The 2013 Billboard Music Awards rolled into Las Vegas on Sunday night taking over the MGM Grand. Stars hit the Billboard red carpet and made appearances on stage, but the real fun went on behind the scenes and in the audience. Check out celebrities and performers mingling backstage and posing for photo ops in between winning awards and grabbing the microphone. Madonna Goes Pantless to Pick up a Billboard Award
After her daring punk look at the Met Gala earlier this month, Madonna made another fashion statement at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday. She skipped the red carpet and made her racy debut on stage in a black fishnet dress and a fur bomber jacket. Madonna was honored with the top touring artist award, which was presented to her by Will.i.am. She shared her gratitude for her fans saying, "Thank you for supporting me for three decades. Without you I wouldn't be here."
Billboard Music Awards: Madonna
On the heels of her Met Gala appearance, Madonna is at it again at the Billboard Music Awards. The (first) Queen of Pop received the top touring artist award, and while she may have skipped the red carpet, her Givenchy Haute Couture outfit was certainly worth the wait. Dressed in some recognizable pieces courtesy of the aforementioned Met Gala, Madonna took the stage in a black fishnet dress, topped with a texturized, cropped, and feather-collared bomber jacket. But the look didn't end there. She wore it all cinched with a grommet-embellished wide belt and finished with thigh-high stockings, which were fastened with a garter belt. As for the last bit of accessories? She also rocked her monogrammed padlock choker, statement sunglasses, and black platform pumps. Did she nail it?

Still on Top: Take a Look Back at the Material Girl's History of Trendsetting
Hold on to your (leather) hats: Madonna is being honored as the Top Touring Artist at next week's Billboard Music Awards, thanks to the worldwide success of her recent MDNA tour.
The international superstar, clothing chameleon, and ultimate risk-taker has brought so much good to our lives — and single-handedly ushered in tons of trends since she hit the scene in the early '80s. From Ray-Ban Wayfarers and fingerless lace gloves to cone bras and stacks of rubber bracelets (the original arm party, in our opinion), Madonna has a long history of setting trends and paving the way for fashion freedom — and if her punk-inspired look from Monday's Met Gala is any indication, it doesn't look like she's stopping anytime soon. We're taking a look back at the many trends that Madonna set into motion — click through to see them all now.
Stars Let Loose at the Met Gala Afterparty!
The fun wasn't over for the Met Gala 2013 attendees in NYC last night as they flocked to the Standard Hotel following the ball for the official afterparty at the Boom Boom Room. Madonna stripped out of her bum-baring Met Gala outfit and changed into a fishnet body stocking and black lacy lingerie to mingle with guests like Katy Perry, Allison Williams, and Frank Ocean. She wasn't the only star who made a costume change — Amanda Seyfried took off her gown and changed into a baggy black t-shirt to hit the dance floor with Frank. Meanwhile, Miranda Kerr met up with January Jones, Jennifer Lawrence arrived with Marion Cotillard, Gerard Butler mingled with Karolina Kurkova, andNicole Richie connected with Kirsten Dunst, and Mary-Kate Olsen snuggled with boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy. Mary-Kate and Olivier weren't the only couple at the late-night bash, as Jennifer Morrison was spotted holding hands with her Once Upon a Time costar Sebastian Stan and Kate Bosworth hugged Michael Polish. From Red Carpet to Afterparty: The Best Met Gala Quick-Change Artists
This year's Met Gala attendees gave us good reason to think two outfits are better than one. And who can blame Ashley Greene for trading her dramatic Marchesa gown for something a little shorter come afterparty? Those iconic Met stairs (read: not ornate-dress friendly) alone could prompt an outfit change, but we think it gives this A-list set another chance to show off one more great look before night's end. Case in point: Allison Williams's surprising dark and sexy twofer, courtesy of Altuzarra. Or how about Madonna's Givenchy Haute Couture tartan and fishnets getup that turned into just fishnets all over? The beauty of seeing fashion's finest is actually seeing them at their finest, and that means outfit changes galore. Which stars were bona fide Met Gala quick-change artists? Find out right this way.
11 Reasons Madonna Was the Met Gala's Punk Queen
When Beyoncé arrived on the red carpet at last night's Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, we thought the show was over: Queen Bey had arrived fashionably late to fashion's biggest night, and she stole the show in custom Givenchy. But just around the corner, Madonna — perhaps the original Queen of Pop — seemed ready to take back her throne. Moments after Beyoncé made her way atop the staircase, Madonna showed up in a look so punk, we thought she might have ransacked the museum's Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition to get all the materials. (Which, now that we think about it, would have been quite fitting.)
Also in bespoke Givenchy, Madonna had all the workings of true punk royalty. For the details on her look and her afterparty attire, find them here in this gallery.
Madonna Bares Her Butt (and Much More) During a Wild Met Gala Night
Madonna was the last celebrity on the red carpet at last night's Met Gala in NYC, arriving later than even honorary cochair Beyoncé Knowles. She walked the red carpet with her boyfriend, Brahim Zaibat, who accessorized with two flags. Madonna had another lucky guy on her arm as she did interviews with Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, the man behind her creative — and short — ensemble. Later, Madge stripped down to lingerie and a fishnet body stocking to attend the official Met Gala afterparty with Riccardo and Brahim. She capped off the wild night by holding court with Katy Perry, Frank Ocean, and a host of other fashion cool kids.

Whose Punk Beauty Reigned Supreme? Vote Now!

The hair and makeup at the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is consistently some of the best of the year. And with a theme centering around the Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit, high drama was a must-have look. But surprisingly, the best looks of the evening ran the gamut of sophisticated rebel to all-out rocker.
Sarah Jessica Parker wowed the red carpet congregation with an over-the-top Trojan headpiece that was nestled among a twisting collection of fishtail braids. Nicole Richie was also a surprising arrival, sporting a wispy, gray beehive that was part powdered wig and part punk. Speaking of wigs, Madonna opted for a Bettie Page-inspired hairpiece, complete with short, blunt bangs.

Moving on to the blondes of the ball, Sienna Miller went all-out grunge with a seriously textured hairstyle embellished with a studded hairpiece, inky black liner, and a nude lipstick. And in one of the more jaw-dropping moments of the evening, Anne Hathaway stunned with a peroxide blond pompadour, accented with lavender shadow and loads of liner.
Whether they were giving punk a sophisticated spin or going completely chaotic, these five ladies stole the show in their own right. But who was your pick for the best punk beauty look of the Met Gala?
