As the ever-important September issues get closer and closer to the newsstand, more details have emerged about which celebrities will cover some of the industry's biggest magazines.

While some books will rely on tried-and-true stars to sell their issues — Vogue has recast Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Lopez will reprise her role as cover girl for InStyle — other magazines have selected newer talents. Cosmopolitan, for example, has photographed Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale for its September cover.

A full rundown of all the cover stars so far, below.

  • Cat Marnell has quit her job as beauty and health director of XO Jane, reportedly over her refusal to stop using drugs. "I couldn’t spend another summer meeting deadlines behind a computer at night when I could be on the rooftop of Le Bain looking for shooting stars and smoking angel dust with my friends and writing a book, which is what I'm doing next," Marnell said. [Page Six]

  • Leandra Medine, also known as The Man Repeller, married in a private ceremony in New York on Thursday. While Medine had floated the possibility of wearing custom Prabal Gurung, she instead walked down the aisle in off-the-rack Marchesa. "Prabal and I were going to try and work together but it just didn't work out," she said. [Racked]

  • Lady Gaga's upcoming fragrance Fame is billed as the first black-colored eau de parfum. It becomes clear when the wearer sprays it on, and it contains notes of honey, apricots nectar, and tiger orchids. The scent will debut around the same time as Gaga's September issue cover of Vogue. [The Cut]

  • President Obama caused a stir in New York City's West Village Thursday night when he attended the fundraising dinner hosted by Anna Wintour at Sarah Jessica Parker's home. While guests — including Michael Kors — broke bread inside Parker's brownstone, some neighbors were prevented from going into their apartments or relaxing on their rooftops. [Daily Intel]

  • Christian Louboutin would like to make one thing clear: even though a French judge has allowed Zara to sell a red-soled shoe that infringes on Louboutin's trademark on red soles, the company definitely "continues to own valid and enforceable trademark rights in its Red Sole Trademark, including in France itself as well as throughout the world." The company is still battling a red-sole trademark case against Yves Saint Laurent in the United States. [The Daily Telegraph]

  • Zac Posen — who has quickly amassed upward of 90,000 followers on Twitter — says that while he doesn't type his own tweets, he does directly oversee the woman on his staff who does. "I tell her exactly what to say — every word," Posen said. [WWD]

  • With a week left to go in the campaign to fund his documentary Advanced Style — which, like the blog, depicts stylish women aged 60 to 100 — Ari Seth Cohen has already surpassed his goal of raising $35,000. [On the Runway]

  • Singer Iggy Azalea has signed with Wilhelmina International, the same model and celebrity management agency that has counted Iman, Coco Rocha, Carol Alt, and Theodora Richards among its talent over the years. [Rap Up]

  • Daisy Lowe says her most memorable modeling moment so far was "mud-wrestling for the Pirelli calendar in the middle of the street in Porto Seguro, Brazil." The most embarrassing? "Getting rushed to the hospital after my hair was dyed blue for a job!" [Vogue]

  • According to anonymous sources, Vogue has already shot Lady Gaga for the cover of its all-important September issue, just in time to tout the release of her first fragrance. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have reportedly already photographed the singer. She last covered the magazine in March 2011. [WWD]

  • The Simone Handbag Museum is set to open in Seoul, Korea, come July. Among the 300 examples of bags that will be on display are an English silk satin sweetmeats bag that dates back to 1580 and a gold-covered drawstring bag from Boucheron made around 1880. [T Magazine]

  • Azzedine Alaia is said to be interested in opening his own boutique at 5 Rue de Marignan in Paris, not far from Christian Louboutin, Prada, and Nina Ricci outposts. Alaia currently only sells his clothing through retailers like Barneys and Net-a-Porter. A representative for the brand declined to comment on the rumor. [Fashion Etc.]

  • Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, whose stints as an actress and underwear designer have kept her from walking runways of late, returned to the catwalk Monday to kick off Sao Paolo Fashion Week. Huntington-Whiteley modeled two looks during the Animale show. [Modelinia]

Gaultier joins Dior, Chanel, Burberry, and other European brands that have presented special shows or exhibitions in China, Taiwan, and Japan. [WWD]

  • Indonesia's national police have canceled Lady Gaga's June 3 concert in Jakarta after religious groups and conservative lawmakers protested against her sometimes racy choreography and stage costumes. The police said they decided to deny a permit because they couldn't guarantee security at the concert, which would have hosted the largest audience of Gaga's "Born This Way" tour in Asia. [The Cut]

  • Tyra Banks wrote an open letter to aspiring models in light of Vogue's new Health Initiative, encouraging women all over the world to embrace their flaws. "Vogue has the power to make and break—whether it's fashion trends, designers, models, and yes, even industry practices," Banks writes. "Their bold stance means that others will follow." [The Daily Beast]

  • Rachel Roy has revealed the details of how she and her date Solange Knowles got ready for the Met Gala. In between getting her makeup done and a final dress fitting, Roy squeezed in a "quick phone call to the office" and "a little negotiation on some fabric prices." [Stylelist]

I mean, she's so nice and I can actually hang out with her and have fun." [The Daily Telegraph]

  • Vena Cava's Lisa Mayock says that her brand's expansion deal with Li & Fung means that the brand is going to change and grow sooner than expected. "We're working on more collections and a few surprises in the next couple of months; maybe some lower price points." [Daily Front Row]

  • Neon nail polish technically isn't approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration, which has to authorize new beauty products before they hit the market. "Colorants used to create, neon, day-glo or glow-in-the-dark nail polishes have not gone through the FDA approval process, so technically they are not allowed for use for nail polish applications," said Doug School, chief scientific officer for Creative Nail Design. [Fashion Etc.]

  • Salvatore Ferragamo is renewing its It brand status thanks to its clothing and shoes being seen on the backs of stars like Lady Gaga. "You can not just decide one day you want to target a younger customer, but it's just something that we see happening," said the brand's CEO Michele Norsa. [Forbes]

Armani to Design Costumes For Lady Gaga's Born This Way Tour

>> Giorgio Armani will reprise his role as Lady Gaga's chief costumer when he creates the clothes she'll wear for her upcoming Born This Way Ball tour.

Armani has created costumes and red-carpet outfits for Gaga in the past, but the new costumes will be more diverse. Sketches of the clothes reveal everything from a long-sleeved, floor-length shift dress to a hat shaped like a keyboard. The Armani team used PVC, lots of metal studs, and jet-black Swarovski crystals to create the outfits.

"Collaborating with Lady Gaga is always an exciting experience for me," Armani said. "I admire the way she uses fashion as a scenic element and as a means to build a character."

A look at the characters Armani helped Gaga create in the gallery.

  • Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, the singer and style star we all know and love as Lady Gaga, turned 26 years old today. A fan tweeted to Gaga to ask her how she planned to celebrate, and she replied "Quinceañera." [MTV Style]

  • T Magazine editor Sally Singer confessed to being just as obsessed with nail art as the rest of the fashion world when she collaborated with photographer Raymond Meier and manicurist Maki Sakamoto on a series of photos of her ideal nail art looks. "I had an idea for left wing nails—a left hand with the symbols for different socialist parties on each fingernail, and the right hand could just be painted black," she said. [Nowness]

  • Iconic photographer Bruce Weber created a short film for ubiquitous mall brand Abercrombie & Fitch that features a group of half-naked young men writhing around in a shower together before one of them plants a tender kiss on the forehead of another. Weber has created slightly homoerotic campaigns and imagery for the brand in the past, but this is the first one to actually touch the issue — pun intended — first hand. [Styleite]

  • Model and humanitarian Liya Kebede is the star of a new French children's film called Sur la piste du Marsupilami, about a reporter on the hunt for an animal that may or may not exist. Kebede plays Queen Paya, leader of a mystical realm called (we know, stay with us) Palombia, in which she dances and does "magical things with balls of light." [The Cut]

  • Designer Victoria Beckham is on the cover of the April issue of Harper's Bazaar UK. The magazine dubbed her Queen Victoria in reference to her continued climb up the ranks of British fashion designers, and in a nod to Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, which is being celebrated this year. Happy 26th Birthday Lady Gaga — How the Singer Keeps Healthy

Lady Gaga turns 26 today, and to celebrate, we're taking a look at how the singer stays fit — I mean, look at those abs!

Lady Gaga turns 26 today, and to celebrate, we're taking a look at how the singer stays fit — I mean, look at those abs! — while living such a demanding lifestyle. While Gaga isn't without controversy (she's admitted to occasional drug and alcohol use), she remains extremely focused when it comes to her diet and fitness regimen.

    • She keeps a consistent workout schedule: Without fail, Gaga maintains the fitness regimen created for her by trainer Harley Pasternak. Even while touring, she works out five times a week for at least 25 minutes each day. The secret to Lady Gaga's killer abs? Lots of crunches. Harley starts her on a basic crunch and modifies that into reverse crunches, ending with a double crunch. If you want to get abs like the birthday girl, check out Lady Gaga's favorite ab exercises. When you've finished the ab routine, watch this video of Harley as he takes you through Gaga's butt workout.
    • She keeps a healthy diet: Besides following Harley's fitness routine, Gaga also subscribes to his 5 Factor Diet, which says to eat five times a day (two meals and three snacks) of foods falling into these five categories: lean protein, low-glycemic carbs, healthy fats, fiber, and a sugar-free beverage. The diet also allows for one cheat day a week. Some of Gaga's favorite foods to munch on are salsa with grain chips, tofu, turkey slices, hummus, and coconut water. Tonight, make yourself a Gaga-approved meal: check out Harley's recipe for five-spice halibut.
    • She believes in the healing power of yoga: A longtime yogini, Gaga even makes a habit to practice at local studios wherever her travels take her (Bikram and hot power yoga are her styles of choice). She has said, "Yoga makes me feel like I can do anything," and has called her longtime NYC-based teacher Tricia Donegan an inspiration, saying " . . . yoga heals me and so do you."
