A new Old Spice commercial just debuted, and it features lots of abs, a very manly beard, a kraken, and plenty of gold coins. But is it more than a faint echo of Isaiah Mustafa's world-changing, solar flare-inducing hotness? Well, men in uniform are always extra attractive, and only cave-dwelling hermits don't like pound upon pound of gold bullion. But then again, the kraken has suffered enough abuse, and she/he/it clearly just needs a little love, not punches in the face. If the next commercial shows him apologizing to the squid, maybe I can get behind this new dude. Otherwise, no dice.

Mila Enjoys a Russell and Ian Sandwich at Cosmopolitan's Fun Fearless Male Event
Mila Kunis was the lone female on the patterned carpet last night at Cosmopolitan's Fun Fearless Male event in NYC last night. She was the only woman to get an award during the guy-centric event, saying, "This is going to be very exciting. I'm looking forward to it." She traded her Oscars glamour for something more masculine, turning out in an all-white pantsuit that Russell joked made her look "like Tom Hanks in Big." Her Forgetting Sarah Marshall costar Russell was the man accepting the night's biggest honor from the magazine, and he sent a special tweet to his wife, Katy Perry, saying he did his makeup in her honor. Katy couldn't attend the event since she's off touring Europe, but she and Russell were able to meet up last week in LA. The Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder was another of the hotties who turned out for the bash, along with Penn Badgley and Isaiah Mustafa.
Our Fake Boyfriend, the Old Spice Guy, Is Back
You can't keep a good (shirtless, dreamy, funny) man down. Professional hunk Isaiah Mustafa is back on behalf of Old Spice, and we're almost embarrassingly excited to see his forthcoming commercials for scents inspired by locales such as Komodo and Fiji. Congratulations, Wieden+Kennedy ad team. By bringing Isaiah back, you've succeeded in making us actually like advertising. Here's a teaser.
Old Spice Guy Returns Shirtless, Hotter Than Ever
Did it just get hot in here? Much to the pleasure of women everywhere, the Old Spice Guy (aka Isaiah Mustafa) and his shirtless abs have returned to YouTube.
Adding on to what could have been the most successful viral campaign ever, Old Spice will soon be releasing a series of educational ads starring Mustafa that will also "carry an entertainment value that is second to none." I can't wait. Check out the introduction video (you're going to want to see this) after the break.
Which Hot Guy Do You Want to See More of in 2011?
Last year was full of our favorite sexy guys, but we're always keeping our eyes open for tomorrow's big heartthrobs. Emma Stone and Darren Cris were your picks for rising star of 2010, and now it's time to focus on a few more fresh faces. Who knows, perhaps one of these dudes is the next Robert Pattinson. Check out the list of guys below and tell us — which hot guy do you want to see more of in 2011?

This Is the Muppet Your Man Could Smell Like
Grover from Sesame Street has been one of my favorite characters ever since I was a preschooler reading The Monster at the End of This Book. That's why I can't help but love this new parody of Isaiah Mustafa's hilarious (and hot like the sun) Old Spice ads. The short is ostensibly designed to teach small children about the word "on," but it seems a lot more likely to soften the hearts of former Big Bird aficionados everywhere. Check it out and let your case of the Mondays melt away for a minute:
Hunky Old Spice Guy Gets Cinderella Ending, Wins Emmy
Remember the amazing social media campaign that was organized about a month ago by men's deodorant brand, Old Spice, which had everyone — including celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Ashton Kutcher — excited over? The company assembled a team of people to produce a video every seven minutes over the span of a few days to respond to questions posed by social media networks. Sales for the firm shot through the roof, and the commercial campaign even won an Emmy over the weekend.
One of the key reasons why the YouTube videos were such a success was because hunky actor, Isaiah Mustafa, nailed the manly, goofy character to a tee. It seems that Isaiah only started smelling success in his life recently, according to Forbes. He was originally an athlete that didn't quite make it big in the NFL. He then used up all his savings to start a restaurant that closed in five months. Broke, but not discouraged, he signed up for the gameshow The Weakest Link and won $47,000. He took that money and invested it in acting school, which paid off and landed him the Old Spice Guy part a few years later. Now he's said to play a part in an upcoming Jennifer Aniston movie and has scored other TV roles.
I know Isaiah's story might seem unrealistic to most, but we can all learn from it. For example, if you find yourself without a job, think of creative ways to reach out to companies. And if you meet with a disappointment, pick yourself up and try again.
