Kate Hudson posed with a newspaper for a fun photo shoot in Beverly Hills yesterday. She was accompanied on the set by her pregnant sister-in-law, Erinn Bartlett, who is married to Kate's brother, Oliver Hudson. Erinn looked after Kate's son Bingham Bellamy while Kate got pretty for the cameras. Kate mixed work and family after taking time out to focus on those closest to her earlier this month. She visited a winery in Santa Barbara in the company of fiancé Matthew Bellamy and stepdad Kurt Russell last week and also spent a sunny day with Bing and Matthew at the beach. Kate will soon have even more to juggle since she's due to begin filming her new project, Good People, with James Franco in London this month.

The family is back in the LA area after they took a short trip to Santa Barbara with Kate's stepdad, Kurt Russell. Kate, Matthew, and Kurt visited a winery on Monday while Kate's fashionable Hollywood peers were busy in NYC attending the 2013 Met Gala. She may have opted to skip the Big Apple bash to spend time with her family as she will be back to work again soon. Kate will pack up and head off to London by the end of this month to begin filming for Good People with James Franco. However, before she leaves for London, Kate will spend Mother's Day with her mom, Goldie Hawn. Kate and Goldie told POPSUGAR Beauty that they are planning to spend the weekend together at a spa in the desert, complete with pampering, hiking, and a game of tennis.
Kate Hudson carried her son Bingham Bellamy as they left their NYC hotel today. Her casual outing with her almost-2-year-old comes on the heels of a busy day and night yesterday. Kate appeared at the New York Indian Film Festival last night to take part in a Q&A with her The Reluctant Fundamentalist costar Riz Ahmed and director Mira Nair. Earlier in the day, she swung by to chat with David Letterman on The Late Show, where she described her older son, Ryder Robinson, as a "laid-back, cool, sort of poetic type" and Bing as a "fireball." Now that Kate's busy week of promotional stops in the Big Apple is winding down, she will soon head back to London and begin filming her latest project with James Franco, titled Good People.

Muse has shows at Manhattan's Madison Square Garden tomorrow and Tuesday and a show in East Rutherford, NJ, Friday. Then Matt and his bandmates will be off to Canada for a few dates before returning to their native England. Kate's able to attend many of Matthew's shows, thanks to the fact that the two have homes in both LA and the UK. In a recent interview with Elle UK, Kate gushed about their life in England. She told the magazine, "We have a vegetable plot [in the country], an herb garden, the boys pull out carrots and collect eggs from the hens, that’s the sort of day that makes me really happy."

The trip wasn't all about work though, since Matthew, Ryder, and Bing spent time playing on the beach as well. Matthew has since moved onto Ohio, where he took the stage with Muse last night.

Adding to Kate's busy schedule is the recent news that she was re-signed as the face of Ann Taylor and will be designing for the brand as well — Kate's collaborating on a Summer capsule collection with Creative Director Lisa Axelson. While she's getting more involved in the design process, Matt is continuing his tour with Muse. He has one more stop in London before heading to Florida and Ohio for multiple performances this month.
