They were a matching pair in black on the red carpet, though earlier in the day Elisabetta stepped out alone to shop and George took care of his own business. George, who's between movie projects gearing up for another Soderbergh collaboration, has spent the last few months dedicating himself to philanthropy, with a stop in Africa and a cameo on Jon Stewart's telethon. George is tending to other important duties as well, like extending a warm welcome to the newest member of the People's Sexiest Man Alive club. He sent a shout-out to Ryan Reynolds at yesterday's event, saying, "I'm very happy for him. . . I'm also happy that it's not Brad [Pitt]."

Cindy Crawford and Elisabetta Canalis were spotted over the weekend at their usual place in Cabo. Both Cindy and her husband, Rande Gerber, were spotted soaking up the sun together on Saturday, while Elisabetta sported her mismatched bikini for a solo trip to the beach yesterday. Elisabetta's boyfriend, George Clooney, didn't pop up during their sunny days south of the border, but Cindy spoke to Extra last week about his love life. George Clooney led the way for Elisabetta Canalis after dinner at Nobu in Milan last night. They were joined by Roberto Cavalli, who stopped by the amfAR gala to pose with Heidi Klum on the red carpet earlier in the evening. Elisabetta has stripped down to almost nothing as a model for Cavalli Underwear, and she's been close with the designer for some time. George also accompanied Elisabetta to the Georgio Armani show yesterday where he couldn't keep his hands, or face, off her. The happy couple are in the city for Milan Fashion Week, traveling from visiting her family elsewhere in Italy last week. Despite skeptics, George is clearly full speed ahead in his relationship with Elisabetta, and he looks just as smitten as a year ago.

Milan Fashion Week was in full swing over the weekend and today, with fashionable ladies and their men stepping out for shows. Brian Austin Green sat front row with Megan Fox at Emporio Armani on Saturday, just a day ahead of his Desperate Housewives debut. Rachel Bilson honored designer Matthew Williamson at a party in his honor on Sunday and then joined Taylor Swift and Heidi Klum at the Robert Cavalli show this morning, where they were decked out in his designs. George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis, meanwhile, broke from their Sardinian getaway to show some affection on their way into Giorgio Armani, where the brand's model Megan was back out with Brian. George Clooney escorted Elisabetta Canalis to a romantic dinner in Milan yesterday. The couple are back in Northern Italy after visiting her hometown on the island of Sardinia last week. During the trip he got to know her family and was honored with a big lunch. George left the local population starstruck, which he also manages to do back home in Hollywood. The cast of Modern Family stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson admitted regretting that he didn't agree to take off his top during the funny Emmys skit where he shared a bed with George. Jesse said, "No one is ever going to ask you to get into bed shirtless with George Clooney, ever again."

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis held hands yesterday while on a walk through Trenuraghes, her hometown on the Italian island of Sardinia. The couple spent time in her city last week too, as George gets to know the place where she grew up as well as her nearest and dearest. Her family reportedly hosted a big lunch for him last Wednesday, allowing him to meet even more of the Canalis clan. George and Elisabetta are in her native country after a stint in LA, where they visited his old haunts and attended the Emmys together.

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis stuck together yesterday as they headed toward a flight out of LAX. The pair have been in California for the past few weeks, enjoying downtime after attending the Emmys. They fit in a date night and a scenic motorcycle ride, but George has also been busy promoting his box-office-winning movie The American. His press duties on behalf of the project aren't done yet, as he's also scheduled to attend an English premiere next month during the London Film Festival.
