Tobey Maguire, Ashley Olsen, and Justin Bartha also came out to honor Michael who graciously thanked his friends and family, even mentioning his son Cameron who is currently serving five years in jail after a conviction on drug charges. He had this to say, "God bless my son, I think he's in a safe place. He'll be there for a while. And [he'll] start a new life." Michael just returned from a trip to France after debuting Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps with costars Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan at Cannes.

Kellan Lutz joined Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt last night in LA for a screening of the film Before I Forget, which is a documentary based on Kirk Douglas's life and career. A still-scruffy Jon shared his thoughts about the man of the evening, saying, "What an amazing person, not only in our industry, but just an amazing person giving so much back to the community and raised a great family." Kellan Lutz also took his turn speaking to reporters, though he was less interested in talking about Kirk and more into talking about the latest news on Breaking Dawn's being two movies. He didn't do much to clear up confusion, saying only, "The script is still in treatment . . . I think they're deciding if it's going to be one or two movies."

Catherine and Michael braved the paps at The Ivy over the weekend in order to have lunch. The couple was in town to celebrate Kirk Douglas's 90th birthday. At the party Kirk made a wish where he directed his words to all young Americans. He advised them: "You need to rebel, to speak up, write, vote, and care about people and the world you live in." Wonder if he had any of young Hollywood in mind when he said that!
