Katherine Heigl smiled big Saturday when she arrived at a friend's house in LA with her husband Josh Kelley. Also along for the outing with Katherine was the couple's newly adopted daughter. Katherine Heigl adopted a second baby with her husband Josh, making their 3-year-old daughter Naleigh Kelly a big sister.

Yesterday marked Katherine's first Mother's Day as a mom of two. Josh was on top of organizing the celebrating. He tweeted in the a.m., "Happy mother's day! What 'cha got planned for today? Hope you dudes out there take care of your ladies. No skimping." Josh cooked Katherine breakfast as well, and shared a picture of his labors on Twitter. After the meal, Josh and Katherine, who wore knee-high boots and a dress, swung by her parents' home for a big family bash.

Katherine Heigl has adopted again! The actress and her musician husband, Josh Kelley, recently adopted a second child, a daughter. Her rep confirmed the news today, saying, "Yes they have adopted a baby. No further details [are available] at this time."

The new arrival makes Josh and Katherine's older daughter, 3-year-old Naleigh, a big sister. Katherine and Josh married in December of 2007 after getting together on the set of one of his music videos in 2005. Congrats to the happy and growing family!

Katherine's been pinning things left and right, and Tuesday night, Josh shared a photo of a skirt she made for their daughter, Naleigh.

Katherine hasn't limited her projects to sewing. She recently tweeted a photo of a DIY project that required lots of spray paint and old picture frames. Her next film, The Wedding, is scheduled for a Fall release, so Katherine has a few more months of arts and crafts before duty calls her back before the cameras.

Josh has been making the promotional rounds lately to support his new country-tinged album Georgia Clay, and he had his guitar in hand as the family made their way across the tarmac together. Katherine has been taking a bit of a break from work since filming New Year's Eve late last year, but will be back on set shortly as she begins filming opposite Robert De Niro, Amanda Seyfried, and Topher Grace in Gently Down the Stream, a family comedy about a divorced couple who pretends to be married for the sake of their newly engaged son. She's also signed on for a role on the small screen in HBO's upcoming The Knitting Circle, but for the moment has been enjoying lots of outings with Naleigh, as well as her mother, Nancy.

Country music's biggest stars hit the red carpet in Las Vegas last night for the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards. Taylor Swift was one of the night's performers and winners, taking home the Entertainer of the Year award to close out the evening — see who took home all the top honors. Rihanna transformed her "California King Bed" into a duet with the help of Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, and Ryan Seacrest cozied up with girlfriend Julianne Hough backstage. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were seated next to Carrie Underwood to watch the entertaining show, which had everyone from Steven Tyler to Celine Dion wow the crowd. Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon came straight from their Water For Elephants press junket in LA and shared their sweet chemistry as they presented Miranda Lambert with one of her many statues. Gwyneth's Country Strong costar Leighton Meester mixed things up in Emilio Pucci and Taylor Swift went with a bold red Monique Lhuillier. W cover girl Katherine Heigl, who was there to support her brother-in-law Lady Antebellum lead singer Charles Kelley, showed up in a bright blue strapless Farah Angsana number and was just one of the gorgeous girls with a flawless face.

Carrie opened the show with a musical number alongside Brad Paisley, who was named Entertainer of the Year, before changing into an array of gorgeous looks throughout the night. Nicole Kidman watched from the audience in white Dolce & Gabbana as her husband Keith Urban took the stage while Katherine and Josh Kelley cheered on Lady Antebellum as they accepted two statues. Gwyneth geared up for her big night with a pint of beer, and her much-anticipated live performance didn't disappoint — what did you think? She was game for a little teasing by Carrie and Brad, who asked if she could score them Coldplay tickets, though Chris Martin wasn't there to watch his wife's musical number. Taylor Swift didn't continue her winning streak, but she did take the stage to perform "Back to December" — congrats to everyone honored during country's big evening!
