Hollywood came to Tampa this week for the Republican National Convention on behalf of The Creative Coalition, a nonpartisan nonprofit that advocates for funding of the arts. At the convention, Evan Handler of Sex and the City and Californication was among the actors gathered to talk to policy-makers about the importance of funding the National Endowment For the Arts and to promote the educational and economic benefits of the entertainment industry. At a reception on Wednesday, I had a chance to interview Evan, who told us that he wants his 5-year-old daughter to have the same access to the arts in public schools that he did. We also chatted with him about women's issues like abortion and birth control. Wach now!
Audrina Lives a Suite Life and Comments on Heidi's New Look
Audrina Patridge joined Gerard Butler, Kristen Bell, Felicity Huffman, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and more celebs yesterday at a Golden Globes gift suite in LA. The event was more casual than the ladies luncheon with Ashley Greene and Rachel Bilson going on across town, but Audrina and company were more than happy to show off their new acquisitions. Audrina opened up about Heidi Montag's plastic surgery makeover and said, "I think it's a case of, 'To each their own' . . . but 10 procedures in one day is a little much." Seems like a diplomatic response from Audrina, though you guys almost unanimously think Heidi went too far.

David's Hank Is in a Carefree Mood
David Duchovny filmed scenes for Californication at Venice Beach with Evan Handler yesterday. Staying true to Hank's character, he looked like a bit lost, stumbling around and dancing with a cigarette in his mouth. While we'll have to wait until season three to see what happens with Hank's love life, David's been happily spending time with Tea Leoni and their kids off camera.

David Gears Us Up For Season Three of Californication
David Duchovny puffed on a cigarette, filming scenes for Californication with Evan Handler in LA yesterday. He looked goofy running around in those long socks, but we never know what to expect from Hank Moody. Californication is one of the top shows we're looking forward to watching again, but which Summer series are you most excited about?
David Duchovny Is Back to California Dreaming
David Duchovny slipped back into Hank Moody's shoes and shades to film Californication with Evan Handler in LA yesterday. David endured a lot of drama in his personal life while filming Season 2, so hopefully, things will be a bit quieter this time around. While he and Tea have been spotted together more than a few times in the past months, supposedly a reconciliation isn't set in stone just yet. Either way, we're looking forward to David's on-screen relationship issues on the return of one of our favorite summertime shows.

It's Showtime for Michael C. Hall and Mary-Louise Parker
Lots of stars from Showtime were out in NYC last night to celebrate the upcoming premieres of Dexter and Californication. Michael C. Hall and Evan Handler were on hand to celebrate their respective programs, while Mary-Louise Parker came out to support her network-mates. David Duchovny missed the bash as he deals with his other issues, but that doesn't take away from our excitement for the return of his series — in fact, it's one of the fifteen Fall shows we can't wait to watch!

Kristin Debuts Charlotte York's SatC Family
We thought things had wrapped up on the set of the SatC movie, but they're obviously still going strong. Yesterday Kristin Davis worked on some scenes with her very cute on-screen family, now complete with the little girl Charlotte and Harry always wanted. We know this might feel a little like a spoiler, but we all knew that they were promised a baby at the end of the series, and now she's already growing up! We bet that Charlotte's little girl even got an amazing wardrobe for the movie. As for Evan Handler (Harry), it's been so weird watching him on Californication - especially as the dirty talent agent. We're gonna have to seriously change gears when we watch the SatC movie in May.

The Boys Are Back in Town for "Sex and the City" Movie

We already knew that Mr. Big was back for the "Sex and the City" movie, and I was pretty sure it was only a matter of time before the other main men were confirmed as well. Now it's official, according to MTV: Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis), Steve (David Eigenberg) and Harry (Evan Handler) will all be in the "Sex and the City" movie, joining the four main ladies, Mr. Big and um, Jennifer Hudson. Welcome back, gentlemen.
I have to say, a part of me would love to see Aidan on the big screen somehow, too. Le sigh.
What do you think about this news? Would you like to see some fresh meat new guys join the cast to spice things up? Or is it best that they stick with the old familiar?

- During a panel discussion, Naomi Campbell claimed that she's never been on the cover of British Vogue because she's always passed up for a white model. You'd think she'd remember one of the eight times she actually did appear on the cover of British Vogue. - Gatecrasher
