Marion Cotillard donned a strapless Vivienne Westwood gown to join Colin Firth at the Chopard lunch as part of the festivities for the Cannes Film Festival today. Marion and Colin celebrated the jewelry brand, which is responsible for creating the festival's Palme d'Or trophy, as well as best actor and actress awards. The celebratory lunch comes at an interesting time for the brand since it was revealed that $1 million worth of Chopard jewels were stolen from a hotel room in Cannes last night. The jewelry was to be loaned as red carpet pieces to the stars at the festival. Many drew comparisons between last night's burglary and the film, The Bling Ring, which coincidentally debuted at the festival yesterday, since the movie is based on the real-life case of teenage burglars who robbed the Hollywood homes of celebrities.
The Cannes Film Festival kicked off in the South of France, and so many leading ladies (and gents) have already made their way over to the Riviera for this glamorous affair. The Cannes red carpets always deliver incredible fashions, so watch on to see who we're keeping our eyes peeled on this time around. On Allison: Rebecca Taylor suit, Bebe top.
Nicole Kidman, Carey Mulligan, and Julianne Moore are the latest in a long list of fashion darlings and actresses to take Raf Simons from the runway to the red carpet. Ever since Belgian designer Simons, formerly of Jil Sander, took the reins at the legendary label, he's presented five exquisite collections. Naturally, stars like Cotillard (the face of Lady Dior) and Jennifer Lawrence (the face of Miss Dior handbags) have flocked to his jaw-dropping gowns, and we can totally see why. Simons is breathing new life into the design house by taking iconic past-collection references (think New Look from the 1940s) and updating them with a modern twist. Step inside to see all the stars who have donned Simons's designs for Dior now.
Our position on the red carpet at last night's Met Gala afforded the chance to observe what really takes place on the storied red carpet! It was model, designer, and actor madness as guests headed in to celebrate the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute exhibit Punk: Chaos to Couture.
Veteran attendees Gisele Bündchen and her husband, Tom Brady, shared a run-in with first-timer Kim Kardashian on the carpet, while a Valentino-clad Gwyneth Paltrow caught up with her good friend Jessica Seinfeld. Kristen Stewart wasn't bothered by the stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Biel mingling outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, though her pal Jennifer Lawrence did do a bit of socializing with her fellow Dior spokesperson Marion Cotillard.

Marion Cotillard has honed her red-carpet reputation with pieces that appear basic at first glance but reveal something more interesting upon second (or third) glance. And at the Met Gala, Cotillard's strapless Dior dress had two asymmetrical lines and the graceful fall of the skirt flipped back to reveal a spot of daffodil yellow. Are you a fan, or would you like to see more oomph?

Marion Cotillard planted a sweet kiss on her son Marcel's cheek while cheering on Guillaume Canet at the International Jump Bost in Barbizon, France, on Sunday. Marion and Marcel cuddled to keep warm during the sweet outing, where they watched Guillaume show off his skills on his horse. She returned to her native France for the family fun following a recent trip to Tokyo, where she donned a Christian Dior gown for an event to promote her film Rust and Bone at the end of last month. Earlier, Marion showed support for her husband when she attended Guillaume's Paris premiere of his film Jappeloup back in February.
Marion Cotillard was in Japan for the Tokyo premiere of her movie Rust and Bone, and for the occasion, she chose a look from Christian Dior's Pre-Fall 2013 collection. The beautiful strapless floral gown was not only in the prettiest shade of purple, but also featured a rise-and-fall hemline, too. As the face of Lady Dior handbags, we spotted Cotillard in a plethora of Christian Dior looks throughout award season, and it looks as though she's keeping her loyalty intact. Watch on for all the details. On Allison McNamara: Growze blouse, Vince Camuto blazer.
Marion Cotillard took to the red carpet today in Japan for the Tokyo premiere of her film Rust and Bone. Marion also debuted her edgy new fringe haircut at the event, where the actress received a bouquet of flowers and spoke to the crowd before the film's screening.
Marion chose a strapless floral dress from Christian Dior's pre-Fall 2013 collection for the occasion, which is fitting since she is the face of Lady Dior. Marion has been linked to the French label since 2008, but this time around, she got hands on with handbags. Dior released a behind-the-scenes video of Marion's creative process while designing her very own carryall, called the 360° Bag.
Marion Cotillard went with a sleek, modern look at the Rust & Bone premiere in Tokyo yesterday, wearing her hair stick-straight and debuting short, blunt fringe. To get this low-volume look, sidestep the mousse and use a silkening serum like Kenra Shine Serum ($18) for a high-gloss blowout. Then, go over with a flat iron to smooth strands. Finally, use a touch of styling wax on your fingers to style parted bangs for an added edge. Marion completed her look with sparkling copper shadow and a glossy salmon lip color.
Oscars aside, this week inspired another round of enviable celebrity looks at Paris Fashion Week, Oz's promotional tour, and a number of parties and premieres — proof that there was no shortage of celebrity glamour after the big show. It may be a less dressed-up crew than the Academy's red carpet, but Marion Cotillard in a polished Dior ensemble, Miranda Kerr's brand of street chic, and Olivia Palermo's Paris Fashion Week arrival are all evidence of life after award season. In this batch, we're also treated to more Spring-minded ensembles as we make the jump to March with Solange Knowles's Moschino polka dots and white pumps.
