A Burberry-clad Ryan Gosling reunited with his friend and Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn last night at the film's Toronto International Film Festival debut. The collaborators weren't joined by leading ladies Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks for the evening, but Drive's supporting stars Albert Brooks and Bryan Cranston both turned up for the event. As usual, the camaraderie between Ryan and Nicolas was evident on the press line and as they introduced the movie. It's been a busy weekend in Canada for Ryan. On Friday night, he attended The Ides of March premiere with his director and costar George Clooney. George had his new love Stacey Keibler along for the red-carpet affair, while Ryan brought his mother as his date. Ryan has spent recent weeks shooting The Place Beyond the Pines in NY with Eva Mendes and Bradley Cooper, but made a pit stop in LA before heading north for the fest. Ryan and Eva went to Disneyland together on Monday night, where they were spotted cuddling and holding hands.
Ryan Gosling Goes Retro For the Drive Poster
Ryan Gosling has some beautiful costars in Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks for his upcoming action thriller Drive, but the one-sheet is all about the leading man. The '80s-style poster for the film features a dirty Gosling chewing on a toothpick and some serious hot pink font. Don't get it confused with the cheesy comedies of that generation though; the Drive trailer proves that it's got a lot of intensity (not to mention a lot of violence).

Ryan Gosling Handles His Cars and Sexy Ladies Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks in Drive Trailer
Carey Mulligan brought Drive to Comic-Con yesterday, where she helped debut a sneak peek and the first trailer for the action-packed indie film. Unfortunately Ryan Gosling wasn't able to make the trek to San Diego, though he was a hot topic of conversation and we get to see his brooding, handsome face in the red band preview. Ryan stars as a stunt driver who moonlights behind the wheel in high speed getaways, but things get complicated when he falls in love with a young mother, Carey, who he has to protect when a heist goes wrong. Ryan's character isn't big on words, though we're not complaining when it means getting a passionate and dangerous elevator kiss with Carey. The movie also stars Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, and Ron Perlman.

Carey Mulligan Experiences Her First Comic-Con to Talk About Drive and Her Dreamy Costar Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling couldn't be at Comic-Con to talk about his upcoming thriller Drive, but his beautiful costar, Carey Mulligan, was on hand to discuss both him and what it was like to play his love interest. Another costar, Ron Perlman, and director Nicolas Winding Refn were also there to talk about the car-centric action movie. Despite Gosling's absence, we still got to see some of the actor via some footage of the film that showed it to be intense, sexy, and pretty gory. Check out some of the choice details from the panel.
- Mulligan was asked about her part in the movie, and she declared that her job was to "fall in love with Ryan Gosling . . . rough." Gushing about what a nice guy he is, she said that he showed up to the set after having studied everything about cars and was the hit of the production. She said "everyone fell in love with him." It's hard to believe, I know.
- The footage we saw provided the tone for the film: dark but seductive. Gosling's character discovers a hit has been placed on him, and in the scene we saw, he goes head to head with a man in an elevator, but before the fight, he lays one of the sexiest kisses I've ever seen on film on Mulligan.
- Danish director Refn gave the credit to Gosling for making Drive happen. "This film got made because Ryan wanted to make it." Refn, who has another project with Gosling lined up after this (the remake of Logan's Run), shared a hilarious anecdote about his first meeting with Gosling, in which they came up with the idea for the movie. Refn had a fever and took powerful cold medicine, which he blamed for the fact that he and Gosling had "no connection" when they met because he was so out of it. After he asked Gosling to take him home halfway through dinner, REO Speedwagon's "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" came on, and Refn started to cry, then sing the song. He said that he screamed at Gosling: "I got it! I know what Drive is," and came up with the concept — it's about "a man who drives around at night listening to pop music and that's his relief." Gosling's response? "We're doing it."
Video: Ryan Gosling "Mates" With His Drive Director at the LA Film Festival Premiere!
Ryan Gosling has a new BFF in director Nicolas Winding Refn. The two hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles Film Festival premiere of their film Drive over the weekend, where Ryan joked about their very close relationship. The guys have a slate of films coming up where they'll be working together, and Nicolas revealed that he'd also like to cast costar Christina Hendricks in a big-screen version of Wonder Woman. PopSugar editor Lindsay Miller was at the screening, and has the full scoop from Ryan and Christina — watch!
Ryan Gosling Looks Dapper at His Drive Premiere With Leading Lady Christina Hendricks
Ryan Gosling stepped out for the LA premiere of his thriller Drive last night in LA, looking hot and hip in a skinny Burberry suit paired with bright red socks. The movie, helmed by director Nicolas Winding Refn, is already garnering great critical buzz and made its West coast debut as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival. Carey Mulligan couldn't attend the gala event given her busy schedule in the off-Broadway play Through a Glass Darkly, but another of Ryan's leading ladies, Christina Hendricks, did join him on the red carpet. We spoke with Ryan about why he enjoyed shooting an action project following Blue Valentine and his admiration for both of his female costars. He also joked about his collaboration with Nicolas. He said: "Did he say that we professionally mated in my car and made a movie baby? I guess it's true. I wouldn't put it like that, but it's too late now." Ryan made a quick exit after the screening, and was seen heading out of LAX with his dog George in his arms late that night. Fans will have to wait several months to see him as a Hollywood stunt driver who picks up some shady work on the side in Drive. The action movie doesn't hit theaters until September, but in the meantime, Ryan won't be completely absent from the big screen; his comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love is out July 29.
Ryan Gosling Looks Super Sexy in a Blue Tux on the Red Carpet
Ryan Gosling brought the hotness in a blue tuxedo at the premiere of Drive in Cannes today. He flashed his sexy grin and got playful with director Nicolas Winding Refn as they made their way up the grand staircase into the screening. Ryan and Nicolas were up early in the French city for a photocall this morning, and despite Ryan's unique outfit choice, he was still looking sexy for the cameras. The actor also popped up at the Cinema For Peace dinner with Leonardo DiCaprio after arriving in the South of France on Wednesday. His timing was perfect since ex Rachel McAdams wrapped up her film festival duties and headed out of town just a few days earlier, eliminating any chance of a possible run-in. Ryan clearly wasn't concerned since he let loose at Paul Allen's Brazilian-themed yacht party with the likes of Bar Refaeli, who is newly single following her split from Leo.

Ryan Gosling Bares His Chest and Unique Fashion Sense at Cannes Drive Photo Call
Ryan Gosling picked what could double as a pajama top for this morning's Drive photo call at Cannes. His film is helping to close out the festival and debuted to largely positive reviews already. He's without his leading ladies in the movie, Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks, who are both back in the states. Always the fashion plate, Ryan paired his navy top with white pants and snappy wingtip shoes. The actor kicked off his time in Cannes alongside Leonardo DiCaprio at Wednesday's Cinema For Peace dinner, and Ryan will be back on the red carpet for this evening's premiere. He looks good no matter what he's wearing, but Ryan Gosling's shirtless physique is part of what landed him in our list of the hottest Blockbuster Boys of Summer.
Ryan Gosling Drives Late-Night Ahead of His 30th Birthday
Ryan Gosling was on the downtown LA set of Drive yesterday until late last night. He's been shooting the thriller over the last month alongside Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks, but he's apparently looking forward to traveling abroad soon. Ryan's due for a special trip, as he turns 30 tomorrow! The birthday boy recently shot down rumors of romance with Blake Lively, but he has plenty of onscreen love interests — he plays husband to Kirsten Dunst in their upcoming All Good Things and has a similar role opposite Michelle Williams in Blue Valentine.
