Welcome to the Hall of Fame: 10 Met Gala Vets and Their Best Looks

Not all Met Gala red carpet appearances are created equal, and the style-setting veterans that make their way up those iconic museum stairs in stunning couture gowns year after year have certainly left an impression.

Not all Met Gala red carpet appearances are created equal, and the style-setting veterans that make their way up those iconic museum stairs in stunning couture gowns year after year have certainly left an impression. Clearly, we can't get enough. We're talking specifically about an elite group of women who have entered into a veritable Met Gala "hall of fame" by virtue of their consistent on-point dressing. Whether your mind goes first to Gwyneth Paltrow's blue Gucci snakeskin dress in 1999, conjures up images of a very Carrie Bradshaw-esque Sarah Jessica Parker in Halston, remembers Blake Lively and Karl Lagerfeld arm in arm in 2011, or jumps right to Beyoncé's flame-embroidered custom Givenchy gown from this year's festivities, you'd be right to assume that these A-listers are among the best dressed (and most memorable) in Met Gala history. Welcome to our official Met Gala Hall of Fame — click on to see who has been inducted.

Ashley Olsen wore a bright and cheery Dior Couture gown from 1972 for this evening's Costume Institute Benefit red carpet in NYC. Ashley arrived with her sister Mary-Kate, who also went vintage but in Chanel, for the night. Ashley and Mary-Kate are no strangers to the Costume Institute and Vogue's annual event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but they once again opted to go on their own rather than teaming up with another designer or donning pieces from their own collection. Mary-Kate Olsen and her boyfriend, Olivier Sarkozy, were accompanied by her twin sister, Ashley Olsen, to catch a flight out of LAX yesterday.

Mary-Kate Olsen and her boyfriend, Olivier Sarkozy, were accompanied by her twin sister, Ashley Olsen, to catch a flight out of LAX yesterday. Olivier affectionately held his arm around Mary-Kate, while Ashley walked a few steps ahead as the trio made their way through the airport. The couple are no strangers to showing their affection, and just last week displayed PDA on the East Coast. Mary-Kate and Olivier kissed courtside at a New York Knicks game, which is becoming a routine sight since it was the couple's eighth cuddly time in the stands. Mary-Kate turned her focus from sports to music, though, during her West Coast stay and popped up at a secret Rolling Stones concert with Ashley over the weekend.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were photographed showing PDA Saturday night as they left a secret Rolling Stones show at LA's Echoplex. Johnny and Amber costarred in the 2011 film The Rum Diary but have kept any possible romance out of the spotlight until now. Amber was able to mingle with the Stones, thanks to Johnny's longtime friendship with Keith Richards. Johnny and Amber were among the 700 people who saw the Stones after the band announced the show on Twitter earlier in the afternoon.

Amber and Johnny were just two of many celebrity guests last night. Also out to see Keith, Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts, and Ron Wood do their thing were Gwen Stefani, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Owen Wilson, and Maria Shriver. Bruce Willis, who has a vacation home near Keith at Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos, also attended with his wife, Emma Heming. Stones wives and girlfriends Patti Hansen and L'Wren Scott and 65-year-old Ron's wife of four months, 35-year-old Sally Humphreys, were there, too. The Stones got in last night's show before kicking off their "50 & Counting" world tour this Friday at LA's Staples Center.

Two Olsen sisters, Elizabeth and Ashley Olsen, were seen out and about around downtown Manhattan yesterday. The Row designer Ashley was in a camel coat leaving the Bowery Hotel, while not far away, actress Elizabeth took a walk in SoHo. Along with Ashley's twin, Mary-Kate, the Olsen girls are frequently at their NYC home base. Ashley's design endeavors with Mary-Kate are largely rooted in Manhattan, and Elizabeth was able to shoot much of her two most recently wrapped films, Very Good Girls and Kill Your Darlings, in NYC. And her next picture to hit the big screen sees her paired with one of NYC's most iconic directors — she's among the leads in Spike Lee's October movie, Oldboy.

Ashley Olsen wore her signature oversize sunglasses to step out in the Tribeca neighborhood of NYC yesterday. She was solo for the outing but recently joined up with her twin, Mary-Kate Olsen, for a business meeting in the Big Apple last month. While Ashley has been laying low in the city, Mary-Kate made headlines concerning her relationship with french boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy.

Mary-Kate and Olivier have spent much of their time together since they began dating almost a year ago but she put a halt to any engagement rumors swirling with her beau, who is 17 years her senior. According to recent reports, Mary-Kate is making Olivier wait to propose because she is not yet ready to walk down the aisle. The news may be much to Olivier's chagrin though, as he is allegedly anxious to take the next step in their relationship.
