Celebrity Moms Swear By Amber Teething Necklaces; Do You?

Parents of fussy teethers will try just about anything to ease their babies' pain as those first teeth make their entrance.

Parents of fussy teethers will try just about anything to ease their babies' pain as those first teeth make their entrance. While there are tons of great teething toys on the market, they don't always do the trick. Amber teething necklaces are a new(ish) trend embraced by celeb moms who prefer a natural approach, like Rachel Zoe and Jewel. Jewel even cited an amber necklace as one of her must haves for baby Kase. "It really helps cut down on his pain," she told us back in November.

Amber is a fossilized resin derived from prehistoric trees. In nature, it serves as a natural antibiotic, and when it comes in contact with a baby's warm skin, healing oils and resins are released and absorbed. The amber beads are said to reduce inflammation, soothe baby, and relieve pain.

Have you tried putting an amber necklace on your baby? We've rounded up five strands of beads that just may do the trick if you've been in search of a way to soothe your teething tot.

Country stars from all over the US got together in Las Vegas last night for the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Country stars from all over the US got together in Las Vegas last night for the Academy of Country Music Awards. Taylor Swift looked stunning in a gold Dolce & Gabbana gown as she worked her stuff on the red carpet alongside stars like Sheryl Crow and Keith Urban. Carrie Underwood made a big statement in a red Naeem Khan frock, while Faith Hill went for a simple black number to pose in front of photographers with husband Tim McGraw. Inside the event, Taylor got giddy when she got a chance to meet Shania Twain and John Mayer sang with Brad Paisley in one of his first live performances since he has battled vocal cord problems.

Big winners at the ACM Awards included Miranda Lambert, who nabbed awards for female vocalist of the year, single record of the year, and song of the year with husband Blake Shelton. Miranda broke down in tears during her acceptance speeches, saying that she was "rooting for Carrie Underwood" for the female vocalist award. Other winners included Little Big Town and Luke Bryan, who won entertainer of the year and also cohosted the event with Blake.

Music Stars Have a Fun Night at the American Country Awards

Country stars were joined by their Hollywood friends last night for the third annual American Country Awards in Las Vegas.

Country stars were joined by their Hollywood friends last night for the third annual American Country Awards in Las Vegas. Hosts Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins, who hosted last year's event too, made a hilarious entrance when they walked on stage with Trace carrying tiny Kristin in a pink baby sling. Kristin made multiple costume changes throughout the night, even changing into a sexy Santa costume to celebrate the Christmas season.

Big winners for the night included Miranda Lambert, who took home a single of the year award and a music video of the year award, and Carrie Underwood, who won the single of the year and female artist of the year prizes. This has been a busy month for Carrie, who we last saw at the taping of CMT's Artist of the Year celebration.

Jewel Says She "Scored" With Her Happy Baby

Best known for hits like "You Were Meant For Me" and "Foolish Games," singer-songwriter Jewel has put her music career on the back burner while she focuses on her 15-month-old son, Kase.

Best known for hits like "You Were Meant For Me" and "Foolish Games," singer-songwriter Jewel has put her music career on the back burner while she focuses on her 15-month-old son, Kase. While pregnant, Jewel put her creative talents to work, penning a sweet children's book, That's What I'd Do, dedicated to her baby boy. We caught up with the talented mama and talked about what motherhood means to her, parenting must haves, and more.

LilSugar: Tell me about your little boy, Kase.
Jewel: He's almost 16 months and he's such a happy baby. I scored! I prayed for a happy baby and I got one. He's really mellow and tenacious.

LS: Sounds like you're doing something right! Do you have any advice for new moms and moms-to-be?
J: I read that moms who suffer the most are the perfectionists, and that's totally me — I'm so type A. But having a baby isn't something you control. It's all about redefining what success means to you. Motherhood isn't about checking things off of a list. It's about doing your best.

LS: What's your favorite time of day with Kase?
J: The morning for sure. He's just so sweet and snuggly. We read books; we sing; he brushes his teeth.

LS: What's he up to these days?
J: So much! He's walking, talking . . . He knows a lot of the alphabet. We've taught him sign language, and he really enjoys that. He likes to play soccer; he'll kick his ball around.

Jewel and Selma Blair, who are both expecting their first babies this Spring, walked the red carpet in floor-length dresses that hid their growing bellies beneath their flowing fabric. While Jewel's one-shoulder gown drew the eye to her toned chest and arms, Selma's low-cut bodice drew attention to her décolleté.
