Penelope Cruz looked perfectly Springy in polka dots stopping by the Live With Regis and Kelly studios in NYC this morning. It's a quick trip to the Big Apple for Penelope, as she's expected back in LA tomorrow night for a Tonight Show appearance, though the taped interview doesn't air until next Thursday. It's just the beginning of the worldwide media blitz she and her costar, Johnny Depp, are embarking on leading up to the May 20 release of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. In addition to stops on the East and West Coasts, Johnny and Penelope are heading to Cannes later this month for a premiere of their film. The latest Pirates of the Caribbean trailer shows Captain Jack Sparrow up to his old tricks as he attempts to charm Penelope's character and save the life of an innocent mermaid.
Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon split up this morning to do separate press appearances in NYC. Robert was on The Today Show first thing to chat about their movie Water For Elephants, while Reese headed over to do a similar interview with Good Morning America. Rob was next off to Live With Regis and Kelly, and Reese's second stop was at the studios of ABC Radio. It's the beginning of an exciting week for Robert and Reese in the run-up to their film's release on Friday. Of course, there was even more to get thrilled about with the spotting of Robert kissing Kristen Stewart last night following the Big Apple premiere and afterparty!
Gwyneth Paltrow stopped by Live With Regis and Kelly today and revealed her daughter Apple has two very distinct ways of speaking: one American and one British. Gwyneth, who is raising her children in London with husband Chris Martin, said Apple speaks with an American accent when she's asking Gwyneth for a snack, but switches to her British accent and calls Gwyneth "mummy" when friends are around. Gwyneth also shared that London schools are "tough!"
