Magic Magic Trailer: Michael Cera Is a Creepy Psychopath

If you're attached to Michael Cera playing a lovable goofball on Arrested Development, you're in for a big shock from the trailer for psychological thriller Magic Magic.

If you're attached to Michael Cera playing a lovable goofball on Arrested Development, you're in for a big shock from the trailer for psychological thriller Magic Magic. The film stars Juno Temple as Alicia, a young American visiting her cousin Sarah (Emily Browning) abroad in Chile. When her cousin leaves, Alicia is left with Sarah's sadistic friends (Cera and Agustín Silva). At first, they just do moderately creepy stuff, like hunting for birds, but then they hypnotize her and order her to put her face in the fire. Not cool, Cera, not cool.

Magic Magic debuted at Sundance this year and played at Cannes, but it's going straight to DVD on Aug. 6, which isn't usually a good sign. I'm actually really curious about Cera's performance here, and the premise seems pretty scary to me, even if some of it is a bit over-the-top. Check out the trailer after the jump.

Red-Banded: Celebrities Bring Back the Headband Trend

Headbands hit a fever pitch a few years back before slowly burning out.

Headbands hit a fever pitch a few years back before slowly burning out. But a new crop of celebrities has been giving us a handful of reasons to take a second look at the trend. Ashley Tisdale added some sophistication to her ponytail with a sleek black ribbon, while Gemma Arterton walked the red carpet for her movie Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters sporting a gilded version. Also, Juno Temple took Sundance by storm with a black embellished headband that popped against her fiery hair color. Who do you think is making the best case for the trend?

The Three Musketeers Trailer: Explosions, Sword Fighting, and Orlando Bloom's Mustache

Between the fiery explosions and slow-motion fight scenes, it's obvious that director Paul W.S.

Between the fiery explosions and slow-motion fight scenes, it's obvious that director Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil) is trying to give his new version of The Three Musketeers a modern action film feel. Oh, and it's in 3D, naturally.

Logan Lerman stars as D'Artagnan from the classic story, a young man who teams up with the Musketeers (Matthew Macfadyen, Luke Evans, and Ray Stevenson) to save France and prevent Europe from going to war. The supporting cast includes familiar faces like Milla Jovovich, Orlando Bloom in an impressive mustache and pompadour, and up-and-comer Juno Temple. While the trailer looks relatively exciting, I do feel like the special effects have turned this into a run-of-the-mill action flick, whereas I'm more interested in the actual story. The film hits theaters on Oct. 14, but let me know if you're digging the preview after the jump.

Dark Knight Rises Scoop: Details on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Role, Juno Temple May Join!

It's official: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is on board for The Dark Knight Rises!

It's official: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is on board for The Dark Knight Rises! Rumors of the actor's involvement have been circling for some time, so the news shouldn't come as a huge surprise; however, we finally have word on what part he'll play. Even though JGL won't be stepping in as the Riddler like many of us had hoped, he will take on the character of Alberto Falcone, aka "The Holiday Killer," a serial killer and son of Carmine Falcone (Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins).

Gordon-Levitt is just the latest Hollywood star to sign on for the anticipated film. To recap: JGL's fellow Inception actor Tom Hardy is locked in for bad guy Bane. Marion Cotillard has been mentioned as a potential Batman love interest, and Anne Hathaway will play the woman who eventually becomes Catwoman. But the casting isn't over just yet, as Christopher Nolan may be adding another female to his list with Juno Temple. The hot up-and-comer's name is being tossed around as a "street-smart" Gotham girl, though that's all we know at the moment.

Does this latest bit of news get you excited for the film? I can't wait to see JGL transform into a sinister villain!

Kate Bosworth Pulls Happy Double Duty With Demi and Little Birds at Sundance

Kate Bosworth made her Sundance debut with not one but two movie premieres yesterday to cap off a very star-studded weekend.

Kate Bosworth made her Sundance debut with not one but two movie premieres yesterday to cap off a very star-studded weekend. The actress says she's never been to the festival before but was eager to brave the cold to show off her pair of projects. First up was Another Happy Day, in which she costars with Demi Moore and Ellen Barkin. Kate sported a daring backless Chloe dress and looked excited to reunite with Demi, Ellen, and the rest of the cast on their red carpet, and later Kate gushed about the experience of working with the strong, powerful "forces of nature" whom she looks up to. In the evening, Kate covered up her sexy frock with a Burberry coat for the Little Birds screening, where the red carpet was slightly more open to the elements. Kate only has a small role in the film, though she was thrilled to show off the female coming-of-age story. Kate says she doesn't have much time to relax and enjoy the Park City scene before heading back to LA.
