Rhys Ifans goes from scientist to monster as Curt Connors, aka The Lizard, in The Amazing Spider-Man. I caught up with the British actor at the film's recent press day in New York to talk about what it was like watching himself transform on screen and why he's not too broken up about missing out on the epic fight scenes. Check it out!
Andrew and Emma Say Hola to Madrid With Spider-Man
Andrew Garfield, in Roksanda Ilincic, and Emma Stone kept the traveling going this morning by popping up in Madrid for their latest The Amazing Spider-Man press event. They linked up with costar Rhys Ifans and director Marc Webb for an a.m. photocall at the Villa Magna Hotel. The group is in Spain now after a stint in Germany, where they premiered Spider-Man in Berlin just last night. For the Berlin screening, Emma looked gorgeous in a white Andrew Gn dress and Andrew donned a plaid suit jacket from Gucci. They're about to wrap up a global tour for the new blockbuster. Andrew and Emma kicked things off in Asia, with events in Japan and South Korea, before moving on to Russia, the UK, France, and Germany. They're bringing it back to Gotham with a string of photo ops planned for next week, including a lighting ceremony at the Empire State Building.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Bring Spider-Man to Berlin
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone brought their press tour for The Amazing Spider-Man to Berlin today. The duo posed at a morning call at the Adlon Hotel, and were joined by costars Rhys Ifans, director Marc Webb, and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. The German event came after the London premiere of Spider-Man last night. For the UK red carpet, Emma wore a daring dress by Gucci. Andrew upped his own style stakes by posing in a crimson suit. Emma, Andrew, Rhys, and the gang are racking up the frequent flier miles. The last few weeks saw them touring Asia with stops in South Korea and Japan, before moving on to Russia, and now, Europe.
They kicked things off in Gotham, where we caught up with both Emma and Andrew. Andrew confessed his love for Spider-Man, a character he's been obsessed with since age three. Andrew told us, "I was like, 'Oh man, that's Spider-Man, and that's me!' That's cool . . . that was a little personal celebration that I had. Because I'm never going to be satisfied with the work, because that's just the way I'm built. I'm always wanting to change something, or make something more detailed."
Emma and Andrew Get an Amazing Reception From Their Korean Fans
The Amazing Spider-Man cast reunited in Seoul today for the South Korean premiere of the film. On- and offscreen couple Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone began their day with PDA while chatting to reporters at a press conference with costar Rhys Ifans and director Marc Webb. Emma's world tour style so far has ranged from printed frocks, like today's black and white Fendi, to edgier designs from Rue du Mail and Rag & Bone. What she'll wear next is a mystery, but soon Emma and Andrew will make their way back to the States prior to the June 28 LA premiere. The couple's film hasn't even hit the big screen yet, but they're already racking up award nominations. Emma and Andrew are each up for a Teen Choice Award for choice Summer movie. The pair are also still in the running for this year's PopSugar 100 — be sure to participate before voting closes later this week.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Get Cute at a Press Conference
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield showed some PDA this morning at a press conference for The Amazing Spider-Man in Seoul. She accessorized a chic Burberry Prorsum ensemble with a bright teal necklace. The real-life couple have moved on to South Korea after spending the last few days in Japan, where Emma and Andrew premiered their Spider-Man and had a photocall. Their international press tour is well under way, and their travels will bring them back to the US ahead of the movie's July 3 opening. Before the film is out, take a look at brand-new pictures from The Amazing Spider-Man. Also, if you're a fan of either Emma or Andrew, make sure to show them some love in the PopSugar 100 before the contest ends this weekend.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Double Up on Spider-Man Stops in Tokyo
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield brought their The Amazing Spider-Man to Japan today. The costar couple landed at Narita Airport last night and were up early for a press conference. Emma brought a pop of color to the morning event, but later changed into a more muted voluminous look for the film's premiere. Emma and Andrew's Spider-Man promotions are in full swing, though they did take a break from the action movie to attend Sunday's Tony Awards, where Andrew was a nominee. The duo will continue their big-screen efforts with the LA premiere at the end of the month. Emma and Andrew's offscreen relationship is going strong and Andrew talked about working with his now girlfriend in a recent interview saying, "We got on really well as people in between takes."
Both Emma and Andrew are in the running for the PopSugar 100 so make sure to play before voting ends this week!
Rhys Ifans and Jamie Campbell Bower Talk Sharing the Same Role in Anonymous
Rhys Ifans and Jamie Campbell Bower have a unique partnership in the upcoming film Anonymous; the actors portray the older and younger versions of the same character. We sat down with the duo during the Toronto Film Festival, where the movie enjoyed a standing ovation at its premiere, to talk about their working relationship and what's ahead for each of them. Rhys joked about his role as a reptilian villain in next Summer's highly anticipated The Amazing Spider-Man, while Jamie reflected on both the Harry Potter and Twilight franchises coming to a close. Watch our interview with Rhys and Jamie and catch Anonymous when it hits theaters this Friday!
Rhys Ifans, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Xavier Samuel Present Anonymous to the Toronto Crowd
The cast of Anonymous stepped out last night in Toronto for the debut of the Roland Emmerich-helmed film, which hits theaters on Oct. 28. Rhys Ifans, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Xavier Samuel were on hand, along with their costars Joely Richardson and Rafe Spall, for the world premiere. The period piece explores the story of Shakespeare and questions whether the man from Stratford Upon Avon was the true author of some of the world's most beloved plays and poems. The movie enjoyed a strong reception from the audience last night, and the stars of the film were back to work this a.m. at a press day for the project, where we had the chance to catch up with them. Rhys, who last night admitted to being "vainly moved" by the film, said the strength of the cast made him decide to sign on for the project. Meanwhile, Xavier and Jamie both reminisced with us about their shared experience as part of the Twilight Saga. Xavier said he's most looking forward to seeing the birth scene in Breaking Dawn and also told us a funny story about his brother being mistaken for Jamie during a trip they took to Berlin together. Xavier said his brother had long hair at the time and that the crowd outside their hotel was convinced he was Jamie, so he signed a few autographs and posed for pictures for a laugh. Meanwhile, Xavier went completely unrecognized, and the next day, the paper ran a picture of the brothers with the caption: "Jamie Campbell Bower and friend."

Ben Affleck Takes His Oscar Contender Out on the Town in Dublin
Ben Affleck kept his The Town promotional tour going last night with his latest premiere in Dublin following a morning of interviews. He joined costar Rebecca Hall for a screening Sunday in London, and she was once again by his side to show off their finished product. Ben spoke on the red carpet about how much his movie's domestic success means to him, saying, "If it hadn't turned out well, I'd be lying to you and telling you this kind of thing didn't matter but it feels really nice. I've been around long enough and seen the highs and lows to really enjoy this." Ben's sure to be thrilled, then, to hear that Oscar prospects for his second directorial effort are apparently rising fast back in Hollywood.
