Michelle Williams got to work with her best friend Busy Philipps when she made a cameo at the end of the season-four premiere of Cougar Town last night. The close pals have spoken frequenly about their desire to work together again — they met making Dawnson's Creek in the '90s — and finally got their wish. See Michelle take on the role of Busy's sister!
Thanksgiving is here, which means we're all gearing up to watch the parade and chow down on turkey with loved ones. Though no one can replace our nearest and dearest, I always think it's fun to imagine what it would be like to spend the holiday with some of our favorite TV characters. Whether these shows have a family or a group of friends so close they're like family, these are the groups that I wouldn't mind visiting for the holidays.

After rumors swirled that Cougar Town might be getting cancelled, showrunners have found a solution to keep the series on the air: Cougar Town will change networks from ABC to TBS. After the current, third season ends, the show will resume its next season on the cable channel in early 2013. Fans of the Courtney Cox-led ensemble can breathe easy — and should make sure to reset their DVR settings.

Fans of Cougar Town will have something extra to celebrate this Valentine's Day when the ABC comedy makes its long-awaited return to the airwaves. We paid a visit to the set of the show recently to get a preview of what's ahead for season three — including a wedding for Jules and Grayson — straight from the cast. Courteney Cox and Josh Hopkins talked about the trouble being engaged will present for the pair, Busy Philipps dished on the new business Laurie will be starting, and Dan Byrd revealed that a pretty major injury is on deck for Travis in the upcoming episodes. The women of Cougar Town were decked out to film a big scene for their season finale in LA yesterday. It's rumored that the next 15-episode run of the show will begin with an engagement and end with a wedding and Busy Philipps, Courteney Cox, and Christa Miller were all in gowns for the afternoon. Courteney's white dress in particular may imply she'll be walking down the aisle with her onscreen love Josh Hopkins. Both Josh and Busy had an exciting weekend escorting good friends — winner Octavia Spencer for him and Michelle Williams for her — to Sunday's SAG Awards, but yesterday they were back to work on Cougar Town. The third season kicks off on Valentine's Day; get a sneak peek at the Cougar Town premiere before it airs!
In addition, David Arquette is scheduled to make a cameo on at least one episode and Couteney stepped behind the camera to direct. The fate of the sitcom is still up in the air, and Courteney confessed on her newly created Twitter account "she sure hopes" there will be more to come from the cul-de-sac crew. As for Busy, we could see her on at least one more red carpet this month since Michelle is also nominated for an Oscar.
I was jumping for joy last week when Cougar Town's premiere date was announced, and if you were too, here's another thing to get you excited: pictures from the Feb. 14 premiere! Season 3 kicks off with an episode titled "Ain't Love Strange," and from the toilet paper on the houses, it looks like Jules and the gang are back with even more antics. Check them out!

Great news for fans of Jules and the rest of the cul-de-sac crew! Cougar Town has finally gotten a premiere date for season three: Feb. 14. The show still didn't have a return date during last week's TCA, when ABC president Paul Lee had said that the show was definitely coming back, but not until March. The Valentine's Day premiere is due to the cancellation of poorly received cross-dressing comedy Work It, which Cougar Town will be replacing. This means that the new slot is now Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. instead of Wednesdays, so set your DVRs accordingly. Oh, and make a toast with your Big Carl.
