Josh Brings Diane to Party With Glee Kids For Fox in Pasadena

The stars of Fox partied the night away after a successful day of TCA presentations in Pasadena yesterday.

The stars of Fox partied the night away after a successful day of TCA presentations in Pasadena yesterday. Joshua Jackson had Diane Kruger with him all day and at the party, though she stayed out of the spotlight. Diane almost blended in with the crowd as she sipped a beer while Josh fielded questions about Fringe. He also talked about how much he loved going to Comic-Con and interacting with all the fans. The cast of Glee took it all in as everyone wanted to congratulate them on their upcoming show, though Lea Michele said she was mostly looking forward to everyone finally seeing more than just the pilot. Meanwhile, Buzz was off at the So You Think You Can Dance finale, where she chatted with the winner Jeanine — check it out here!

Stars Come Out For a Special Night Honoring Newman in SF

Last night some of the biggest names in Hollywood got together in San Francisco for a reading of The World of Nick Adams at Davies Symphony Hall.

Last night some of the biggest names in Hollywood got together in San Francisco for a reading of The World of Nick Adams at Davies Symphony Hall. The event was to benefit Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camp the Painted Turtle, which made it an especially touching and memorable evening. The legendary actor was honored by friends including Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Casey Affleck, Joaquin Phoenix and more. Bruce Willis didn't have any of his ladies, but smiled and showed off his salt and pepper beard. The celebrities all participated in reading the Ernest Hemingway stories on stage to the audience and among their peers — it was a very special evening indeed.

TV Tonight: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season Premiere!

Always Sunny fans, listen up!

Always Sunny fans, listen up! The fourth season starts tonight on FX with two (count 'em, two!) new episodes — and they are doozies. In the first, "Manhunt," Dennis and Mac go on a manhunt (as in, they go hunting — camouflage and all — for a man) while Dee and Charlie become convinced that they are cannibals (thus the preview clips of the two of them at a morgue with a hot plate and a six-pack of beer). In the second episode, "The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis," well, the gang solves the gas crisis . . . um, kinda.

I was treated to "Manhunt" when I went to the Always Sunny panel at Comic-Con back in July, and it is as hilariously crass and disgusting as ever. If you've never seen the show, however, I would suggest starting from the very beginning — not for any timeline reasons, simply because it might take an episode or two to get used to these guys and their outrageously politically incorrect ways.

The fourth season premieres tonight on FX starting at 10:00 p.m. (check local listings). To see a preview of this new season, read more

TV Tonight: "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"

Tonight our favorite crass, clueless Philadelphians return to TV for their third season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"!

Tonight our favorite crass, clueless Philadelphians return to TV for their third season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"! I've mentioned before how much I love this FX show, and judging by tonight's first episode, it looks like this season will not disappoint.

As fans probably already know, this show is not exactly concerned with political correctness, as evidenced by even the title of tonight's premiere: "The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby." In the episode, Dee and Mac do, in fact, find a baby in a dumpster and try to figure out how to make it non-white in the hopes that it will be cast in commercials. Meanwhile, Dennis finds a creative way to get back at a particularly rude environmental activist and Charlie learns the jarring truth about his birth.

Sunny Side Down

Here are some faux behind-the-scenes shenanigans on the crazy FX show "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," about two siblings and their friends who run an Irish pub in Philly.

Here are some faux behind-the-scenes shenanigans on the crazy FX show "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," about two siblings and their friends who run an Irish pub in Philly. It includes Fred Savage, Rhea Perlman, and the most terrifying sentence I think I've ever heard: "It's your turn to blow DeVito."

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Hits MySpace

FX may be best known these days for its edgy dramas, but it also has a great comedy in its stable: "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," about two siblings and their friends who run an Irish pub in Philly.

FX may be best known these days for its edgy dramas, but it also has a great comedy in its stable: "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," about two siblings and their friends who run an Irish pub in Philly. Together with Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Dennis's (Glenn Howerton) enterprising dad (Danny DeVito), the foursome embark on one delightfully ill-advised adventure after another. Whether they're attending abortion-rights rallies to meet girls, pretending to be disabled to get sympathy lap dances or charging people to see a stain on their wall that looks like the Virgin Mary, the group's short-sighted plans always go awry — yet their friendships remain relatively intact. One of the best things about this show is that it's on FX, a network that not only pushes the envelope with its dramas, but also makes "Always Sunny" much darker than most other comedies currently on TV.

The third season is set to premiere Sept. 13, but FX and MySpace have made one episode available now. The episode, "Mac is a Serial Killer," will be online from today through Aug. 23. It's not the season premiere, but it will appear later in this fall's 15-episode season. The MySpace site also includes a few videos and some photos and other goodies for pimping out your own profile.

If you need to catch up, the first two seasons arrive on DVD Sept. 4. In the meantime, you can see some of the amusing (and vaguely disturbing) "Mac vs. PC" parodies FX is using to promote the upcoming season if you read more

Danny DeVito to Be Awarded Something

Variety is reporting this curious tidbit: At the Karlovy Vary Film Festival next week in the Czech Republic, Danny DeVito will be honored with a Crystal Globe for, apparently, his "contribution to world cinema."

Variety is reporting this curious tidbit: At the Karlovy Vary Film Festival next week in the Czech Republic, Danny DeVito will be honored with a Crystal Globe for, apparently, his "contribution to world cinema."

The article continues to say that DeVito will also introduce the movie he stars in titled The Good Night, directed by Gwenyth Paltrow's brother Jake Paltrow and also starring... Gwyneth Paltrow.

But back it up for a minute here... world cinema? Perhaps I underestimated the impact Reno! 911: Miami had on the world because this is baffling to me. What, exactly, has DeVito done for world cinema? No, seriously, I'm asking you.

Famous Friends and Family Have A Good Night

Last night was a family affair for the Paltrows at the premiere of The Good Night.

Last night was a family affair for the Paltrows at the premiere of The Good Night. The film stars Gwyneth and is directed by her brother Jake. Their mom Blythe Danner came out to support her two kids, along with family friends Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw. Gwyneth was so moved by Jake's directorial debut she even cried onstage after the screening, saying, "I'm so proud of my brother." Sounds like the film went off without a hitch. Gwyn was evidently concerned that the unpatriotic comments she was said to have made last year (she said later she was misquoted) would hurt her brother's film. But from the big turnout at Sundance, it looks like she has nothing to worry about.
