Matt Damon and his family touched down at LAX today. The actor held on to his 2-year-old daughter, Stella, while his wife, Luciana, walked with their older girls, Gia, Isabella, and Alexia. Matt and his girls are back on the West Coast after a busy month promoting his latest film, Promised Land, around NYC. He hit the red carpet to premiere the movie alongside his costar and cowriter John Krasinski, and spoke about the controversy surrounding the environmental film. One of Matt's most famous projects, Good Will Hunting, celebrated its 15th anniversary today. Matt and his best friend, Ben Affleck, sat down with Boston magazine recently to reflect on the making of the film, including what it was like to win an Oscar for best original screenplay.

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana touched down at NYC's JFK Airport last night with their four daughters. The oldest, Alexia, kept close to Isabella, while Matt carried Gia, and Luciana held Stella. The gang's back in the Big Apple after work brought Matt east earlier this month. Matt and Luciana premiered Promised Land alongside Matt's costar and cowriter John Krasinski. The film opens in limited release later this month on Dec. 28.

Matt's heading into the holidays with his five leading ladies. As part of his press tour for Promised Land, Matt spoke to Playboy about both his career and his family. He only had sweet things to say about his life as a husband and father. Matt told the magazine, "When I turned 40, I had my whole family and some friends together. I realized I had to make a toast and hadn’t thought of anything to say. I stood up, and what came to me seemed incredibly true in the moment and even more so as time has gone by. I said, 'I think I might actually be the luckiest guy on earth. I really might be him.'"

Their oldest, Alexia, didn't take the flight, but she did log time with her parents on Tuesday night. Alexia hung out with Matt and Luciana at the afterparty following his Big Apple Promised Land premiere.

Matt's stay in NYC was centered around doing press for Promised Land ahead of its Dec. 28 release. He also visited the Late Show With David Letterman, where he not only brought back his Matthew McConaughey impression, but also shared about life with Luciana and their kids. Matt spoke about tough times at night when there are "five human beings in a bed," and how sleep-deprived he is when the youngest pile in to sleep with mom and dad. Matt said, "It's a lovely thought — in practice."

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana braved the impending Hurricane Sandy to take their daughters Isabella and Gia out trick-or-treating in NYC last night. Isabella and Gia wore princess costumes and held onto their candy as they walked the streets with a group of friends. Matt prepped for Halloween himself last week with a costumed appearance on The Colbert Report alongside Tom Hanks.

Matt and his family are back together on the East Coast after Matt made a trip to LA last week. Matt and Ben Affleck got together for a business meeting when Ben wasn't busy spending time with his kids.

Matt may be hanging out on the East Coast, but he's creating buzz in Hollywood with his latest project. It's been over a decade since Matt teamed up with his Good Will Hunting director, Gus Van Sant, but the two are giving it another shot in the first Promised Land trailer. John Krasinski collaborated with Damon on the script and also stars with him in the drama. You'll have to wait until 2013 to see Matt and John share the big screen when the film opens nationwide Jan. 11.

Matt Damon was in '70s costume to shoot Behind the Candelabra, a biopic about the late singer Liberace, played by Michael Douglas, directed by Steven Soderbergh. Matt and Steven are frequent collaborators, having worked on the Ocean's series and last year's Contagion. Behind the Candelabra is scheduled to air next year at some point on HBO. While on the West Coast, Matt and his girls caught up with their pals the Afflecks. Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, and their three kids visited Matt and Luciana's house last weekend for a pool party.

Matt Damon rolled up his jeans for a walk by the water with Isabella in LA yesterday. The daddy-daughter duo strolled in the sand before Matt headed to the Staples Center to cheer on the Boston Celtics in their win against the Lakers. He had the weekend off from filming We Bought a Zoo, which has kept him busy since production started earlier this month. Matt's also used his time on the West Coast to participate in award season, mingling at the Golden Globes and being honored at the Critics' Choice. He skipped last night's SAGs, though he may pop up at next month's Oscars to support True Grit's nomination for best picture.
