The Spice Girls musical playing in London's West End is called Viva Forever!, but its run will last only six months. It was confirmed today that Viva Forever! will close early in June, despite the best promotional efforts of Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham. Due to poor ticket sales and worse reviews, backers of the production say they could not make the financials work. In a statement the Girls expressed their own thoughts, saying, "Although Viva Forever won't continue in the West End, we are thrilled that the thousands of people who came to the show had as much fun as we did."

It was a Spice Girls reunion last night at their Viva Forever! premiere held at London's Piccadilly Theatre. Victoria Beckham was joined on the carpet by David, Romeo, Brookyn, and Cruz, while Harper skipped out on the celebration. Victoria was reportedly running a bit late and missed out on the opportunity to pose with her fellow Spice Girls, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Chisholm on the carpet but met up with them on stage to congratulate the performers afterward. Reviews of Viva Forever are rather brutal, but that didn't dampen the Girls' enthusiasm. It's been a few months since we've seen the group back together — the fab five famously closed out the Summer Olympics with a medley of their biggest hits.

The Beckhams are reportedly spending the holidays in England as David and Victoria continue house hunting overseas. It was another exciting year for the Beckhams, with Harper's first birthday and David's retirement from soccer ranking among their major milestones.

The Spice Girls reunited yesterday to rehearse their routine for the Olympics closing ceremony! Their show will take place as the London 2012 Games come to an end on Sunday. Victoria Beckham was in head-to-toe black to belt it out alongside her former bandmates Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell. It seems their portion of the show will have a very British theme, as the Girls were seen singing atop black cabs at the Ford factory in East London. Victoria will have a turn to participate in the Games after her husband helped kick things off in the opening ceremony. David drove a speedboat carrying the Olympic flame up to the East London site of the Games on Friday, July 27.

Victoria Beckham joined the rest of the Spice Girls in London today to confirm the upcoming musical Viva Forever!, which will feature their music and debut on the West End later this year. The Spice Girls haven't all been pictured together since the end of their reunion tour in 2008 and the location of this afternoon's press conference, the St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel, has special historical meaning for them since it's where they shot their "Wannabe" music video in 1996. Victoria tweeted her excitement about reuniting with Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, and Emma Bunton.

The website for Viva Forever! also launched today and contains a new description of what fans can expect come Dec. 11, saying, "As one girl follows her dreams, Viva Forever! charts her journey into the world of overnight celebrity and its impact on her mother and the friends she thought she'd have forever. From London to Spain and back again, as the world judges you, it's all about who you really are and who you want to be, whatever the cost."
