Nikki Reed and her husband, Paul McDonald, hit the beach in Hawaii over the weekend. Nikki wore a green bikini that showed off her leg tattoo while Paul went shirtless for his day on the sand. The couple has been on the islands since last week as they celebrate Paul's 28th birthday with family and friends. Nikki and Paul joined Nikki's brother for a hike, watched the sunset, and tweeted plenty of snaps of their tropical surroundings. Nikki also welcomed her Twilight costar Elizabeth Reaser to Twitter. They'll get started promoting the final installment in the franchise soon since Breaking Dawn Part 2 comes out in November. Nikki and Elizabeth's costars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will step out for press as well, though it remains to be seen if they'll be on the red carpet together given the recent drama in their personal relationship.

Nikki Reed took her Breaking Dawn Part 1 promotional tour to NYC this week. Yesterday she stopped by The Late Show With David Letterman and this morning she was up early for an appearance on The Today Show with costars Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone. Nikki will continue the press fun with an appearance later today at Barnes and Noble, where she'll sign copies of Seventeen magazine. Nikki brought her husband Paul McDonald along for the East Coast press fun after he joined her at the LA premiere of Breaking Dawn on Monday. Another couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, shared sweet moments at the big event and they'll be back in the spotlight this afternoon when they step out for the film's UK premiere.

Nikki Reed got a lift from husband Paul McDonald as they checked out a street performer in Rome yesterday. She and Paul, who were married in Malibu last month, traveled to Europe for a quick getaway before Nikki started press on Breaking Dawn: Part I overseas. They continued their "minimoon" with an evening out in Italy last night, and the newlyweds were joined by Nikki's costar Jackson Rathbone. Nikki and Jackson hit the red carpet in Spain and again at the Rome Film Festival over the weekend. They'll soon head back to California, where they have a full work schedule ahead of them.

The loved up pair have been all about PDA and it turns out they also made another symbolic gesture by having each other's names tattooed on the inside of their right ring fingers.

Millions of fans tuned in last night for American Idol's two-hour, star-studded season finale. Ryan Seacrest was decked out in a tux to take in the powerful performances, later announcing 17-year-old Scotty McCreery as this year's champion — do you agree with the season 10 American Idol winner? The top 13 contestants returned to sing and dance throughout the show, as did Beyoncé Knowles, Lady Gaga, and even Idol judge Steven Tyler. Carrie Underwood arrived in a Lorena Sarbu dress then joined finalist Lauren Alaina for a duet of "Before He Cheats," and Scotty teamed up with country legend Tim McGraw on "Live Like You Were Dying." Beyonce took the stage twice, first doing a medley of her own hits like "Crazy in Love" with contestants and then a solo of her new single "One Plus One." Marc Anthony got the crowd on their feet with a Latin beat as Jennifer Lopez shook it in a hot fringed costume. Lady Gaga, U2, Tony Bennett, Jack Black, and Gladys Knight also joined in the fun before Scotty celebrated his accomplishment by belting out his first original track, "I Love You This Big."
