American Idol Not So Shocking Show If Tivo Actually Freakin' Taped It

After watching 2 hours of filler my TiVo ended when it should have but stupid ass American Idol kept going.

After watching 2 hours of filler my TiVo ended when it should have but stupid ass American Idol kept going. Can you feel my frustration? It's not like I didn't know Jordin was going to win, but I wanted to actually see the reaction and hear her sing and all that exciting crap that goes into watching and investing in an entire season. I am officially mad at FOX. If they didn't have so much BS filler I could have actually heard Simon's reaction.

As for the rest of the show - the only highlight worth mentioning was Carrie Underwood. I think it's great she is so successful and still thanks Idol for everything. Other than that, was Gwen lipsynching? Do you agree with the winner? Thankfully, Lost was so good it more than made up for FOX's sh*tty mistake. American Idol Season Finale If You Still Care

The excitement from AI had less to do with Blake and Jordin's performances and more to do with the judges' antics.

The excitement from AI had less to do with Blake and Jordin's performances and more to do with the judges' antics. First off, Ryan calling Paula's pup a bitch. Do we need to remind him it's a family show? Then we got a good look at Randy's blazer. Seriously, who let him wear that? They should be fired immediately. Finally, let's talk about Paula's hair. How big was she aiming to go? Talk about extensions gone bad. People need to end that trend.

As for the important performances, well Simon said it best. Blake is the entertainer but Jordin has the voice. So what does this mean in the Popstar world. Well let's look at Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Who became more famous faster and who had lasting power thanks to talent? (I don't think I really need to spell it out for y'all - I know you are smarter than that). I know Blake has some fierce fans even if he over matches his outfits but I think Jordin will become our next American Idol. I personally don't care. I checked out when Melinda was booted. If it wasn't for Simon I don't even think I would watch every season. Here's to already counting down to season 7. American Idol Season 6: It's Down to Blake and Jordin

Last night America got it wrong again when they voted off Melinda.

Last night America got it wrong again when they voted off Melinda. I really had no idea who was going to be voted off, but I am disappointed to see Melinda go. I knew Jordin and Blake had loyal fans so I guess I should have been more prepared for the outcome. Next week I hope these two step it up. Jordin clearly has the better voice but Blake can be more entertaining. It will be interesting to see who wins this year, but I don't think this season has churned out the next Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. For more on last night's episode click here.

American Idol Season 6: Three To Go

Lucky for us there is only one more week of AI because I am so over this season.

Lucky for us there is only one more week of AI because I am so over this season. I have always enjoyed Melinda and I know there are a ton of Blake and Jordin fans, but I am just not as emotionally invested in this season any more. Last night's show was okay but nothing spectacular and at this point I want to be blown away. Blake's version of Roxanne was terrible, but he did redeem himself with his other two songs. Jordin sure worked hard for her great performances but Melinda was by far the most consistent and at this point she is still my favorite. I think one thing is for sure, no one knows who is going to win this round. It is super close and I really have no idea who will be booted. Vote now on who you think is going home tonight and for more of a recap of last night's show click here. I would like to see Melinda and Blake in the final two but I have a feeling it will be Melinda and Jordin.

American Idol Season 6 Boys' Night

Last night Bon Jovi did his thing and the final songs from the recently eliminated Chris Richardson and Phil Stacey were surprisingly probably their best to date.

Last night Bon Jovi did his thing and the final songs from the recently eliminated Chris Richardson and Phil Stacey were surprisingly probably their best to date. I really enjoyed watching Phil say goodbye to the crowd, the judges, his wife and the other contestants. It made me like him more, but it was too late. Blake and Chris tried a little BFF media attention similar to Ace and Chris last season but I think the latter friends were more true. Overall, we're just happy to see Blake didn't get the boot. American Idol Season 6 Rockin Bon Jovi

Last night was rocker night and it was pretty clear that this year's AI won't be churning out any awesome-like Daughtrys.

Last night was rocker night and it was pretty clear that this year's AI won't be churning out any awesome-like Daughtrys. We love ourselves a little Bon Jovi so we were psyched to see what was in store for us last night. Little did we know we were still going to be talking about hair now that Sanjaya is gone (thanks to Jordin and Blake).

Phil kicked off the night in what seemed like an okay performance but it was forgotten about by the end of the evening. Jordin killed her chances by screaming Living on a Prayer with the horrible red streaked hair. She should have left that look with Gina who was booted off for a reason. I really liked LaKisha last night and so did Simon based on that big kiss! I thought she rocked the house with Melinda. They both out-shined everyone else but the most talked about performance was beatbox Blake. He updated You Give Love A Bad Name in such a way that I am still confused. Love it or hate it, he will be safe. I predict the bottom three tonight are Phil, Chris and Jordin. Tonight we will lose two contestants. Click here to vote on who you think will be eliminated. American Idol Season 6: Idol Gives Back!

I hope those of you who don't normally vote decided to pick up the phone last night to help Idol give back.

I hope those of you who don't normally vote decided to pick up the phone last night to help Idol give back. Thanks to the big sponsors like Coke, Ford, News Corp and AT&T they paid millions in donations based on our calls. I am an avid viewer of the show but I normally never vote... until last night. Kudos to Idol for finally giving back. Simon we couldn't love your softer side more!

As for the contestants, Blake attempted Imagine. It was good but too big for him. As always Melinda was one of my top choices. This week Jordin pulls ahead for closing the show with some excitement but more importantly, she let her hair be naturally curly. That's all I asked of her to do for weeks now and she finally did, so yay!

I predict the bottom three are Phil, Chris (sorry ladies but he's just not as good as his competition) and Lakisha who I think goes home this week even though Buzz has an interesting and lovely theory on this one. So who do you think is going home? Vote now on who you think will be booted

American Idol Season 6: Sayonara Sanjaya

Finally! Sanjaya has finally been booted!!!

Finally! Sanjaya has finally been booted!!! Happy Idol days are here again. Looks like all that campaigning by vote for the worst, Howard Stern and more were not powerful enough to convince America to force us to watch someone who should have been gone weeks ago. We were a little upset to see Blake in the bottom three but thankfully he was spared elimination. We did expect to see Simon address the eye roll and we're glad he did. Just makes us love him even more. The most exciting part of the night for me was trying to predict who the most amazing duet will be next week on Idol. My dream duo (since Molly and I were going back and forth on the very important topic at hand over IM last night while watching the episode) is Bono and Madonna. I have a feeling Bono is definitely involved but not sure who the other half is. I am so curious. Tell us, who do you think the surprise duet will be? American Idol Not So Sensitive Simon Sort of Redeems Himself

Last night we watched the final 7 but it should have been the final 2.

Last night we watched the final 7 but it should have been the final 2. Blake and Melinda were by far the most entertaining and talented. Sanjaya is not worth even talking about. Poor Bonnie Raitt. She must have been so bummed to hear her song so butchered. The most noteworthy part of the evening was when Chris Richardson sent condolences to the VA Tech families. Simon was caught on camera rolling his eyes. Thankfully (more for FOX, Idol, and their sponsors) Simon sent his condolences as well on behalf of the judges and then explained why this might have been an off week for the contestants. Even better, today Simon is saying he's horrified about the eye roll and that he was reacting to Chris' nasal comment. We're actually glad he said something today since we knew that was a totally inappropriate reaction even for Simon.

As for the bottom three, I am predicting Chris, LaKisha and Phil even though we all know Sanjaya should be at the top of this list. For a more detailed recap of the show click here and don't forget to vote on who you think is leaving tonight.

American Idol: Simon Blushes and Haley Cries

Simon may not sing for $26 mil but he did blush for free.

Simon may not sing for $26 mil but he did blush for free. That would have been my favorite part of the show but I was happier to see Haley finally booted. I also loved the Tony Bennett sketch. He's such a good sport! I'm still sad he didn't perform. Jennifer Lopez looked fierce. I wish I knew what she was saying since she gets so passionate about her music and I want to be a part of that emotion but shame on me for not knowing Spanish. I guess it just made me realize that I am looking forward to her English album. OK back to Haley, we will miss her legs and the possible opportunity for her to show up in a bikini but I guess she'll be able to leak those photos online at some point. Perhaps her decision to wear a lot of clothes last night was her downfall. For more about last night, click here.
