The stars of the CW were out and about in NYC yesterday following their afternoon at the network's upfronts. Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr and Chace Crawford strolled around the city before getting dressed up for the after-party at the Rose Bar with their Gossip Girl cast-mates Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Taylor Momsen. Melrose Place's Ashlee Simpson also attended the bash, and she brought Pete along after their fun family afternoon with Bronx. Prior to the evening celebrations, the GG gang opened up about what we can expect to see when their show returns in the Fall. Here's more:

• Blake on Chuck and Blair: "Chuck and Blair are finally together, but yet Georgina is back to screw up her life with that major vendetta."
• Leighton on next season: "A few other people are going to college. . . I don't know if they're going to stay."
• Penn on Dan's letting Nate date Jenny: "He should. Nate's a solid dude. . . I personally think that Dan should relax. Dan is too uptight."

Leighton Meester chatted on her phone still wearing her glasses while Taylor Momsen greeted some young fans between takes filming Gossip Girl in Brooklyn yesterday. Chace and Jessica also braved the cold in many layers. On this week's episode, the biggest treat was getting to see Leighton act with her real life boyfriend Sebastian Stan who sidled up to her at the bar — the up and coming actor could also be seen starring in NBC's new drama Kings. While we welcomed back our guilty pleasure and enjoyed all the enviable fashion, hopefully, the show is back to form next week after tying up some loose ends.

The Gossip Girl cast got bundled up and took over Manhattan for another day of filming yesterday. On last night's episode we got to see Jenny and Dan each play out their passions in very different ways, while Chuck and Blair worked on issues with their respective parents at home. Serena stuck by her phone as the usual fashion and beauty kept us captivated. At last week's Juicy event Penn Badgley talked about Dan and the upcoming TV death we've been hearing about. Here's more:

• On what he doesn't like about Dan: "Dan has a lot going for him but he’s his own worst enemy. And I think I’m frustrated a lot of times with how judgmental he is and how rigid he is in his morals. The guy needs to loosen up. He needs to loosen the eff up. "
• On his favorite part of playing Dan: "Oh God, I have to think about that one. Maybe the jeans. He has great jeans."

Taylor Momsen got to spend the day with the guys on the set of Gossip Girl on Thursday, though she shared the boys' attention with a crowd of female fans lining up for photos. We don't need any extra encouragement to keep tuning in on Monday nights, but the CW got us even more excited by using Britney in its newest Gossip Girl promo all about the wonder that is Chuck Bass. As always, the ad focuses on the risqué, but "Womanizer" just might be the perfect Chuck anthem.

Everyone's favorite Gossip kids are hard at work on their home turf of Manhattan, but are soon departing to warmer climates. Yes, Chuck Bass is going to have to pack up that fancy blue suit of his, climb on a plane with his costars and trek to LA this weeked for the Paley Festival and Buzz is going to be there to see them! Don't forget to let her know if you have any questions for Blake, Leighton, Penn, Josh Schwartz or any of the other cast members of the show — I can't wait to hear what they all have to say. I'm sure all the kids will get into some fun (or trouble) while in Cali for the weekend, but before long they'll be back to their adoring NYC fans.
