Britney Spears enjoyed a casual afternoon in LA today with her boys Jason Trawick, Sean Preston, and Jayden James. The foursome grabbed lunch at Claim Jumper before piling into her white Mercedes SUV — with multiple bodyguards — and headed off to their next destination.

Britney's been quiet on her social-media accounts in recent days while new rumors are swirling that she could be out from The X Factor. New reports suggest Britney will be fired from The X Factor for multiple reasons, mainly her $15 million contract. Ratings fell short in the show's second season, despite the addition of new judges Britney and Demi Lovato. Thus far, however, there has been no word from Britney, the show, or Simon Cowell confirming her departure. Still, the pop princess's return to TV was just one of the reasons Britney ruled 2012, and we can't wait to see what the next 12 months have in store.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick took Sean Preston and Jayden James to the California Music Academy in LA on Saturday. The foursome spent the weekend together during a break from Britney's busy schedule. She's been working on X Factor, but with only four contestants left, the season is winding down, and Fox has yet to confirm that she'll return for another season. Britney also recently released her new track with will.i.am, "Scream & Shout," and the accompanying video and celebrated her 31st birthday. Britney Spears wore a backless Halston Heritage dress last night to join her fiancé, Jason Trawick, at a special event in LA. Jason and Britney teamed up for the City of Hope charity's gala to honor Halston CEO Ben Malka with their Spirit of Life Award at Exchange LA. The evening featured performances from Miley Cyrus and The Pointer Sisters. • Britney on her style: "I love my jeans and my sweats — I'm really just a tomboy at heart. So it's really hard for me to be like Kim Kardashian and be makeup- and hair-ready every time I go out of my house. I'm not a believer in that, you know? On the other hand, when you do wear those sweats, you're like, 'Oh God, I should step it up a notch.'"
• Jason on how he and Britney got together: "It was kind of one of those things where she moved, like, turned around, so we were face-to-face, and then . . . "
• Britney adds: "Okay, that's enough information, sweetie. It was sweet, just say that."

Demi Lovato and Britney Spears, escorted by Britney's fiancé, Jason Trawick, made their way out of a Miami hotel earlier today. Britney, Demi, and their fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell and LA Reid arrived in Florida earlier this week for the final leg of live auditions. The foursome are putting the contestants through a rigorous boot camp before narrowing the field down to just 32 finalists.

Apparently Simon Cowell wants the season-two hopefuls to relax during their stay and upgraded all of them to rooms at South Beach's Mondrian hotel. The entire judging panel teleconferenced into Fox's TCA presentation on Monday, where Simon revealed "Britney's as sweet as a lemon" and Spears confessed she's not holding back and said, "In everyday life I'm just an honest person." Britney brought a pop of color in bright pink Joe's jeans, which she paired with a low-cut white blazer. She and Jason have been in Florida all week while Britney takes care of her judging duties during X Factor boot camp with Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and LA Reid. Demi arrived in the sunny locale immediately after hosting Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, where she picked up two surfboards. Britney took the opportunity to congratulate her on Twitter, adding, "Let's celebrate when you get to Miami."

Britney Spears wasn't dressed for a day at the beach when she arrived at Miami's The X Factor auditions today. Instead, Britney stepped out of her SUV wearing a black leather jacket with fiancé Jason Trawick. Florida is playing host to Britney and her fellow judges, Demi Lovato, LA Reid, and Simon Cowell, as well as the hopefuls vying for a spot in this year's competition. The show's already made stops in Missouri, Rhode Island, Texas, and California. The final round of auditions is winding down, and soon the show will return to Hollywood ahead of the Sept. 12 premiere.
