Anne Hathaway won the best supporting actress Oscar Sunday night for her role as Fantine in Les Misérables. In her acceptance speech, the newlywed actress thanked her husband, Adam Shulman, saying, "My husband, by far and away the greatest moment of my life is the one when you walked into it. I love you so much."

Anne first met Adam through friends in 2008, and according to her, the sparks were instant. Six weeks after meeting the producer/jewelry designer, Anne invited him to join her for a trip to New Orleans and they officially started dating. The couple had a Big Sur wedding in September 2012, and since then, Anne's been raving about Adam's patience, sharing how sweet he was while she filmed Les Misérables — despite the fact that she was a "witch" to him as she got into character for the movie. Anne Hathaway went shopping for home goods with her husband, Adam Shulman, in LA Saturday. She later traded her casual ensemble for a black sequin dress to attend the Cinema Audio Society Awards. The event was held that the Millennium Biltmore Hotel and earned Les Misérables yet another accolade to add to the growing list. The outstanding achievement in sound mixing for a live action motion picture award went to the film's sound-mixing production team, and Anne took the stage to address the honor.

Last week, Anne was among the stars at the Berlin International Film Festival, but returned in time to spend a romantic and charitable Valentine's Day with her husband. Anne and Adam supported the One Billion Rising campaign while celebrating their first Valentine's Day as a married couple. Adam has been by Anne's side all award season long, and now they are gearing up for this weekend's Academy Awards, where Anne is nominated for best supporting actress for Les Mis.

The worldwide campaigns were instigated by One Billion Rising, an organization that hopes to stop abuse against women. The name refers to the one billion women who have survived abuse and the number of women the organization asks to support them. The worldwide event — called V-Day — celebrated its 15th anniversary yesterday and urges our gender to "walk out, dance, rise up, and demand an end to this violence."

Famous women like Rosario Dawson, Anne Hathaway, Thandie Newton, Marisa Tomei, Jane Fonda, and Glenn Close attended V-Day events in cities that included London, Hollywood, and New York, while women young and old took to the streets of India, China, Bangladesh, Mexico, Poland, and other countries to stand up for the cause.
