Kate Hudson just announced her engagement last week to her rocker fiancé, Matt Bellamy, but costar Ginnifer Goodwin also recently got engaged. Coincidence? Watch and decide for yourself.

Kate Hudson wowed in Versace last night on the blue carpet at the LA premiere of Something Borrowed. She headed to the West Coast shortly after wearing a gold Stella McCartney number to Monday night's big Costume Institute Gala in NYC, where her costar, Ginnifer Goodwin, ranked among your Met Ball best dressed in green Topshop. The ladies shared the spotlight yesterday with their leading men, John Krasinski and Colin Egglesfield. John was back in Hollywood following some jet-setting of his own, as he spent the weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan visiting wife Emily Blunt on the set of her Jason Segel-penned new movie Five Year Engagement. John spoke to us before heading into the screening not about life as a husband, but about his excitement at being in the film's sequel and a part of such a well-loved book series. Kate and Ginnifer, both engaged to be married themselves, shared about being in love. Just as I got up at the crack of dawn with my mother and sister to watch Di and Charles wed, I set my alarm for four this morning, donned my fanciest hat (purchased for Royal Ascot during my years in London), and gathered with my mother and own satisfyingly brainwashed-to-care children to watch this generation’s version of the royal wedding. As we sipped Earl Grey and munched on iced royal-nuptial sugar cookies, I tweeted the action, entranced by every detail of Kate and Will's magical day. Thirty years from now, here is what I will remember most:

Kate Hudson stopped by The Late Show yesterday to promote her upcoming movie Something Borrowed with host David Letterman, but the conversation quickly turned to her happy family news. Kate is expecting a child with her fiancé, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy. She told David she doesn't want to find out the sex of the baby until she welcomes her little one to the world, but that she has a feeling the infant's a girl!
