Award season's star-studded weekend kicked off with a bang at a Bulgari party to honor Paul Haggis and Simon Fuller in LA last night. The bash, which benefited the two charitable organizations Save The Children and Artists For Peace and Justice, brought together beautiful ladies decked out to hit the red carpet. Demi Moore still sported her sun-kissed glow from her recent bikini-filled getaway with her husband Ashton, and she'll be out again this evening at the Critics' Choice Awards — we'll be broadcasting live from the arrivals, so tune in here! Malin Akerman, who shows off her range in the HappyThankYouMorePlease trailer, and Kirsten Dunst brought splashes of color to the dark step and repeat, while Olivia Wilde blended in with her dark dress. Inside the event Olivia twittered about having a few drinks before hitting the stage while Julianne Hough let fans know her mixed feelings about returning to her usual bright blond locks. Julianne had her brother Derek as a date instead of her boyfriend Ryan Seacrest, who has been hard at work gearing up for the return of American Idol. A few of the other hot guys who hit yesterday evening's soiree — Adrien Brody, Gerard Butler, Ricky Martin, and Chace Crawford. We'll be seeing a lot more of these famous faces as the next few days unfold, so stay tuned for tonight's live stream and all of our up-to-the-minute coverage of Golden Globe weekend!
This Week's Fab Faves — Random but Stellar Bunch!
They're not the Fab regulars, but this week's stylish crew totally caught my attention by turning up their fashion game a few notches. Juliette Lewis proved that, along with her funky side, she has a polished, sexy one! Actress Paz Vega worked volume and ended up with one of the classiest looks of the bunch. And Maggie Q showed off her sexy limbs in a trendy long-sleeve mini. Fab favorite Carey Mulligan also makes a cameo in Proenza Schouler, as do Naomi Watts and Alexandra Richards. Click on to see why their looks were on my radar this week.
Trend Alert: Chic Retro Updos
Maybe it's because they're in France, or maybe it's just the moment, but yesterday at the opening of Paris Fashion Week lots of stars were wearing chic, retro updos that recalled the prettiest parts of the late '50s and early '60s. Anne Hathaway and Paz Vega both wore sleek styles that recalled Audrey Hepburn, while Kylie Minogue went for straight Jeanne Moreau. Black shades, of course, were de rigueur. Would you like to see this style more on the red carpet, or the street, for that matter?
This Week's Fab Faves
Variety is the spice of life. This week's top picks span decadence and flirtation, ladylike and ultracool. This is a Paz Vega debut for Fab and what an entrance in this black thigh-slit Gucci Resort gown. And you can tell she loves it — look at how proud and elegant she looks. As for the rest of the best, Lauren Conrad is back in a colorful Mara Hoffman and Demi and Ashton complement each other to a tee. Surf on . . .
Penelope Adds a Goya to List of Award Season Honors
Penelope Cruz hopped from the Rome set of Nine to Madrid, where she walked the green carpet at last night's Goya Awards alongside her sister Monica and Benicio del Toro. Benicio took home the Best Actor statue for Che, and Penelope was crowned Best Supporting Actress for Vicky Cristina Barcelona. She's no stranger to the podium at the Goyas, but she was still deeply touched by the honor. Penelope didn't stick around Europe long — she made it to LA to attend today's Oscars luncheon. She recently opened up about her nomination, saying,
It’s not a lie that it is an honor to be nominated, and if I don’t win, I won’t be any less honored, but . . . look, ask anyone who is nominated. No matter what you think you feel about awards, when you’re there, sitting in that seat, with those people, all dressed up — of course you want to win!
She's facing stiff competition on Feb. 22, but she just got some extra practice yesterday delivering an acceptance speech.

Scarlett, Paz, and Eva Step Up For More Spirit
Scarlett Johansson, Paz Vega, and Eva Mendes got dressed up for the screening of The Spirit in Madrid last night. Scar pulled back the darker hair that you're all loving already in a slightly more flattering outfit than the one she wore to the photo call earlier in the day. While the gorgeous ladies might be a little less recognizable in the upcoming Frank Miller comic book adaption, there's no doubt that they'll be as sexy as ever when they hit the big screen in a few weeks.

Scarlett and Her Costars Get Into The Spirit
Scarlett Johansson posed for a photo call for The Spirit in Madrid today — what do you think of her new hair color? As usual, her hot husband Ryan wasn't by her side, but she had the company of her gorgeous costars Eva Mendes and Paz Vega. There were plenty of smiles to go around even without the male counterparts of the cast, but maybe we'll see a bigger turnout for promotional events when we get closer to the Christmas release date of the comic book film.

Nicole, Nicky, and Michelle Step Out For Trembled Blossoms
With Joel heading off on tour and a babysitter secured for the evening, Nicole looked gorgeous stepping out last night for a screening of Trembled Blossoms presented by Prada in Beverly Hills. She was joined by the newest Gossip Girl on the block, Michelle Trachtenberg, as well as the impeccably dressed Taye Diggs and Rosario Dawson. Budding fashion designer herself, Nicky Hilton was out to enjoy the show with her boyfriend David Katzenberg. All the stars looked great in their designer duds — and they're battling it out over on Fab.

Battle of the Prada: Banks vs. Vega
These ladies showed up at the LA screening of Prada short film Trembled Blossoms in different variations of slippery, sassy Prada. I like them both — they seem to really fit these ladies personalities. Speaking of fit, those are seamless too. Which one is your fave?

Jack and Morgan Carry Their Bucket List to LA
Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman came out in LA last night to premiere their new sweetheart buddy film The Bucket List. In the movie, they play men from very different walks of life who are both terminally ill and embark on a series of adventures they've always wanted to do before they "kick the bucket." The boys were joined by friends Billy Crystal, John Mayer (who isn't one to miss a red carpet these days) and their pint-sized costar Taylor Ann Thompson. Oh, and in case anyone is still curious, this movie is the reason why Jack showed off that completely shaved head at last year's Oscars. The Bucket List comes out Christmas day and looks like it might be a perfectly (and possibly overly) saccharine holiday treat.
