People from all corners of the industry rubbed shoulders at the party — Jenna Lyons posed for a picture with Derek Blasberg, and Hamish Bowles was spotted with Santo Domingo, Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, and Alexander Wang. Patrick Robinson attended with his wife, Vogue's Virginia Smith, and stylist Brad Goreski posed for a quick picture with a Burberry-clad Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Hilary Rhoda, who cohosted Vogue.com's live stream of the event with William Norwich, was among the first people on the scene, wearing a custom dress from Wes Gordon. Anna Wintour was there early too in a custom floral dress by Chanel. She told Norwich she chose the dress because the exhibit's curator, Andrew Bolton, told her, "Pink is the color of punk."

How Fashion's Finest Spent Saturday Night

Is there a better time to throw a party than the weekend before the Met Gala?

Is there a better time to throw a party than the weekend before the Met Gala? With models, designers, stylists, celebrities, and the like landing in New York City just before fashion's biggest party of the year, Moda Operandi, Net-a-Porter, and Dolce & Gabbana scheduled big celebrations.

Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet threw a party at the not-yet-opened restaurant Omar's in Greenwich Village that drew Karolína Kurková, Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing, Prabal Gurung, and Miranda Kerr, among others. Uptown, Giovanna Battaglia was busy hosting the opening of Dolce & Gabbana's Fifth Avenue boutique, which was attended by Constance Jablonski and Harley Viera Newton and featured a performance by singers Ellie Dehn and Matthew Polenzani.

Moda Operandi's party, which celebrated the launch of the retailer's punk-themed collection inspired by this year's Costume Institute exhibit, took the form of a late-night supper that saw a number of people who attended the evening's earlier parties, Gurung and Rousteing included. Dressing For a Cause: The Style Set's Fashionable, Philanthropic Weekend

The industry loves nothing so much as throwing its weight behind a worthy cause, and this weekend, everyone from Diane von Furstenberg and Natalia Vodianova to Kate Moss and Taylor Tomasi Hill got dressed up to support one of three important evenings.

The industry loves nothing so much as throwing its weight behind a worthy cause, and this weekend, everyone from Diane von Furstenberg and Natalia Vodianova to Kate Moss and Taylor Tomasi Hill got dressed up to support one of three important evenings.

Friday night's DVF Awards in New York honored women who strive to change the lives of other women around the world. Vodianova was honored with the Inspiration Award for her work with the Naked Heart Foundation, a charity she founded to help battle poverty in her native Russia.

Saturday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, models including Kate Moss and Izabel Goulart gathered for amfAR's Inspiration Gala. But back in the Big Apple, some of the biggest names in the business brought out their finest black-tie attire to attend the annual Save Venice masked ball, which drew a bevy of industry heavyweights like Prabal Gurung, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Kate Young. A look at all three events, here in the gallery.

Inside the Karl Lagerfeld Edition of Monaco's Annual Rose Ball

Princesses and supermodels alike celebrated Monaco's annual Rose Ball this weekend, helped along by a little creative direction from The Kaiser himself. At the request of Monaco's Princess Caroline, Lagerfeld dreamed up Belle Epoque decor for the event, which celebrated the 150th anniversary of the company that owns many of the casinos in the principality, the Société des Bains de Mer.

That meant an illustrated backdrop featuring a woman in a turn-of-the-20th-century-style dress complete with a corset and a feathered hat, menus with even more of Lagerfeld's drawings, and a costume for singer Rita Ora.

Cara Delevingne — dressed in Chanel Couture — dined with Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II of Monaco, and Lagerfeld had a choice seat next to Princess Caroline. Antoine Arnault also attended the event — along with his girlfriend, Natalia Vodianova — clad in head-to-toe Dior. A look at who else showed up for the party — and what they wore — here in the gallery.

Arizona Muse, Carey Mulligan, Poppy Delevingne, Teresa Missoni, and Waris Ahluwalia were among those who made the trek to Switzerland this past weekend for ASMALLWORLD's third annual Winter Weekend getaway. And though it may have been frosty on the slopes outside the Gstaad Palace Hotel where the weekend's festivities took place, there was plenty on the docket to keep guests toasty.

On Friday evening, the crowd kicked off the fun with a champagne cocktail and diamond hunt. The big winner of the evening was Tali Lennox, who, clad in a two-toned leopard-print minidress, ended up winning the grand prize: a glittering pair of Bucherer diamond hoops. The next day it was off to the lifts, where Jessica Joffe and Lily Kwong showed off their best cold-weather getups (no puffy snowsuits here) while Muse frolicked with son Nikko in the snow before joining the rest of the crew for a fondue feast.

And that wasn't all. Saturday evening's black-tie charity gala hosted by Mulligan had everyone from Harley Viera-Newton to Harvey Weinstein in high spirits — especially when singer Alysha Umphress took to the stage for a surprise performance.

Highlights from the weekend, here in the slideshow.

The Hotel Palace Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro was filled with a gorgeous crowd ready to fete 2013's Pirelli Calendar.

Actors Owen Wilson, Stephen Dorff, and Sophia Loren joined this year's photographer Steve McCurry and calendar girls Liya Kebede, Petra Nemcova, Elisa Sednaoui, and Hanaa Ben Abdesslem to celebrate the calendar's launch with a press conference and gala. At the gala, acrobats hung from the ceiling and did gymnastic stunts above the dining tables. After noting that journalists at the event asked lots of questions about the environment and foreign politics, Summer Rayne Oakes characterized the blue and white lighting scheme as "trippy."

Petra Nemcova said the real sparkle came from the other women in the calendar, like Isabeli Fontana and Kyleigh Kuhn. "They bring the light to so many lives!" Nemcova said.

A look at the unveiling of the calendar here in the gallery.
