Megan Fox Compares Fame to Being "Bullied" in Esquire

Megan Fox strikes a bombshell pose on the cover of Esquire's February issue, but inside the pages of the magazine, she compares her experience as a celebrity to being bullied on a "global scale."

Megan Fox strikes a bombshell pose on the cover of Esquire's February issue, but inside the pages of the magazine, she compares her experience as a celebrity to being bullied on a "global scale." Megan gave birth to her first child in 2012 and talks about working toward moving beyond her sex-symbol status, which she says made her feel "powerless," in the interview. She also reflects on her upbringing in the Pentecostal church, where she spoke in tongues alongside the other members of the congregation, and why she's rethinking some of her many tattoos. The issue hits newsstands on Jan. 22. Here's more from Megan Fox in Esquire:

  • On what it's like to be famous: "I don't think people understand. They all think we should shut the f**k up and stop complaining because you live in a big house or you drive a Bentley. So your life must be so great. What people don't realize is that fame, whatever your worst experience in high school, when you were being bullied by those ten kids in high school, fame is that, but on a global scale, where you're being bullied by millions of people constantly."
  • On why she's removing her Marilyn Monroe tattoo: "I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult. It's like when you visualize something for your future. I didn't want to visualize something so negative. . . . She was sort of like Lindsay [Lohan]. She was an actress who wasn't reliable, who almost wasn't insurable. . . . She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I'm not interested in following in those footsteps."
  • On speaking in tongues at church: "I have seen magical, crazy things happen. I've seen people be healed. . . . It feels like a lot of energy coming through the top of your head — I'm going to sound like such a lunatic — and then your whole body is filled with this electric current. And you just start speaking, but you're not thinking because you have no idea what you're saying. Words are coming out of your mouth, and you can't control it.

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani Opens Up About Her "Ultimate Collaboration" in Vogue

Gwen Stefani covers Vogue's January issue, and in the glossy, the No Doubt frontwoman gets candid about balancing life as a rock star, designer, and mom.

Gwen Stefani covers Vogue's January issue, and in the glossy, the No Doubt frontwoman gets candid about balancing life as a rock star, designer, and mom. Gwen and No Doubt reunited this year for their first album in more than a decade, and between her music career, two sons, and multiple fashion lines, Gwen admits she sometimes feels overwhelmed. Fortunately, she says, that's given her plenty of angst to inspire her new music. The issue hits stands on Dec. 25, but in the meantime, here's more from Gwen Stefani in Vogue:

  • On what inspires her music: "There has to be some kind of saga going on. . . . Ten years ago, I had started L.A.M.B. because I was preparing myself, knowing that the music thing was going to end. Who knew that ten years later, I'd be doing a No Doubt record, be married, have two kids, have three clothing lines? All at one time! It would be ridiculous to do that. And it is ridiculous. It's impossible. . . . That's what this whole record was: trying to balance it, trying to be my creative self but also be the new me."

  • On her marriage to Gavin Rossdale: "You feel proud. There are just so many rewards that come with it. You have to work at it. But, actually, it's fun to get to this point. Because you learn so much about somebody. . . . And then having kids takes the whole relationship to another place. It is the ultimate collaboration. Both of us have such strong opinions about how it should be, and it's really fun to do it together."
  • On motherhood: "It's superfun being a mom, but it's not what you think it's going to be. And it's really gradual. At first, your life is totally the same. . . . as they grow older, it really does start to change your life. Like, 'Oh, my God, they have school, they have to get through first grade, they have to learn to read.' It starts getting so serious, and you're like, 'Aaaaaaah!'"

Brad Pitt plays dress up in the pages of Interview's October/November issue, sporting dreadlocks, eyeliner, and even an eye patch to portray different characters in a playful photo shoot. The issue also features a Q&A between Brad Pitt and Guy Ritchie. Guy directed Brad in Snatch, and the former collaborators met up in London while Brad worked on reshoots of World War Z recently. The duo talked about another of Brad's upcoming films, his commitment to family, and why he's a Barack Obama fan. Here are highlights:

  • On why he's become choosier about projects: "I want it to be worthy enough of a story to leave the family, you know? They're everything. The family is first . . . I also don't want to embarrass them."
  • On how he stays inspired: "You know, right now, this is like a clean-up-the-loose-ends-and-tidy-up-the-place kind of year, which I also look at as a refill kind of year. I'm not good at going back-to-back-to-back-to-back with movies, and it's just now that I'm starting to get my bearings again and a flavor for what's next. But it can't be something repetitive that I've done before. I'm bored to death by that, and when I attempt things like that, it never works — I end up hurting the movie."
  • On who he's supporting in the election: " . . . I'm a big supporter of Obama, and I think he's our best answer for the next four years."
  • On reshooting World War Z: "We've got some tidying up to do there, but that one is gonna be big and entertaining. My boys are gonna love it."

Kate Hudson graces the cover of Harper's Bazaar's October issue in a glamorous spread shot by photographer Camilla Akrans. Inside the magazine, 33-year-old Kate talks wedding plans and her upcoming role on Glee. The guest-starring gig will be one of her first acting jobs since she gave birth to her second son, Bingham Bellamy, last year. Since she and her fiancé, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, welcomed their new arrival, they've been splitting their time between LA and London. Not surprisingly, another American actress who has children with a British rocker — Gwyneth Paltrow — has been helping Kate get settled in the new city. Kate's issue of Bazaar hits stands on Sept. 25, but in the meantime, here are highlights:

  • On meeting Matt and later seeing him in concert: "I Googled him right away! And it was shocking, 'cause he was like two completely different people. I would still tell him, 'I look at the footage of you playing, but getting to know you, I can't connect the dots' . . . I was just in awe of his ability and his talent. And then to know him on the other side of it, and how sweet and simple and loving he is."
  • On when she'll wed: "We'll do it eventually, but I want it to be right. I don't want to just do it, you know what I mean?"
  • On getting advice on London from Gwyneth: "She's been my go-to about where to get things done—grocery shopping, a good mani-pedi, you know, all that. I look up to Gwyneth and how she has been in her life. She's the real deal."
  • On comparing her pregnancies: "Bing was a more difficult pregnancy than Ryder. Ryder was very easy; I didn't get sick or nauseous at all. With Bing I was really nauseous. He also moved around so much that I felt like I was in Aliens. He was just rockin' out."

Emma Watson Reveals Her Girl Crush in Glamour

Emma Watson is on the cover of Glamour's October issue, and inside the pages of the glossy, she tackles topics including dating in the spotlight and her love for Girls creator Lena Dunham.

Emma Watson is on the cover of Glamour's October issue, and inside the pages of the glossy, she tackles topics including dating in the spotlight and her love for Girls creator Lena Dunham. Emma, now 22, is looking to move past the Harry Potter series she's best known for by adding more grown-up roles to her repertoire. Following a part in last year's critically acclaimed My Week With Marilyn, Emma will star in the upcoming The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival later this week. Her issue of Glamour hits newsstands on Sept. 11, but in the meantime, here are some highlights:

  • On her love for Lena Dunham: "I am literally obsessed with Lena Dunham. She's, like, my favorite person in the world. I follow her on Twitter; I read her every day. And, yes, Girls is an example of something so refreshing because it feels real."
  • On why short hair suits her: ". . .If I had it my way, I would have just kept it short forever. Of course, men like long hair. There's no two ways about it. The majority of the boys around me were like, 'Why did you do that? That's such an error.' And I was like, 'Well, honestly, I don't really care what you think!'"
  • On The Perks of Being a Wallflower: "Making this movie was so pivotal for me because I realized I do really want to be an actress, which wasn't something I fully knew, since Harry Potter was such a singular experience. Obviously I'm nervous to see what other people think, but it kind of doesn't matter to me. It's so cheesy to say this, but it's the journey, not the end goal, that's important."

Celine Dion Poses Topless and Talks Being an "Open Book"

Celine Dion struck a series of seductive poses for photographer Sebastian Faena in the new issue of V Magazine, on newsstands Aug.

Celine Dion struck a series of seductive poses for photographer Sebastian Faena in the new issue of V Magazine, on newsstands Aug. 30. She let members of the publication's staff inside her Florida home for the interview and shoot, and channeled her inner Playboy bunny in the 1960s-inspired spread, which was styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. Celine, whose Vegas show has been running for just over a year, spoke about motherhood, the media, and her fears about fame in the accompanying interview. She also suggested that her free-spirited approach to the session mirrors her philosophy on life. Here are some highlights:

  • On being transparent about her personal life: "For me to tell someone that my husband had cancer, that we were struggling to have kids, or whatever we've gone through, talking about my life lets people know the real me . . . I've been an open book all my life, and I think that's why people like me. I've been criticized for it, but I'm not forcing myself to be the person that you see."
  • On how motherhood changed her: "I thought I had a life before, but until I was a mom, I had no idea. Why would I want a hit? Why would I want to win awards? There is nothing I can hope and wish for my career: I can just hope to be blessed as a mother for the rest of my life the way I am now."
  • On being impacted by Whitney Houston's death: "I have always been scared of the industry. Why? Because I think it's a place where anything is possible. It's a 'Yes' place, especially if you have success. And then you think that you have family and friends, true friends. But sometimes the love of family isn't strong enough to overcome. I was just in shock when Whitney's life had been taken because of drugs. It's a big loss for all of us."

Julianne Hough Talks Romance With Ryan Seacrest and Being Groped by Tom Cruise in Glamour

Julianne Hough lets her wild side show through in her spread for Glamour's July issue.

Julianne Hough lets her wild side show through in her spread for Glamour's July issue. She sported a bra top and struck a few sultry poses for the shoot. The actress, whose film Rock of Ages hits theaters next weekend, chatted with the glossy about everything from her career to her romance with Ryan Seacrest in the accompanying interview. She even dished on the scene where Tom Cruise feels her up in the new film! Here are some highlights:

  • On being groped by Tom Cruise: "That was my first scene with him! I was nervous as all get-out, but after every take he high-fived me and was like, 'That was awesome.' At one point on the movie, I got really hurt — I tweaked my neck and was in so much pain. And everyone was pressuring me to keep shooting, but Tom came in and said, 'No, this is what insurance is for, Julianne. You have the rest of your career. You need to take care of yourself!' And I thought, Tom Cruise cares about me! Now I can cry."
  • On her boyfriend, Ryan Seacrest: "I had another boyfriend, Chuck Wicks, whom I met on Dancing With the Stars. While we were dating, we went on Ryan’s radio show together. The interview's on YouTube, and I blush when I hear it because Ryan is hitting on me the entire time! At the end, Ryan said something like, 'You guys really have something special!' And I thought to myself, He's so full of s**t right now! When Chuck and I broke up, I wanted to be single. That lasted five months. Then Ryan and I went on a date."
  • On her past lives and present mentality: "I'm a very anxious person. If I'm not working, I go crazy. I've been lucky in my career. But if I lost everything tomorrow — and had no money — I would somehow make it work. I have that survivor mentality because of a lot of stuff that went on in a previous life. I feel like I've had four lives."

Mary-Kate Olsen

Mary-Kate and Ashley Talk Twin Intuition, Stepping Out of the Spotlight in Elle UK

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen appear on dual Elle UK covers for the glossy's April issue.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen appear on dual Elle UK covers for the glossy's April issue. The sisters have managed to build a massive high-fashion empire helmed by their luxury line, The Row, since leaving their acting careers behind. Mary-Kate and Ashley, who show off their well-honed individual style in the pages of the publication, talk about their "shared" thought process and their somewhat controlling approach to their design work. The Olsens also reflect on their decision to mostly stay out of the public eye these days. The full feature appears in the April issue of Elle UK, on sale Wednesday, March 7. In the meantime, check out some highlights from the interview:

  • Ashley on how she and Mary-Kate think alike: "We're attracted to different things, but we arrive at the same place. I think we're probably unaware of how intuitive it might seem from the outside. It's basically one thought process shared between two people."
  • Mary-Kate on other celebrity fashion lines: "Of course we knew about the trend of celebrities as designers, but we'd done that already when we were much younger. I don't understand the new idea of designers as celebrities either. To me, the Phoebe Philo [Celine designer] kind of modesty is the way to go. We love beautiful things. That's the only driving impulse."
  • Ashley on their hands-on approach to work: "We are perfectionists. We've always wanted to be closely involved with everything, totally hands on — that's why it works. If we step away, it stops working. I know it sounds controlling, but that's how it has to be."
  • Ashley on staying out of the public eye: "I don't have to be a pretty face. I've done that, but now it's important and liberating to be on the other side of the lens. I don't like to be the center of attention anymore."

She and ex Marc Anthony are the two lead judges on the Latin-themed TV talent search, and she opens up about the state of their relationship postsplit — as well as why the show's emphasis on Latin music spoke to her — in the interview. She also touches on her tough side and reflects on her career misses in her chat with fashion journalist Robin Givhan. Here are some highlights:

  • On her relationship with ex Marc Anthony: "I mean, we're parents and friends first. That will be the thread that ties us together. I don't know if people expect it to be negative just because the [intimate] relationship didn't work out."
  • On the importance of her Latin roots: "I tried to keep that close to my heart — what I learned growing up . . . When doing Q'Viva, it was kind of reinforcing that, showing how important it is to me and staying connected to that and showing my kids what that's all about."
  • On her films and albums that didn't perform so well: "You're not going to hit the bulls' eye every time. That's part of it. . . . I've been in the business now, I don't want to say how many years. You have amazing moments of recognition and success. But at this point in my life, I try to take it all with a grain of salt."
