Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were in London this evening for the UK premiere of Knight and Day. Cameron looked fantastic in her Stella McCartney mini sweater dress. They're in the midst of a short European promotional tour for the film, which included a stop in Germany yesterday. She and Tom took time before their appearance on the red carpet today to film a cameo for the British show Top Gear, which will air this weekend. Cameron joined Tom for the trip abroad following a stay in NYC with Alex Rodriguez. Things seem to be going well between Cameron and Alex, but she's apparently not one to believe in lifelong love.

They've made their way around the globe with recent stops in Brazil and Mexico after the world premiere in Spain last month. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were together in Mexico City yesterday for their latest photo call promoting Knight and Day. She managed to fit in a date night with Alex Rodriguez in NYC before heading off on another press tour with Tom, after a European trip that included events in Spain and Austria. Tom and Cameron's movie came out in the US two weeks ago to less-than-stellar box office results, but studio executives are hoping the worldwide grosses help make the film a success. Both Tom and Cameron have been doing their best to get word about their blockbuster out, including her interviews in Harper's Bazaar and InStyle.

Surprise, surprise — Eclipse continued its hot streak at the box office, taking home the holiday weekend crown and raking in $69 million (the film has made $161 million since its midnight opening on Wednesday). The Last Airbender had a decent debut weekend as well: despite harsh reviews, the action adventure took in a respectable $40.6 million.
Toy Story 3 was bumped to third but still made a healthy $30.1 million, while Grown Ups settled for fourth place with $18.5 million. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz stayed in the top five with Knight and Day's $10.2 million. Though it's been a slow Summer for movies, the holiday weekend proved to be better than most — Eclipse had the third best Fourth of July weekend opening in history. Never underestimate the power of Edward Cullen.
