These two don't seem to do anything without each other these days, and now that they're finishing up promoting El Cantante, they're getting ready to hit the road together. The tour dates have just been released and right before those shows start, Jennifer will be sharing the stage with Aerosmith, Alicia Keyes, Fergie and more. The Fashion Rocks concert takes place in NYC on September 6th and will air on CBS on the 7th. Fun times!

To be honest, I was expecting a lot worse and the movie really wasn't completely atrocious. It just wasn't any good. How's that for a rave review?
As one of the few sorry people who actually suffered through Gigli I will say that El Cantante is not nearly as bad as that 2003 monstrosity. That being said, neither Jennifer Lopez or Marc Anthony has the acting ability to carry a movie, especially one that sets out to tell such an intense story. In the end, J Lo's Newyorican Productions' first film is a lengthy music video-like tribute to the biopic, which runs the gamut of cliches but ultimately sheds little new light on the genre. Jennifer Lopez has been in LA promoting El Cantante and even though the movie didn't crack the top ten grossing films in its opening weekend, it is considered a box office success. The movie brought in $3.3 million which is even less than LL's disaster film from last weekend, however, it is playing on so few screens and the actual average per screen was the 4th highest (behind Bourne, Simpsons and Becoming Jane). This is great news for Jennifer and Marc who put their heart and soul into this project. So along with her fabulous marriage and her successful business empire, J Lo can now be proud of her opening weekend box office numbers - even if $3.3 seems low.
This upcoming weekend will be very exciting at movie theaters. Out of the following movies opening this Friday August 3, which are you most interested to see? Is it Hot Rod with the funny and charmingly tousled Andy Samberg? Or Becoming Jane starring Anne Hathaway? Perhaps it's El Cantante with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, or David Wain and Ken Marino's The Ten? Or maybe you'll go for younger fare with the Bratz movie, or Underdog? Of course, this could all be meaningless, seeing as The Bourne Ultimatum opens this weekend, too.
J Lo and Marc brought their baby, El Cantante to LA last night to show off to some of their friends. Eva Longoria and Ana Ortiz were among the beautiful women who came out to see the couple retell the story of salsa legend Hector Lavoe and his wife Puchi. I got to see the movie last night and will reserve my opinions for my review on Buzz this Friday, but I will say that Jennifer looked great in her 70s and 80s get ups, not unlike this white number. Also, I might have a problem looking at J Lo and Marc in the same way for a while. Thankfully I think the real Lopez-Anthony union is a lot less self-destructive than their on screen counterparts.
Jennifer Lopez once again went with a one-shoulder gown in an ambitious shade of coral for the NYC premiere of El Cantante last night. As usual Marc went with the semi-exposed chest look. Hey, if you've got a thing, stick with it. The film itself looks kinda dark, so I have to love that they kept it light for the premiere. Lately the more and more I've seen J Lo and Marc the more I love them and the fun they have together. Jennifer's BFF Leah Remini's dress may have been a bit bizarre, but I love that she was there for her girl.
J Lo and Marc have been side-by-side on their El Cantante promotional tour, but Jennifer went solo in some Fab shoes to The Today Show this morning. The movie is obviously near and dear to both Jen and Marc, but it's been especially important to her as the first film from her new company, Nuyorican Productions. She told Matt Lauer about why she chose this project in particular, "I always wanted this to be first because it’s a Latin story, because it does have music in it. I felt it just personified everything I’ve been about through my career." Well, considering the story is ultimately tragic, hopefully it's not about everything in her career, but it's always good to hear about stars' passion projects.

We recently announced the news that the couple is planning on hitting the road together after they finish premiering their latest project, this film. Now Marc dishes more about why he wants to tour with his wife. He said, "Jennifer has never toured... I've toured all my life. This is where I can step in and say, 'Oh, my God, this could be fun,' and introduce her to that world." Sounds like these two love mixing work and play and it only seems to make their marriage stronger.

Maybe that's the point — maybe "El Cantante" was all about his woman. But it kinda seems that JLo wanted to dominate this film, so she did. And frankly, I'm not sure she'll be able to carry this on her own, try as she might... and she tries mightily.
