Sally Field and Martin Sheen Talk Onscreen Chemistry and Parenting Spider-Man

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield aren't the only couple in The Amazing Spider-Man: Sally Field and Martin Sheen play Peter Parker's aunt and uncle, who raise him when his parents mysteriously disappear.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield aren't the only couple in The Amazing Spider-Man: Sally Field and Martin Sheen play Peter Parker's aunt and uncle, who raise him when his parents mysteriously disappear. When I sat down with Martin and Sally at a recent press day in NY, they joked about their easy onscreen chemistry and how many laughs they had together on the set. Not only did Sally gush that Martin is the "silliest man that ever walked," but she also praised Andrew Garfield for being a huge talent.

George Clooney and Brad Pitt Team Up For Live Prop 8 Play Performance

George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Martin Sheen were among the A-list actors who participated in the stage reading of 8 in LA last night.

George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Martin Sheen were among the A-list actors who participated in the stage reading of 8 in LA last night. The play, written by Dustin Lance Black, showcases the proceedings of the 2010 Proposition 8 federal court battle about California's gay marriage ban that was approved in 2008. The real life events were not broadcast to the public so Dustin Lance Black wrote this script to show what went on behind those closed doors. The play made its debut on Broadway last year, but last night it was all about the star power. 8 streamed live on YouTube, where it will also be available to watch at any time for the next week. Other celebrities in the performance included Kevin Bacon, Chris Colfer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson Jamie Lee Curtis, Matt Bomer, and more.

The overturning of Prop 8 is a cause that George and Brad have both spoken about many times. Clooney recently spoke about rumors about his own sexuality to The Advocate, saying, "I’m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I’m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I’m gay? I’ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don’t give a sh*t."

Andrew Garfield took a solo spin around the set of The Amazing Spider-Man in NYC last night before getting down to business in front of the cameras.

Andrew Garfield took a solo spin around the set of The Amazing Spider-Man in NYC last night before getting down to business in front of the cameras. He chatted with the director and rehearsed lines with costar Martin Sheen before they started rolling on a pivotal scene in which Peter Parker, Andrew's character, witnesses Uncle Ben, played by Martin, pass away. So far, most of Andrew's scenes have been shared with Emma Stone. She wasn't on hand for the late-night shoot but she's still holding onto her lead over Andrew in the PopSugar 100's category of hottest rising stars — there's plenty of time to cast your votes and share them on Facebook to be entered into a drawing to win one of four awesome prizes!

Matthew and Catherine Celebrate Michael's Body of Work

Michael Douglas was the man of the evening last night as he received an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in LA.

Michael Douglas was the man of the evening last night as he received an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in LA. He hit the red carpet on the arm of his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, while his Ghosts of Girlfriends Past costar Matthew McConaughey brought along Camila Alves. Kiefer Sutherland and Tobey Maguire took the stage to pay tribute to their pal Michael, and Catherine even brought out her Chicago skills for a song-and-dance number in her husband's honor. Michael's been a Hollywood heavyweight for decades, but we'll see more of him on the big screen in the Wall Street sequel and, according to Catherine, a project they're looking to star in together.

Ruh Roh — Paris Hilton's Still Campaigning!

I'm starting to get nervous about Paris Hilton's faux campaigning for the presidency.

I'm starting to get nervous about Paris Hilton's faux campaigning for the presidency. I mean, she's consulting with faux West Wing president Martin "Josiah Bartlet" Sheen about her "pre-party for a party she's throwing before the after-party," and she already has a nickname for foreign policy — "fo po." Be afraid, people! Be very, very afraid.

While the women went for the gold, the men hit the red carpet in a very traditional black look at the Critics' Choice Awards.

While the women went for the gold, the men hit the red carpet in a very traditional black look at the Critics' Choice Awards. Could this be what we should be expecting tonight at the Golden Globes? The photos below are a small representation of the many men that walked the red carpet ranging from Clint Eastwood to John Heder. Ben has some kind of smirk on his face while Leo is looking very well rested and tan. We showed you Ryan (with Rachel) before but since he has a special place in our heart he gets the double post. Finally, checkout Sacha Baron Cohen - he looks so normal compared to his Borat character. Which do you prefer?

More on the show later, but in the meantime check out the men dressed in their finest including Cedric the Entertainer, Cuba Gooding Jr., Emilio Estevez, Forest Whitaker, Greg Kinnear, Martin Sheen and many more so read more
