It was a fun night on the People's Choice Awards red carpet in LA today. Stars brought the glamour in metallics, bold colors, and bright neutrals as they made their way into the show. Miley Cyrus showed off her glowing tan in a light yellow David Koma dress on the arm of boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, who has been busy with press for The Hunger Games this week. Winner Lea Michele went with a white Marchesa, and Jennifer Morrison followed suit in an Oscar de la Renta of the same hue. The evening's host, Kaley Cuoco, posed in a metallic Badgley Mischka gown while Julianne Hough, fresh off her St. Barts vacation, wore a sequined mini with an open back.

The evening wasn't all about neutrals though, since some ladies opted for bright color instead. How I Met Your Mother's Alyson Hannigan covered her baby bump in a short red Alice + Olivia number. Both Busy Philipps and nominee Jennifer Lawrence chose blue, with Busy in Carven and Jennifer rocking a daring Victor & Rolf. Nina Dobrev, who picked up the award for favorite TV drama actress, stood out in green Elie Saab.

Rounding out the red carpet fashion were a few ladies who went with black. Presenter Ashley Greene stepped out in a custom lace DKNY look and Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale continued the sexy trend with a dramatic Cengiz Abazoglu outfit. Ellie Kemper was honored as part of the cast of Bridesmaids in a simple dark dress, while Vanessa Hudgens mixed things up in a Jenny Packham halter.

CBS focused on its current shows during the Winter TCA, bringing out comedy How I Met Your Mother, which is currently in its seventh season. Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan were the only actors present today, but they had plenty to say, along with series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. They talked about what's next for Marshall and Lily and their new little family, Robin's recent revelation, and the perennial question about when we'll meet the mother.

• Though no one gave us anything concrete about the mother, Bays insisted, "we know what the end game of the series is." Segel piped up to say that he was "so relieved when I found out there was an actual plan," and then joked about it, implying that it might be the apocalypse before we find out: "We have to see if the Mayans are right! It might be Dec. 21, 2012."
• Bays and Thomas answered the question of whether Marshall and Lily are really moving permanently to their suburban home by saying that we're all about to find out. Thomas said that we're "going to see them deal with that" in the next few episodes.
• Fans weren't the only ones irritated with the show faking us out with Robin's kids. Hannigan recounted, "You should have seen us at the table read. I was like, season pass delete!" But she said she was angry because she cared so much.
• On the show's evolution, Thomas mentioned that they couldn't have done storylines like Marshall losing his dad in season one or two. For his part on that arc, Segel said that "it was a real honor" to be given the chance to play out Marshall's grief, and echoed that "it's a real honor when people ask the best of you."

In American Reunion, the American Pie kids are all grown up with spouses and families, but they still find opportunities for sexy time — with themselves. In this teaser trailer, we get a very similar scene to the first film's unforgettable intro. Jim (Jason Biggs), now married to Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), seizes a few minutes to himself, and gets out his trusty tube sock (though with changing technology, his porn video has been upgraded to a laptop).

Since Jim no longer lives with his parents, be sure to wait and see just who gets scarred by his actions. This still doesn't give us a lot of plot, but rest assured: there will be masturbation. Watch it when you keep reading.
