The LA premiere of Nobody Walks brought out a star-studded crowd last night, including the film's writer Lena Dunham and star Olivia Thirlby. Malin Akerman, wearing Hugo Boss, also joined Nicky Hilton and Isabel Lucas. Malin, who's expecting her first child with husband of five years Roberto Zincone, posed for photographers before heading inside the screening. Malin announced that she's expecting late last week, and didn't waste much time before celebrating at Saturday's Environmental Media Awards alongside Ian Somerhalder, Jessica Alba, and Emily VanCamp.

The debut went on without the film's leading man John Krasinski, who was spotted in London over the weekend attending his sister-in-law Felicty Blunt's wedding to Stanley Tucci.

Nobody Walks Trailer: John Krasinski Has a Wandering Eye

Infidelity is at the center of the trailer for Nobody Walks, an indie drama cowritten by Ry Russo-Young and Lena Dunham.

Infidelity is at the center of the trailer for Nobody Walks, an indie drama cowritten by Ry Russo-Young and Lena Dunham. In the film, John Krasinski and Rosemarie DeWitt play Peter and Julie, a married couple who are each tempted by other people. For Peter, the object of his extramarital admiration is Martine (Olivia Thirlby), a young filmmaker who's staying with Peter and his family while he helps her with a project. The free-spirited artist isn't the only threat to Peter's marriage; his wife, Julie, is a therapist who may be getting too close to a patient (Justin Kirk), and it's unclear whether Peter and Julie's relationship will be able to survive.

It's a little disconcerting seeing Krasinski as a man on the verge of an affair, but I do like seeing him out of The Office and involved in a drama. On the same note, I'm also curious to check out another project from Dunham after enjoying the first season of Girls so much, especially since this seems more mature. Nobody Walks premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival, but you can check it out yourself on Oct. 12 and watch the trailer after the jump.

Celebrities Go Preppy in High-Heeled Loafers — Get the Look For Work

Flat loafers are all the rage these days, but those who want height with their preppy choose high-heeled and platform loafers.

Flat loafers are all the rage these days, but those who want height with their preppy choose high-heeled and platform loafers. Check out Alexa Chung wearing gray suede high-heeled loafers at the 2012 Scottish Fashion Awards, actress Olivia Thirlby rocking a pair of bright-pink platform loafers with a blue shorts suit, and model Petra Nemcova in colorblock high-heeled Tommy Hilfiger loafers. This trend is perfect for work, and as you can see from these three ladies, it looks great with everything from dresses to suits to pants. Opt to go bold in a colored pair like Olivia, classic in a neutral hue like Alexa, or funky in a two-tone pair like Petra. To get started on the preppy-chic trend, shop our favorite high-heeled loafers below.

The Darkest Hour Trailer: When Aliens Attack Emile Hirsch

The trailer for The Darkest Hour starts off like a music video: we see a bunch of twentysomethings (including Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, and Rachael Taylor), head to Moscow where they take in gorgeous scenery by day and party it up with beautiful people by night.

The trailer for The Darkest Hour starts off like a music video: we see a bunch of twentysomethings (including Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, and Rachael Taylor), head to Moscow where they take in gorgeous scenery by day and party it up with beautiful people by night. The dream becomes a nightmare however, when Moscow is attacked by a mysterious species that starts sucking up all the energy and electricity they can. Thus begins a face-off, led by Hirsch, to protect our planet.

If the premise sounds silly, it's because it is — there's really nothing new here other than the Russian setting and a new crop of faces, but overall, The Darkest Hour looks like a slicker version of your typical teen horror movie. It does look pretty stylish though, so maybe we've got a fun popcorn movie on our hands. To watch the trailer, just read more

John Krasinski Goes Indie For Nobody Walks

Jim Halpert is lining up his next vacation from The Office: John Krasinski is in talks to star in Nobody Walks, an indie drama written by Lena Dunham.

Jim Halpert is lining up his next vacation from The Office: John Krasinski is in talks to star in Nobody Walks, an indie drama written by Lena Dunham. The film focuses on a family and young artist who disrupts their lives after her weekend stay turns permanent. Rosemarie DeWitt and Olivia Thirlby are also on board; though, there's no confirmation on who's playing whom, my guess is Krasinski and DeWitt lead the family with Thirlby as the artist.

Lately, Krasinski's movie career seems to be taking a direction toward bigger studio films, like next month's Something Borrowed, but I'm eager to see him back in an indie, since I loved him in Away We Go.

Paris, Nicole, and Mischa Still Heart Ronson After All These Years

Charlotte Ronson played hostess last night at a bash in LA celebrating her latest I Heart Ronson collection for JCPenney.

Charlotte Ronson played hostess last night at a bash in LA celebrating her latest I Heart Ronson collection for JCPenney. Her past parties have been famous for causing drama between Lindsay Lohan and Samantha, but yesterday's seemed to go off without a hitch as LL dealt with bigger legal issues. Charlotte and Samantha partied with their childhood friends Nicky and Paris Hilton, while Nicole Richie chatted with Rashida Jones and Benji Madden after her trip to NYC for the Costume Institute Gala. The whole gang was there to see Samantha take the stage on her guitar, with even Eclipse's Nikki Reed coming out to join the fun.

Movie Preview: Breaking Upwards

The only thing I love more than seeing a good story played out on screen is a movie with an equally good story behind it.

The only thing I love more than seeing a good story played out on screen is a movie with an equally good story behind it. In the upcoming indie film Breaking Upwards, Daryl and Zoe are a twentysomething couple who decide to take some time apart to figure out if they're meant to be together. Here's the twist: they also allow themselves a few days a week to be a full-on couple. Adult coming-of-age tales are nothing new, but I'm intrigued because Breaking Upwards is actually based on Daryl and Zoe's real-life relationship and breakup experiment (the actors play themselves and Daryl Weir directed).

The film looks sweetly relatable, thanks to references like shared Netflix queues and gchat conversations (you know, the important factors in relationships these days). The realness of the characters and their chemistry also shines through in the preview, though I was happy to see a couple of other familiar faces in the trailer — most notably Olivia Thirlby.

The film has a spot at the upcoming SXSW festival in March. To see the trailer, just read more
