coming designers. The stylish duo was also together last night, when they celebrated the 25th anniversary of LFW at a bash alongside other British icons like Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney. Victoria was decked out in a dress from her own 2010 Spring collection, but she was all about supporting new talent at today's event. She said, "I’m in London to do a bit of work . . . I've heard so much about this show and I wanted to show my support for young designers. I know what it's like, how stressful and scary it can be."
