Nicole Kidman, Ryan Phillippe, and Eva Longoria got dressed up and headed to the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills earlier today for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual grant luncheon. They were joined by a few famous Emmy nominees like Jane Lynch and Matthew Fox. Matthew talked to us about the possibility of a Lost movie while Buzz has high hopes for his costars on award night. The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons shared a few secrets about the upcoming season of his show, revealing that the premiere will fast-forward six months into the future and there will be a possible love match with Mayim Bialik from Blossom! The ladies rushed in to get into their seats on time, though Nicole looked stunning in her green, tea-length Prada dress and Eva in her sexy, black sheath Gucci number.

Zack Snyder's trailer for Sucker Punch is action-packed, frenzied, and frankly, it makes my head spin. Featuring everything from dragons to burlesque to samurais, it's a minute and a half of imagery overload, and if it wasn't for Comic-Con, I'd honestly have no idea what was going on. Luckily, I did sit in on the film's panel, so I can shed some light on this preview.
The premise is this: Emily Browning plays Baby Doll, a young girl who gets sent away to a mental institution, where she tries to escape with dream sequences starring her fellow patients (Jena Malone, Jamie Chung, Vanessa Hudgens, and Abbie Cornish). Carla Gugino plays a Polish psychiatrist (that's her in the voiceover), and Jon Hamm also stars, but alas, he doesn't appear in this footage. The unusual storyline obviously gave Snyder plenty of opportunity to play, and boy, does he. Still, I can't decide whether the movie is going to be amazing or a dizzying mess. There must be something in the water in Hollywood, because in the past couple of days a bunch of Tinseltown's loveliest ladies have given themselves makeovers — from new haircuts galore to vampy new personas and long extensions to cover up recent short cuts. Everyone needs some change once in a while, but do you think these ladies made the right decisions? It's time to decide for yourself.
Abbie Cornish was the guest of honor last night at a party celebrating her performance in Bright Star at Stella McCartney's LA shop. The designer herself was off enjoying a Caribbean beach vacation, but Abbie had her boyfriend Ryan Phillippe and girl friends Vanessa Hudgens and Jena Malone to keep her company. Abbie's role in the film has Buzz hoping to see lots more of her this year, but she hasn't had much luck yet as far as awards season goes. Ryan, meanwhile, will be back on the big screen soon with MacGruber, though that's not a film that has you guys particularly excited.

Every few years, a woman-heavy ensemble hits the theaters, and I always hope it's going to be as good as the standard, Steel Magnolias. This year's flick, Women in Trouble, stars Carla Gugino, Connie Britton, Marley Shelton, Emanuelle Chriqui, and Sarah Clarke as the various women from different walks of life. One's a porn star, one's a masseuse, one's a flight attendant, and many of them are in their bras in this trailer. As you can tell from the title, they're each in some kind of personal trouble and the film looks like a Crash-like melange of the ladies' intersecting lives. There's also a wee bit of testosterone with a few actors who are easy on the eyes: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, and Simon Baker. The cast seems pretty promising, but I worry it'll veer into the same stale territory as last year's The Women.

The boys and girls of Entourage walked the red carpet yesterday at the premiere of their sixth season in LA. While Adrian Grenier turns 33 today, last night was all about Vince and his friends. Emmanuelle Chriqui looked gorgeous with the suited up boys. Adrian, Jerry Ferrara, and Kevin Dillon hit the red carpet as a pack while Kevin Connolly posed with his longtime buddy Tobey Maguire at the afterparty. Hayden Panettiere got some special attention from Jeremy Piven as they all celebrated before Sunday's new episode.

Burberry joined the Manhattan skyline last night as the designer lit up its three brand new 50-foot signs above the headquarters. To celebrate the lights, stars like Orlando Bloom, Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy came out to the party in NYC. Justin Long posed with Blake Lively but it was her boyfriend Penn Badgley who was showing off a new beard after being clean cut just last week. The Gossip Girl couple is already thinking about next season but until then it's time to enjoy the NYC nights and lights especially the new addition to the sky scape.
