Charlize Theron and her mom Gerda took Jackson shopping around LA on Saturday. They stopped by Children's Place and Niketown during the outing, which came ahead of Jackson's big day. Jackson celebrated his first birthday with a party at home on Sunday that was attended by Chelsea Handler, Sandra Bullock, and Sandra's son Louis. Sandra and Louis brought a gift from Landis' Labyrinth Toy Shop and chatted with Chelsea on their way into the bash.

Charlize returned to the West Coast just in time for all the festivities. She attended the Berlin International Film Festival last week, when she was honored at the Cinema For Peace Gala. Charlize will be back in the spotlight this weekend, since she's presenting at the Oscars — don't forget to fill out an Oscars ballot before the big show on Sunday!

Charlize Theron shared Champagne with her mother, Gerda, on Friday in Cape Town, South Africa. The actress was still sporting the close-shaved haircut she's maintained for several months. She cropped her locks for her role in Mad Max 4: Fury Road, which she has been shooting off and on since June. Despite her new look, Charlize was recognized by a handful of fans as she and her mother enjoyed a bottle of Veuve Clicquot at the trendy Café Caprice, and she graciously stopped to pose for a few photos.

Charlize's son, Jackson, wasn't along for the Friday outing. Since Charlize adopted Jackson last year, he's been her frequent travel companion. He was by her side this Spring as she traveled to promote Snow White and the Huntsman, and she also keeps him close when they're at home in LA, whether they're running errands or meeting up with his grandmother for lunch.
