Tom Cruise gave a wave as he arrived at Jimmy Kimmel Live! in LA last night. The actor stopped to chat with Jimmy about his new sci-fi movie, Oblivion, which is out in the US next Friday, April 19. Tom spoke with Jimmy about the exhausting but fun press tour for the movie that's taken him around the world, including a stop in the land of his ancestors, Ireland. Tom was honored in Dublin with a certificate commemorating his Irish heritage, and genealogical researchers shared some good news. As Tom told Jimmy, "They traced my family back to the ninth century in Ireland. I had no idea it went back that far! . . . I found out my ancestors were the rulers of North Ireland . . . you can't make this up — they owned a town called Hollywood."
It's been a busy week for Tom. On Wednesday, he attended the LA premiere of Oblivion, and on the red carpet, he told us about his unending passion for acting and how his love for performing means he probably won't ever direct.
Our excitement for the return of Arrested Development is heating up (did you check out all the new posters?), and we're excited to hear anything about the Netflix season. But if you're still a little unclear about how it's going to work, series star Jason Bateman has your back. Watch him explain to Jimmy Kimmel how the episodes go together, how you should watch them, and where the movie will pick up.
Fashion Star mentor Nicole Richie was on last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live! to chat about her life and work. She spoke with host Jimmy about her husband, Joel Madden, and how their relationship has inspired more than a few of Joel's songs. Apparently, while some are flattering, not all are. Hear Nicole tell the tale below.

You can't help but love the way Jessica Simpson laughs at herself. While visiting Jimmy Kimmel last night, Jessica Simpson told the host that it feels like déjà vu getting pregnant with her second child so quickly after he daughter, Maxwell, 10 months old, was born. In addition to accidentally revealing that she's expecting a baby boy, she opened up to the host about future plans for expanding her family, marriage plans, and how her father, who is a minister, reacted to her pregnancies that she's had out of wedlock.
Jessica Simpson revealed that she is expecting a baby boy during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. She let it slip while talking about how her current pregnancy is much worse than her first one with baby Maxwell. Jessica explained, "I've been vomiting. The crazy thing is I never knew that a wiener could make me nauseous." She soon realized that she just revealed her baby's gender but laughed it off. "Well, I guess I just told the whole world that I'm having a boy!" Jessica also hinted that she will probably name her baby Ace, after a previous report came out last month about the potential baby name. She said, "Well, let's hope it's a boy!"
After confirming the big news, Jessica left the show with her team while wearing a furry coat. She joked about her surprise news on Twitter, calling it an "accidental announcement."
Jimmy Kimmel's post-Oscars skits are now one of my favorite things about Oscar night, and this year was just as fun. Kimmel showcased a ton of stars in the "trailer" for Movie: The Movie: 2V, the sequel to the first Movie: The Movie, of course. This time, he showcased the likes of Bradley Cooper, Matt Damon, Rachel Weisz, Jessica Chastain, and John Krasinski in this year's skit.
Watch and let us know who you think is the funniest after the jump.
Rachel Weisz opened up about her true feelings on Valentine's Day during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday. She admitted that while she wasn't spending the official holiday with husband Daniel Craig, she doesn't care too much for the day of love. She said, "It's, you know, a Hallmark holiday . . . I'm not big on it," noting that she thinks that couples should show their love "throughout the year." Rachel is currently in LA promoting Oz the Great and Powerful, which hits theaters on March 8.
