Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham Gave Her Mom a Copy of Fifty Shades of Grey

Victoria Beckham wore just bubbles for the cover of September's Glamour.

Victoria Beckham wore just bubbles for the cover of September's Glamour. Inside the issue, she dons considerably more, including a Victoria Beckham Collection dress she designed herself. Posh has the honor of both fronting and coediting their first-ever "Full-On Fashion" issue, which will be available on newsstands and online Aug. 7 — take a look at Victoria Beckham's pictures in Glamour!

Part of Posh's duties included penning an editor's note for the front of the magazine. In it, Victoria wrote about actresses she'd love to see on future Glamour covers, including Chloe Moretz, Clémence Poésy, and Kate Bosworth. Posh also did an interview, sharing her fashion don'ts, her thoughts on Fifty Shades of Grey, and her family. Here are highlights from Victoria Beckham in Glamour:

  • Victoria's list of fashion don'ts: "Boat shoes (unless of course you're designer Alber Elbaz or on a boat!), Bermuda shorts, nose rings, Crocs, and American tan tights (that's nude pantyhose to you)."
  • On reading Fifty Shades of Grey: "I'm halfway through the second one. I even bought my mum the book! But every time she tries to engage in conversation about it, I kind of dodge the subject. I don't really want to talk to my mother about S&M."
  • On David seeing her fashion show last year: "I was nervous about this show. I was feeling a lot of pressure. He phoned me the night before, and I just said, 'I want you to come be with me. I want a cuddle. I really do.' And it was great to have him there. I think he was surprised; I don't usually bother him with much detail. And then you get there, and the models, the hair, the makeup . . . I think he was blown away!"
  • On her hopes for her family in five years: "I'd like everybody to be healthy and happy. I'd like to be growing the business at a steady pace, and to be making more women feel empowered, beautiful, and confident. And I'd never say never about another baby. It's a juggling act — a career, family, a husband who's busy. But I'd never say never!"

Nicole Richie is the star of a special spread in the June issue of Glamour, which features Carrie Underwood on the cover. Nicole lounged poolside in cover-ups and bikinis for the shoot to promote her many projects including Fashion Star and her new Nicole Richie Collection for QVC. She shared her beauty tips, talked about married life, and proclaimed that she's "proud" of her body. Here's more from Nicole Richie in Glamour:

  • On her husband, Joel Madden: "You know, Joel barely speaks all day, and then out of
nowhere he has 9 million things to say, only for 30 minutes, from 9:00 to 9:30 P.M., when I'm watching Real Housewives."
  • On her body: "I feel [gets all fake dramatic]…great about my body. [Laughs.] You know, aesthetically I can be picky, but I choose not to. I've taken huge leaps. I'm proud of that. I work out, and I get lots of sleep, and so I feel great. And that is most important."
  • On her favorite part of the day: "When I wake up at 5:30 A.M. and it's still dark out. I love, love being alone. It helps me to be a better mom to my kids and a better person at work."
Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood Celebrates Her New Album With a Glamour Cover

Carrie Underwood went bright in a Rochas dress for the cover of Glamour's June issue.

Carrie Underwood went bright in a Rochas dress for the cover of Glamour's June issue. She's promoting her new album Blown Away, out today, and the accompanying tour, which kicks off at the end of the month. Carrie's getting back to music after taking a break to settle into married life with husband Mike Fisher. The singer talked to the publication about life with Mike, how they handle fame, and her first big splurge. Here's more from Carrie Underwood in Glamour:

  • On her first big purchase after finding fame: "My first stupid purchase was an accident. I was in Paris and went into one of those big, name-brand, fancy-schmancy designers, and I picked up a sweatshirt. Maybe I didn't understand the price tag. I'm really bad with numbers. But when I went to check out, that sucker was $2,000. I've worn it twice."
  • On staying grounded: "But my husband came from a small town and hardworking parents like I did, and I don't think we've lost that mind-set. We don't have a bowling alley in our basement. We don't have houses on the beach and one in New York and one in LA. I drive a three-year-old Ford Escape Hybrid. We don't care about stuff like that."
  • On her relationship with Mike: "A plus is, he knew what to expect. In Canada he was a big celebrity, so he knows what it's like living under a microscope. And he travels a lot, which is good for both of us. We're both independent people, so we can't have somebody around 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The drawback is that we can go weeks without seeing each other. But he's the only guy I've never had to worry about."
