Don Jon Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Loves Scarlett Johansson — and Also Porn
Actor and all-around adorable person Joseph Gordon-Levitt is making his directorial debut with Don Jon (formerly titled Don Jon's Addiction), in which he stars as a guy with old-fashioned values — mostly. He prioritizes his family, his friends, his faith, but most of all his porn. When the normally womanizing Jon falls for hopeless romantic Barbara (Scarlett Johansson), he thinks he can juggle her and his secret addiction. Then she walks in on him in front of the computer, and he's not checking his email.
I know this doesn't sound like a traditionally romantic film, but the trailer is so damn charming! The movie seems quirky yet painfully honest, and how can you resist seeing Gordon-Levitt singing "Good Vibrations" to himself in the car? His cute personal message at the beginning about how important this film is to him doesn't hurt, either. The movie comes out on Oct. 18, and you can check out the trailer after the jump.

Met Gala Beauty: Julianne Moore's Voluminous Ponytail

In her own twist on a mohawk, Julianne Moore opted for a ponytail with a bouffant. Slicked on the sides and high in the front, the style helped her stand out. A smoldering smoky eye added to the punk vibe.

Alexander Skarsgard Plays Dad For the Night Alongside Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore and Alexander Skarsgard looked like one happy family when they premiered their new film, What Maisie Knew, in NYC last night alongside their young costar Onata Aprile. In the film, which is based on the novel by Henry James, Julianne and Alexander play husband and wife, but their relationship quickly goes sour as Julianne's rock-chick character begins to pawn off her daughter on Alexander and her ex-husband's new wife. Small-screen stars like Girls' Zosia Mamet and Game of Thrones' Natalie Dormer and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau also dropped by the screening to show support for their fellow HBO star Alexander.
What Maisie Knew isn't the only project that Julianne has been busy promoting. She premiered her new film The English Teacher at the Tribeca Film Festival in April — check out our interview with Julianne Moore and her costar Michael Angarano from the festival!
Tribeca Video Review: The English Teacher
Julianne Moore plays a teacher who starts a relationship with an ex-student-turned-playwright (Michael Angarano) in The English Teacher. Julianne Moore Dishes on Her High School Drama Years
Julianne Moore and Michael Angarano costar in quirky comedy The English Teacher, which made its debut at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. I sat down with them both to talk about their favorite books during their own teenage years and Moore's very sophisticated high school drama experience.
Chloë, Salma, and Julianne Take to the Cancun Film Fest in Style
The common denominator in the first batch of looks from the Cancun Film Festival? Easy, breezy, Summer-inclined dressing — courtesy of Salma Hayek, Julianne Moore, and Chloë Moretz. The actresses stepped out to promote their respective films, giving us three takes on cocktail wear. Salma arrived at the Grown Ups 2 press junket in a terracotta-hued, ladylike Gucci number that she dressed up with turquoise earrings by Bavna and a pair of studded platform heels. Meanwhile, at the Carrie photocall, costars Julianne and Chloë posed in two different plays on daytime chic. Julianne took the LWD route in a lace-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana dress but added a little edge via contrasting black strappy Tabitha Simmons heels. Chloë opted for a sweet (and age-appropriate) printed fit-and-flare sundress by Marni, which she finished off with a pair of nude T-strap Christian Louboutin pumps. That's the rundown on who wore what, and now comes the hard part — who gets your vote for best dressed?
