Denise Richards was out and about in Beverly Hills with Sam yesterday. Unfortunately, their mother-daughter day was seriously interrupted when Denise's parked SUV was sideswiped. She said: "The guy took my door off, I was taking her out on the other side and he took the door off!"

Denise and Sam look pretty shaken up, but luckily Richie was there to save the day. (The cupcakes probably didn't hurt either). Even when distressed, Denise still looks good - as for Richie...maybe he had to get dressed in a hurry. We're just glad to hear that nobody was hurt.

Denise may have a temper when it comes to pesky paparazzi but she sure is patient with her two girls. How cute are Sam and Lola? Denise loves spending time with her daughters who are just getting more adorable every time we see them. Denise looks great too, as usual. Sam and Lola are both walking now so she probably gets quite a work out just trying to keep up with both of them!

Denise and Charlie may have split but that doesn't mean she is not family oriented. In fact, Denise loves to celebrate the holidays with her girls. She took her 2 year-old daughter Sam out to the Los Angeles Ballet premiere of The Nutcracker this weekend. Denise definitely looks happy these days. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that her divorce is finalized and she is on good terms again with Charlie. In fact Charlie even says he's glad that Denise is with Richie. Here's more:

"To know that it's somebody decent and smart and a good parent to be around your children, that's a good thing," he told Ellen DeGeneres on her daytime talk show.

Sheen's new girlfriend is actress/real estate investor Brooke Mueller, 29. Richards has similarly extended an olive branch to Mueller.

"Denise wants her to feel comfortable," a Richards pal told PEOPLE last month. "She put together a bag with toys for her and the girls (Lola and Sam) along with a card telling her she's glad (Brooke) makes their father so happy."

The messy divorce between Charlie and Denise is still going. The latest in the saga is that Charlie still has a restraining order against him. The hands on mom is still worried about their safety. I guess Richie is not man enough to protect them. People reports:

At a closed-door hearing in Los Angeles Thursday, a judge and lawyers for Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards took just 20 minutes to agree to extend a restraining order against Sheen through Aug. 14.

Sheen was previously under a restraining order that expired late last month. Aug. 14 is the date of the estranged couple's next hearing.

He was required to stay at least 300 yards from Richards and their daughters, Sam, 2, and Lola, 1, except for supervised visits with the children.
