Carey Mulligan is Spring-ready surrounded by flowers for Harper's Bazaar UK's June issue. She's on the promotional trail as she preps for the May 10 release of The Great Gatsby, and sat down at a press conference in NYC to chat up the film over the weekend. Carey was joined at the event by her costars, including Leonardo DiCaprio, who also received mention in the publication. She revealed her excitement about auditioning with Leo, shared her favorite on set song, and explained her love for Prada. Here's more from Carey Mulligan in Harper's Bazaar UK and make sure check out the full interview in the June issue on sale May 1 and as a digital edition:

  • On working with Leonardo DiCaprio: "Well, he wasn’t my pin-up, but he was for a lot of my girlfriends. When I did the audition with Leo in New York I walked away grinning. Just the idea that if I never got any further, I had just spent an hour and a half acting with Leonardo DiCaprio."
  • On listening to LMFAO "Party Rock Anthem" while filming Gatsby: "That’s what we used to dance to. It’s also the song that made me laugh hysterically and there were lots of times when I needed to go into a scene with that kind of energy."
  • On wearing Prada: "I have worn a lot of Prada and always loved their clothes. I always felt very comfortable. They were the first designer house that ever lent me anything; I wore Prada to the Oscars. The people who work there are so lovely and really just non-scary fashion people."

This month's selection of images runs the gamut from colorful and sparkly, like Taylor Swift on the cover of Glamour, to clean, spare, and high-end — Aymeline Valade's cover of Vogue Japan, on which she wears a piece from Raf Simons's debut couture collection for Christian Dior, is a perfect example.

Cameron Diaz Talks Loving Gwyneth and the Many Charms of British Men

Cameron Diaz strikes a sexy pose for the June 2012 cover of Harper's Bazaar UK.

Cameron Diaz strikes a sexy pose for the June 2012 cover of Harper's Bazaar UK. The full feature appears in the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, which is on sale Thursday, May 3. Her next movie, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, will be out in the US next month. In the picture, Cameron plays a mother-to-be. She spoke about having kids in real life with the magazine and also touched on how she's happy with her life at the present. Cameron also spoke about her connection with pal Gwyneth Paltrow and even dished on the charms of British men. Click through to see more Cameron in the magazine, and here are highlights from Cameron Diaz in Harper's Bazaar UK:

  • On why she loves British men: "I love their sense of humour and the sense of chivalry and charm. It's something that is innately a part of the culture — we don't have that over here, it's not the same in America."
  • On her friendship with Gwyneth: "We became very close after my dad's death. She reached out and it was very sweet. We bonded on that . . . They (Martin/Paltrow) are exceptional people. We have known each other because we have been in the business for the same amount of time."
  • On being happy with the present: "I'm not sitting there going 'Oh my god, when am I going to get married? When am I going to have a baby?' I would be remiss if I was living my life wishing I had something other than what I have. If one day, I am blessed with the experience of having a child, I would be overjoyed, but I am not sitting here feeling empty because I haven't yet, or that I may not."
  • On her friends and family: "I'm a nurturer to all my friends. I don't feel alone in the world. I have so many friends, more friends who are like me (without children) than not. I also have girlfriends who have kids, and I have strong relationships with their children and my nieces and nephews. My happiest moments are when I'm with my friends — and I consider them to be my greatest wealth. They are my crown jewels."

  • Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, the singer and style star we all know and love as Lady Gaga, turned 26 years old today. A fan tweeted to Gaga to ask her how she planned to celebrate, and she replied "Quinceañera." [MTV Style]

  • T Magazine editor Sally Singer confessed to being just as obsessed with nail art as the rest of the fashion world when she collaborated with photographer Raymond Meier and manicurist Maki Sakamoto on a series of photos of her ideal nail art looks. "I had an idea for left wing nails—a left hand with the symbols for different socialist parties on each fingernail, and the right hand could just be painted black," she said. [Nowness]

  • Iconic photographer Bruce Weber created a short film for ubiquitous mall brand Abercrombie & Fitch that features a group of half-naked young men writhing around in a shower together before one of them plants a tender kiss on the forehead of another. Weber has created slightly homoerotic campaigns and imagery for the brand in the past, but this is the first one to actually touch the issue — pun intended — first hand. [Styleite]

  • Model and humanitarian Liya Kebede is the star of a new French children's film called Sur la piste du Marsupilami, about a reporter on the hunt for an animal that may or may not exist. Kebede plays Queen Paya, leader of a mystical realm called (we know, stay with us) Palombia, in which she dances and does "magical things with balls of light." [The Cut]

  • Designer Victoria Beckham is on the cover of the April issue of Harper's Bazaar UK. The magazine dubbed her Queen Victoria in reference to her continued climb up the ranks of British fashion designers, and in a nod to Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, which is being celebrated this year. Behind-the-Scenes Snaps (and a Short Film!) From the Upcoming Supermodel-Filled Duran Duran Music Video Shoot

    >> Five of the original supermodels — Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Yasmin Le Bon, Cindy Crawford, and Eva Herzigova — teamed up with Duran Duran in June to shoot the music video for the band's upcoming single, "Girl Panic!"
    Harper's Bazaar UK December 2011

    >> Five of the original supermodels — Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Yasmin Le Bon, Cindy Crawford, and Eva Herzigova — teamed up with Duran Duran in June to shoot the music video for the band's upcoming single, "Girl Panic!" . . . and the December 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar UK has a first look.

As Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes explained of the project, "Harper's had approached us about collaborating with the magazine on something really special when the new album came out. I’d had this crazy idea for a video for the song 'Girl Panic!', that looked fantastic on paper, but that I thought in reality would be impossible to pull off. The idea was to re-create a day in the life of the band, with five of the world’s greatest supermodels playing all of us. Lucy [Yeomans, editor of Harper's Bazaar UK] loved the idea of doing a cover shoot within the video itself — and so it all began."

On the cover, the five supers wear black Dolce & Gabbana corsets — designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were also on set for the shoot — and then inside, transform into Duran Duran band members, with Campbell playing lead singer Simon Le Bon.

The "Girl Panic!" video, which was directed by Jonas Ackerlund — who also did Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" and "Telephone" music videos — is expected to be serialized virally online before premiering in whole later this year. See the first, below.

Kate Winslet Talks Divorce and Her "Complicated" New Chapter in Harper's Bazaar UK

Kate Winslet covers Harper's Bazaar UK's November issue and posed for a sultry spread inside the magazine.

Kate Winslet covers Harper's Bazaar UK's November issue and posed for a sultry spread inside the magazine. The actress sported lingerie-inspired looks and a dramatic cat eye for the steamy shoot. Kate, who appears in the glossy to promote the international release of Contagion, also opened up about her personal life in her interview. Kate split from director Sam Mendes last year, and the Emmy-winning star said their separation has been tough, but amicable. She also reflected on the next phase of her life and career and single motherhood in the issue, which hits stands on Thursday, Oct. 6. Here are some highlights:

    • On her split from Sam: “One thing I will say about me and Sam is that it’s fine, it’s really fine. I’m not going to shit-fling, there’s no point in even going there. It is what it is... We’re grown-ups at the end of the day, and however hard it’s been for me, it’s been equally hard for him. And we have a child together who we both love — and raising him together, jointly and without any conflict, is absolutely key. It’s the only way to do it, and I’ve really learnt that with Mia.”
    • On families today: "Those days of every child having a mummy and daddy who lived at home - Daddy went to work, and Mummy stayed at home and took care of everyone — those days have almost gone, and it’s so much more unconventional now.”
    • On what's next for her: "I feel that I’m just at the beginning of a new narrative, and it’s incredibly exciting. It’s complicated, I know, and uncertain — but it’s where life happens, between the cracks. It can be a painful process, but I truly hope that never stops for me.”
