Marion Cotillard shed her jacket and braved snow to pose on the red carpet at the César Awards in Paris on Friday. She chose yet another Christian Dior gown after wearing a creation by designer Raf Simons to the BAFTAs earlier this month. Marion was nominated for best actress at the French event for her work in Rust and Bone, though the honor went to Amour's Emmanuelle Riva. Other big winners included Marion's Rust and Bone costar Matthias Schoenaerts in the most promising male newcomer category and Argo for best foreign film. Kevin Costner was honored with a lifetime achievement award and accepted his statue, saying, "Merci, bonsoir. There's no hiding I'm an American. Thank you for seeing me for who I am." He was joined by wife Christine Baumgartner for the award show, which is France's equivalent of the Oscars.

This Is How It's Done: Kate Winslet Gets Red Carpet So Right at the Cesar Awards

Kate Winslet often goes super simple on the red carpet, but at the Cesar Film Awards in Paris, she brought a little sparkle to her look, literally.

Kate Winslet often goes super simple on the red carpet, but at the Cesar Film Awards in Paris, she brought a little sparkle to her look, literally. She chose a black and gold sequined Jenny Packham dress with a plunging neckline that showed off her decolletage and more. The dress fit perfectly, and she accessorized with Cartier earrings and bracelet and an Anya Hindmarch clutch. It's a timeless look that is as elegant as it is sexy, and it's the right amount of shine for a red carpet.

Love Jenny Packham's dresses? Then her Fall 2012 runway show is a must-see.

Kate Winslet wore a sequin gown on the red carpet at the César Film Awards in Paris this afternoon. She's receiving an honorary award at the show, which will be presented to her by Carnage director Roman Polanski. The evening's host, Guillaume Canet, also posed for pictures on his way inside, though he was without his partner, Marion Cotillard, since she's currently filming alongside Joaquin Phoenix in NYC. Kate did have her significant other, Ned Rocknroll, along for the trip to France, and the couple were seen arriving at the Ritz earlier today. Kate most recently popped up in NYC for Fashion Week, where she attended multiple events as the face of St. John.

Hilary Swank

Jude Wins a Not-Academy Award

Evidently there were other awards shows this weekend other than the Oscars.

Evidently there were other awards shows this weekend other than the Oscars. The French have their own version of the Academy Awards called the Cesars and that's where a few famous faces ended up on Saturday night. Hilary Swank was on hand as well as Jude Law who won a special achievement award. We're not exactly sure what it was he was honored for but maybe it has something to do with his work in The Holiday. We certainly thought he deserved something for that cute role.
