Nicole Kidman is no stranger to L'Wren Scott's exquisite creations, so we're not surprised that she went with the designer again for her Oscars red-carpet appearance. This time, she chose a black-and-gold gown that sparkled from every angle. The square-cut neckline showed off her toned upper half, while the formfitting silhouette hugged her gorgeous figure. Intricate 19th century Fred Leighton gold drop earrings and a gold bracelet played into her gilded theme. Do you like it?

Nicole Kidman Sparkles in Black and Gold at the Oscars
Nicole Kidman made a dramatic choice this evening, wearing a L'Wren Scott gown to the Oscars. She's been a familiar face on red carpets this award season. She was nominated — but did not win — for her work in The Paperboy and Hemingway & Gellhorn at the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes. Nicole also trekked to her native Australia for their AACTA Awards. It hasn't been all about Nicole and her work, though, as she also accompanied her musician husband, Keith Urban, to the Grammys. Most recently, Nicole was in London for the UK premiere of her latest film, Stoker. All the jet-setting is on hold for tonight, as Nicole preps to present at the Oscars. While not in the running for her films in 2013, she did memorably win in 2003 for The Hours. Weigh in on Nicole's look in our Oscars red-carpet fashion and beauty polls.
Nicole Kidman Wears L'Wren Scott Right Off the Fall '13 Runway
Nicole Kidman, spotted at the Stoker UK premiere, redefined what it is to wear something right off the runway — having donned a L'Wren Scott Fall '13 creation that made its LFW debut only hours before. The Yves-Klein-blue formfitting sheath lent a more opulent flair to Kidman's standard sophisticated dress code, not just because of the color, but thanks to the gold sequined — and polka-dotted — high-neck collar.

The Australian actress kept the same runway styling intact by pairing the look with oversize gold hoop Stroiloro earrings, a slightly messy updo, and woven gold pointy-toe pumps. Yes, she may have swapped out the peep-toe silhouette for something more covered-up and traded the gold cuff for a menswear-inspired watch, but the overall gilded statement was preserved. While we're impressed with just how quickly this dress made it from runway to red carpet, it also supplies us with even more proof of Kidman's loyalty to L'Wren Scott, as she has (thus far) worn her designs to numerous premieres and events, including the recent Producers Guild Awards.
Nicole Kidman Has a Fresh-Off-the-Runway Dress For Her Stoker Premiere
Nicole Kidman joined her Stoker costars Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode in London last night for a special screening. Decked out in a dress from her designer friend L'Wren Scott, Nicole posed for photos both inside and outside of the city's Curzon Soho theater. Having the screening in the UK may have helped Nicole get her hands on the dress — it was fresh of the runway of L'Wren Scott's Autumn/Winter 2013 show that took place in London on Saturday! Stoker is out in both the UK and the US on March 1. Stoker debuted at Sundance last month, though, to quite good early reviews.
Nicole and Keith Get in the Valentine's Spirit Ahead of the Oscars
Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban celebrated Valentine's Day with dinner at Eveleigh in LA yesterday. They have some downtime after getting glammed up for a big appearance at Sunday's Grammys so Keith could take the stage as a presenter. Nicole and Keith have been fixtures at this award season. They both attended at the Golden Globes, where they were both up for honors. Later, Nicole stepped out solo for the SAG Awards. However, the fun isn't over for the couple just yet — it was recently announced that Nicole will present at the 2013 Oscars. Nicole isn't up for an Academy Award this time around, but she did win best actress in 2002 for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours.
Grammy Awards: Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman stepped onto the Grammys red carpet looking regal in a gold-embroidered lace gown by Vera Wang. The bodice featured a demure V neckline — but notice the sheer, leg-revealing hemline. The actress finished her gold gown with white drop earrings, a single metallic bracelet, and stick-straight hair. What do you think of Nicole's latest red-carpet style?

Nicole and Keith Catch Up With Faith and Tim at the Grammys
Nicole Kidman wore gold Vera Wang to accompany her husband, Keith Urban, to the Grammys in LA tonight. Both Keith and Nicole have been award-season so far — she was up for two Golden Globes thanks to her small-screen work in Hemingway & Gellhorn and her big-screen work in The Paperboy. Tonight, though, is all about Keith, one of the evening's presenters. He's not nominated this year, but he's won plenty of Grammys before. He has a total of four, and most recently won best male country vocal performance for "'Til Summer Comes Around" in 2011. The fun has already started for Nicole and Keith — they caught up with pals Faith Hill and Tim McGraw on their way inside Staples Center.
Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe Land in Sydney With Her Little Ones
Nicole Kidman arrived in Sydney yesterday with her daughters, Faith and Sunday, and her fellow Aussie actor Russell Crowe. Nicole and her girls got picked up at the airport by Keith Urban, who showered Nicole with kisses before whisking the actress off so she could get ready for that night's AACTA Awards. Russell, meanwhile, helped Nicole usher her kids out of the airport and headed home to prepare for the award show, which he hosted. This isn't the first time that Nicole and Russell have spent time together this week — they also hung out at the SAG Awards on Sunday. Nicole attended the show solo while Keith stayed in Australia for his tour, which will take him to North America this Summer.
Cate Blanchett Is a Femme Fatale in Red Sequins
Two of our favorite Aussies, Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman, stepped out in style for the AACTA Awards. While Cate channeled her inner glamazon and went ultrasexy in a floor-length red sequined gown by Armani Privé, Nicole took the ladylike route in a soft, yellow Erdem strapless. For all the details on these red-carpet styles, watch today's Fashion Flash. On Allison McNamara: Vena Cava dress, Stella & Bow jewelry. Hair and makeup by Kasia Bohos.
Cate and Nicole Stun at the AACTA Awards — Who's Best Dressed?
Battle of the Aussies: Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman attended the AACTA Awards last night in Sydney, Australia, looking nothing short of stunning in their choice of statement dresses. Always one to push the style envelope, Cate donned a fiery red sequined Armani Privé gown paired with black statement earrings and patent pumps. Quite a bold ensemble, especially compared to fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman, who opted to take the ladylike route in a strapless embroidered Erdem Spring '13 dress. The light yellow hue contrasted beautifully against her skin tone and we love that she accessorized her ensemble with a pair of decadent gold and blue earrings along with chic ankle-strap sandals. Which look are you leaning towards — Cate's bold fashion statement or Nicole's ladylike look?
