Stars Risk Getting Slimed at the Kids' Choice Awards!

The stars went from the orange carpet at Saturday's Kids' Choice Awards in LA into the show, where host Kevin James kept things under control amid multiple slimings.

The stars went from the orange carpet at Saturday's Kids' Choice Awards in LA into the show, where host Kevin James kept things under control amid multiple slimings. Katy Perry had the honor of being doused in the green goo when she was onstage with Jonah Hill, and Date Night stars Tina Fey and Steve Carell faced a similar fate. Zoe Saldana and Robert Downey Jr. stayed dry while announcing Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel as the winner of Favorite Movie, and Miley Cyrus was there to take home the Favorite Movie Actress blimp.

Taylor Lautner was a happy camper backstage after he won Favorite Movie Actor and shared the Cutest Couple honor with Kristen Stewart for New Moon — sadly, she couldn't be there since she was off with her costars in The Runaways in Las Vegas. The third in their on-screen love triangle, Robert Pattinson, also missed out due to his being in England with friends. Justin Bieber was there to up the teen heartthrob count, performing a song off his newly-released album. Selena Gomez was so happy to be declared Favorite TV Actress, and Cory Monteith joined his Glee costar Lea Michele to present the TV Actor award to Dylan Sprouse — make sure to check out the whole list of honorees over at Buzz!

Shia LaBeouf joined a few other celebrities at The Wonder of Reading's Explore-a-Story: A Celebration of Books event in LA on Sunday. After posing on the red carpet in his favorite t-shirt, Shia took the stage to share a story with the kids. A shave would have gone a long way for his look, but we'll give him a break so long as he cleans up a bit before showing his face everywhere to promote Transformers 2.

Much Ado About NKOTB, Rihanna, and Music Video Awards

The weather was rainy in Toronto last night, but that didn't stop the stars from shining at the MuchMusic Video Awards — check out the winners here.

The weather was rainy in Toronto last night, but that didn't stop the stars from shining at the MuchMusic Video Awards — check out the winners here. Whitney Port, Brody Jenner, and Kristin Cavallari all left their home in The Hills long enough to check out the show and pose with Chace Crawford and The Spice Girls' Mel C. Rihanna performed in another of her crazy black costumes and she had two shiny trophies to add to her ensemble by the end of the night. The New Kids on the Block took the stage for a solid nine minutes in their matching white suits, undoubtedly feeling the love from their audience of nostalgic, screaming fans.

What to Download: New Music on iTunes

Tuesdays are big in entertainment-ville: Not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores, including iTunes.

Tuesdays are big in entertainment-ville: Not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores, including iTunes. So I take a spin through each week's iTunes music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download. Here are today's selections:

The story teller: Here's an interesting fact about singer-songwriter Mason Jennings: he recorded two Bob Dylan songs for the movie I'm Not There that were lip-synched by Christian Bale. He's known for simple lyrics and down home pop-folk melodies and if you ever wondered what smooshing Beck's voice with Ryan Adams melodies would be like, well I think this is what you'd get. His new album is palatable for a broad audience. My favorite tracks include Going Back to New Orleans and I Love You and Budda Too.

The Hills are alive with these guys' music: Odds are, when Heidi is making sad-eyes out of an airplane window or LC and Lo are staring blankly at each other after Audrina leaves the room, a Carolina Liar song is playing. This kind of poppy rock isn't usually my cup of tea, but songs like Beautiful World (featured on The Hills) off of their new album are alright. Many of you enjoyed their track I'm Not Over, which can currently be heard in the Ashton Kutcher-Cameron Diaz comedy What Happens in Vegas.

Alec and Tina Go Gotham

Tina Fey really went all out with the sexy, while Alec Baldwin kept it a little more casual at last night's Gotham Magazine Gala in NYC.

Tina Fey really went all out with the sexy, while Alec Baldwin kept it a little more casual at last night's Gotham Magazine Gala in NYC. The dynamic duo share the cover of the glossy this month, and inside the pages Tina Fey talks about not being all hot. Think again, Vixen. Anyway, now that the writers' strike is officially over, I for one can't wait to come running back to TV for new episodes of 30 Rock. Seriously, if you're not watching this show you definitely should. Maybe reading some of their funny interview will help convince you. Here are highlights:

  • Tina on the future of 30 Rock: I think Alec being on the show bought us a lot of time. He’s such a brilliant actor and he’s not someone you get to see for free on TV. I think he absolutely bought us the whole first year. But I think that people who see the show really do like it; it’s just a question of getting people to try it out. We have the label of a “low-rated” or “poorly rated” show, but we’re doing better this year. And it’s weird, because on the same day I’ll see us referred to as “the low-rated 30 Rock” in the paper, and then I’ll read “the hit show Gossip Girl.” We rate higher than Gossip Girl, but there’s a different expectation [when a show is] on NBC as opposed to the CW.
Gotham: Have you seen Gossip Girl?
TF: No, but the children on it are very beautiful.
  • Tina's resolutions for 2008: Maybe an attempt at a less vulgar life. Less cursing, less bile. I sort of got into trouble last year — I went on Howard Stern and ran my mouth a little bit about Paris Hilton. [Fey called Hilton a “piece of s—-” and said she “looks like a tranny,” among other things.] Not only was that not the right way for a 37-year-old woman to behave, but I went to my gynecologist for my yearly checkup shortly thereafter and she was like, “I read that thing [you said about Paris Hilton] in the paper. That was very hostile. Are you all right?” And I was like, You know what? You’re right. That was very hostile. What business is it of mine? So, starting there: being less vulgar and more . . . kind isn’t the right word for it. Perhaps more “Christian” in my dealings with people. Yeah, less vulgar. More Christian.

Rachel Bilson

Rachel and Hayden Heat Things Up in NYC

Last night co-stars and lovers Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson premiered their new movie Jumper in NYC.

Last night co-stars and lovers Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson premiered their new movie Jumper in NYC. Rachel began her morning requesting to "jump" back into bed so hopefully she got a nap in before the big event. She sure looks well rested and glows in her one shoulder gold dress, which must have been hard to stay warm in. Luckily she had Anakin Skywalker there to keep her warm. The film reunites the Star Wars actors but according to Samuel L Jackson he gets his revenge this time around. As for Rachel, she's adorable as ever and admits she's been "lucky in the leading man area" so she can't complain. Did we ever mention we love Rachel Bilson?

J Lo Pregnancy Denials Begin... Again

J Lo's people quickly denied a statement that Jesse McCartney made in a radio interview saying J Lo dropped out of Dallas because she's pregnant.

J Lo's people quickly denied a statement that Jesse McCartney made in a radio interview saying J Lo dropped out of Dallas because she's pregnant. Jesse has now issued an apology. This was a genius move on Jesse's part. His new album hits stores in September. Did anyone know this before he started talking about J Lo? US Weekly reports:

“She is 100% not pregnant,” J. Lo’s rep tells Us Weekly.

A source close to Jennifer adds: “Jesse McCartney doesn’t even know Jennifer. His girlfriend has never even met Jennifer. She just got cast in the movie after Jennifer was already out. Jennifer is shooting the cover of a high fashion magazine. Do you think she could wear couture if she was pregnant?”

Jesse McCartney released a statement Friday apologizing for announcing that Jennifer Lopez is pregnant on an Atlanta radio station.

“I have no firsthand knowledge whether Jennifer Lopez is pregnant or not,” McCartney said in the statement. “I thought I had read it somewhere. I apologize.”
