First Look: Simon Pegg and Hank Azaria in Run, Fat Boy, Run

I love me some Simon Pegg, as I think pretty much everything he does is hilarious.

I love me some Simon Pegg, as I think pretty much everything he does is hilarious. And I know many of you — like me — adore Hank Azaria. So the U.K. preview for this fall's comedy Run, Fat Boy, Run should please a good number of Pegg and Azaria fans.

Curiously, the movie was written by Michael Ian Black and directed by David Schwimmer. Pegg plays Dennis, an out-of-shape dude who leaves his pregnant fiancee Libby (Thandie Newton) at the altar. Five years later, he believes that she's the love of his life and decides to win her away from her new man (Azaria, who looks unbelievably good in this trailer) by running his first marathon. Let the training montages begin!

Matt Damon

Ben and Matt Break from the Surf to Hit the Tables

For me, the countdown to Bourne is officially here!

For me, the countdown to Bourne is officially here! In less than one month Jason remembers. Buzz just posted the latest trailer and it's amazing. As if we weren't already getting our Affleck-Damon fix this summer with all those surfing pics, we now get the boys back in their old element - Vegas baby. Matt used to play the role in Rounders and Ben used to play professionally. The duo were there to raise money for the Enough Project and the International Rescue Committee which both provide help for survivors of the crisis in Darfur. Other celebs betting for good included Don Cheadle, Adam Sandler and David Spade.

Apparently Matty was knocked out early but Ben held his own. However, he said he has better things to do these days than play poker. Ben told People, "I've got a kid [daughter Violet, 2] and I'm directing movies. I have hardly any time now. Poker takes a lot of time if you want to stay good. I don't want to suck. I was good. I'm still good. Family is better though." Clearly this man is in a happy marriage and in love with the women in his life. This Ben is much better than the drinking, gambling bachelor from back in the day.

TV Tonight: The 400th Episode of "The Simpsons"

After a week of sad season and series finales — I'm still feeling weepy over "Gilmore Girls," "Ugly Betty," and "Grey's" — I'm glad that we have some more lighthearted fare to look forward to tonight as "The Simpsons" wraps up its 18th season.

After a week of sad season and series finales — I'm still feeling weepy over "Gilmore Girls," "Ugly Betty," and "Grey's" — I'm glad that we have some more lighthearted fare to look forward to tonight as "The Simpsons" wraps up its 18th season. The one-hour finale (actually two separate episodes) starts with a parody of "24," then concludes with the series' whopping 400th episode.

Of the two, I'm most excited about the parody, "24 Minutes," with Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub voicing cartoon versions of Jack and Chloe. The skeptic in me wants to point out that it's a nice bit of cross-promotion for the season finale of "24" on Monday; the "Simpsons" fan in me thinks this episode is going to be awesome. The second half-hour — the one that's technically No. 400 — is called "You Kent Always Say What You Want," featuring news anchor Kent Brockman going on a profanity-laced tirade after Homer spills coffee on his lap while the two are on live TV.

Vince Vaughn

Owen and Vince Won't Be Outsourced

Owen Wilson was Kate-free the other day while out leaving The Penthouse in the Huntley Hotel.

Owen Wilson was Kate-free the other day while out leaving The Penthouse in the Huntley Hotel. Who knows what he was doing, maybe a meeting for his next film? One thing's for sure though, he wasn't working on Hank Azaria's current project Outsourced. In fact he and Vince just backed out of the film that Hank wrote specifically for them. It's supposed to be Hank's directorial debut and he's out his two lead actors! Sounds like he might have to go back to the drawing board.

Vince and Owen Quit Azaria's Movie

MTV is reporting that Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have dropped out of Outsourced, Hank Azaria's directorial debut that was supposedly developed with Vaughn and Wilson in mind.

MTV is reporting that Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have dropped out of Outsourced, Hank Azaria's directorial debut that was supposedly developed with Vaughn and Wilson in mind. The article continues:

“It was developed for Vince and Owen, but they’re not doing it anymore,” director Hank Azaria revealed.

“The Simpsons” voice actor has put his acting career on hold to shoot “Outsourced,” a comedy that marks Azaria’s directorial debut. “It’s about these two guys who work at a factory in Southern California,” Azaria said. “Their jobs get outsourced to Mexico, and they decide ‘Well, we like Mexico. Let’s go down there and work down there’. And they become like the Norma Raes of Mexico.”

Personally, I say "good riddance." Hank Azaria is one of the funniest people in Hollywood, and also one of the least appreciated, in my humble opinion. Vaughn and Wilson — while funny sometimes — have often struck me as cocky and obnoxious, so I've decided to be mad at them on Azaria's behalf. And maybe this just clears the way for some better comedic actors to take their places.

Celebs Ante Up for a Game of Hold 'Em

Some celebs hauled themselves out to Vegas Commerce, CA for an invitational poker touranament this weekend.

Some celebs hauled themselves out to Vegas Commerce, CA for an invitational poker touranament this weekend. While the Hilton girls are regulars at these events, I refuse to believe that they are secretly hustlers. Meanwhile, perhaps Vince should leave the evil-looking slicked back hair thing to DiCaprio. So who's got your bet as the big winner of the night? I say Cheadle. Just a hunch.

Justin's Alpha Dog May be in Some Trouble

Justin may be single now, but he sure didn't look sad walking down the red carpet solo to show off his latest project.

Justin may be single now, but he sure didn't look sad walking down the red carpet solo to show off his latest project. Last night JT attended the premiere of his new movie Alpha Dog in LA. It's a film about the kidnap and murder of a Southern California teenager that actually did happen, and now the real life drama may cause the film's January 12th release to be delayed. Here's more:

Despite having the characters' names changed, Hollywood is shown in a bad light throughout the film, attorney James Blatt said, and a jury pool could be tainted, infringing on Hollywood's right to a fair trial.

Universal Studios argued that prohibiting the public from seeing the movie would violate the First Amendment.

Last month, a federal judge refused to stop the film's release but Hollywood appealed the decision. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is expected to rule in the coming days.

"Alpha Dog" is based on the kidnapping and slaying of 15-year-old Nicholas Markowitz seven years ago. Prosecutors believe Hollywood, portrayed in the movie by Emile Hirsch, was the mastermind behind the murder plot. The teen's body was later found in a remote Santa Barbara County camping area.

Markowitz was killed as part of a feud Hollywood had with the victim's older half brother over a $1,200 drug debt, prosecutors said. Four others have been convicted in connection with the murder.

Let's hope nothing comes of this. We're really looking forward to checking out JT's new flick soon. We're betting it will be a good one based on the fabulous acting skills he showed off a few weeks ago on SNL.
