But perhaps no one had a chicer week than Leelee Sobieski. The statuesque star wore a flowing Boy. By Band of Outsiders gown to the premiere of her new film The Five-Year Engagement on Tuesday, then on Wednesday turned up to the Vanity Fair Tribeca Film Festival party in a dramatic Jil Sander frock — and looked majorly stunning in both.

Stars like Dakota Fanning, Leelee Sobieski, and Catherine Zeta-Jones gathered last night to celebrate the start of the Tribeca Film Festival at Vanity Fair's kickoff party. The bash was held at NYC's State Supreme Courthouse and many of the celebs posed for pictures outside before heading in to start the fun with editor in chief Graydon Carter. Leelee, who arrived with her designer husband Adam Kimmel, wore a white gown from Jil Sander. Dakota, one of the festival's judges this year, was pretty in a pink Lanvin. Catherine broke from working on The Bitter Pill to throw on a silver Michael Kors number and let loose alongside husband Michael Douglas. Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner also popped by to say hello during a date night, when their daughter Arabella stayed home. Helena Christensen, Tory Burch, and Leelee Sobieski looked Spring-perfect in crisp white dresses; Sobieski, in a full-skirted Jil Sander gown, was especially stunning. Dakota Fanning looked charming in a hot pink Pre-Fall 2012 Lanvin cocktail frock, while even a leg injury and crutch couldn't stop Donna Karan from looking the picture of elegance in black layers and sculptural jewels. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen divided to conquer NYC yesterday. Mary-Kate had her hands full as she left an office building and hopped into a car, and Ashley, who was wearing plaid TEXTILE Elizabeth and James pants, met up with pal Leelee Sobieski, who has a new show NYC 22 debuting soon, for lunch. The Olsens are hanging out in the Big Apple tending to their various fashion ventures. They're also among the many celebrities who love their animals on National Pets Day, which is today! Ashley's recently returned from a visit to LA, where she attended the Santa Monica Museum of Art's Precognito Gala in March. Both she and Mary-Kate just spoke about their jet-setting lives and the work they share in the April edition of Elle UK.

New York Fashion Week is starting to wind down, but yesterday boasted some of the biggest shows of the season and Rachel Zoe was front row to check out Proenza Schouler's Spring 2012 collection. The runway was covered in shag carpet, and the models strutted down the catwalk in Proenza Schouler eelskin skirts and prints. Rachel was joined in the audience by Alexa Chung, Pharrell Williams, and Alicia Keys. It's been an action-packed week for Rachel Zoe, who has taken in tons of shows alongside husband Rodger, and she also showed off her own Rachel Zoe collection with a private presentation. Rachel and Rodger's baby son, Skyler, was front and center to check out his mom's hard work. Rachel admitted she was "terrified" for her first-ever fashion week presentation, but it went off without a hitch.
