Amy Poehler's New Man Admits His Longtime Crush on Her

Amy Poehler and new boyfriend Nick Kroll made their first public debut when they attended AFI's Lifetime Achievement Award tribute to Mel Brooks in Hollywood yesterday.

Amy Poehler and new boyfriend Nick Kroll made their first public debut when they attended AFI's Lifetime Achievement Award tribute to Mel Brooks in Hollywood yesterday. The two stars have reportedly been dating since April, but they have been friends for years before they got romantic. Amy and Nick met at the Upright Citizens Brigade, and Nick recently admitted that he always had a crush on her, saying, "There are people you have crushes on because they’re physically attractive, and there are people you just have comedy crushes on, and they’re constantly intersecting. I had comedy crushes on men and women at [UCB]. And I think it’s fair to say that everyone who meets Amy has a crush on her."

Amy and Nick weren't the only funny couple at the bash, which included an appearance by Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, who recently costarred with Amy's ex-husband, Will Arnett, in the new season of Arrested Development. Other guests included Zach Galifianakis, who was hot off an international press tour for his latest film, The Hangover Part III, Sarah Silverman, and Larry David, who attended the party with his daughter Cazzie. Despite all the A-list comedians floating around the event, all eyes were on honoree Mel, who got a big kiss from Sacha when he spotted him backstage.

Sarah Silverman on Embracing Imperfections and Her Love of Piano Rock

Sarah Silverman switches gears from her signature sarcastic — and at times controversial — humor to voice the adorable outcast Vanellope von Schweetz in Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, out Friday.

Sarah Silverman switches gears from her signature sarcastic — and at times controversial — humor to voice the adorable outcast Vanellope von Schweetz in Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, out Friday. The animated feature film is about the behind-the-scenes world of arcade games, with most of the film's action taking place in Vanellope's saccharine Mario Kart-meets-Candy Land home: Sugar Rush. I got the chance to chat with Sarah about how she relates to Vanellope and her "glitch," an imperfection that makes her an undesirable racer while also making her unique. Sarah also gave us the scoop on her political involvement this election season, including her work with the Draw the Line campaign supporting women's reproductive rights. Watch the interview now to find out what she said about that, her love of piano rock, and more!

Wreck-It Ralph Cast Talks '80s and '90s Nostalgia

Disney's latest animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph, out this Friday, follows video game characters from different eras who each live in their game's "world" inside a modern arcade.

Disney's latest animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph, out this Friday, follows video game characters from different eras who each live in their game's "world" inside a modern arcade. Wreck-It Ralph, voiced by John C. Reilly, is the villain of his '80s game, Fix-It Felix, Jr., while Fix-It Felix, Jr., (Jack McBrayer) is the hero. Sarah Silverman voices Vanellope von Schweetz of the '90s Mario Kart-esque game Sugar Rush, and Sergeant Calhoun, voiced by Jane Lynch, is the badass leader of the most modern game, Hero's Duty. The movie has a lot of fun with nostalgia — just look at their 1982 Fix-It Felix, Jr. and 1997 Sugar Rush Speedway commercials — so when we sat down to talk to John, Jack, Jane, and Sarah, we asked them what they most missed from the '80s and '90s. Watch now to find out which actors miss the music of the '90s and which video games the cast mates played growing up!

Sarah Silverman on Reproductive Rights: It's a Nonpartisan Issue

Last weekend we were able to chat with Sarah Silverman about her involvement with the Draw the Line campaign, started by the Center For Reproductive Rights to "guarantee and protect reproductive rights as fundamental human rights and stop the attacks by politicians who want to take those rights away."

Last weekend we were able to chat with Sarah Silverman about her involvement with the Draw the Line campaign, started by the Center For Reproductive Rights to "guarantee and protect reproductive rights as fundamental human rights and stop the attacks by politicians who want to take those rights away." And while we often see opinions on women's issues — especially abortion and contraception — divided along party lines, Sarah told us she believes reproductive rights are a nonpartisan issue:

[Draw the Line is] about women's reproductive rights and being able to be in control of your own body. I think that's, to me, a very nonpartisan issue — it's a women's issue or anyone who loves women. Abortion is a very small part of women's health and being able to have it be affordable to people. And I think it's money very well spent by the government, and that to shut that down would be a real disadvantage to a sex that is the majority of this country. I feel strongly about it. I don't think that women are farm animals; I think they're human people who deserve the same rights as men.

Sarah joins other famous ladies like Amy Poehler, Meryl Streep, and Kyra Sedgwick in her involvement with the Draw the Line movement, encouraging Americans to sign the Bill of Reproductive Rights. The bill includes the following rights:

  • The right to make our own decisions about our reproductive health and future, free from intrusion or coercion by any government, group, or individual.
  • The right to a full range of safe, affordable, and readily accessible reproductive health care, including pregnancy care, preventive services, contraception, abortion, and fertility treatment — and accurate information about all of the above.
  • The right to be free from discrimination in access to reproductive health care or on the basis of our reproductive decisions.

This presidential election season Barack Obama and Mitt Romney need the women's vote to win in November, and one of the ways they'll get it is by addressing the issues we care about, like reproductive rights. Do you agree with Sarah that women's health care is a nonpartisan issue?
