Robert Downey Jr. stuck close by his wife Susan Downey at this evening's world premiere of The Avengers at El Capitan Theatre in LA. It was Susan's first red carpet outing since giving birth to their new son Exton in early February. The Avengers boasts quite the star-studded cast, but one person missing was the leading lady to RDJ's Iron Man, Pepper Potts. Gwyneth Paltrow missed out on this evening's event, though she and RDJ did get to team up to present at the 2012 Oscars. The Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows premiere in LA last night was full of famous faces. Rachel McAdams stunned in a Marchesa gown after traveling to the West Coast from London recently. She's been spending time in the UK with boyfriend Michael Sheen, and while he didn't join her on the red carpet for this event, Robert Downey Jr. and Guy Ritchie did have their leading ladies by their sides. Susan Downey showed off her growing baby bump amid news that she and RDJ are expecting a boy. Guy's girlfriend, Jacqui Ainsley, who gave birth to her first child with Guy in September, wore a gorgeous red dress to accompany her directing man. The movie hits theaters next week and will be up against Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol at the box office.

Robert Downey Jr. and Susan, his wife of six years, snuck away for a tropical vacation to Kauai last week. They strolled along the beach hand in hand on Friday, and Robert showed off his paddle-boarding abilities in the water on Saturday. The couple continued their Hawaiian adventures yesterday when they were spotted kayaking down a river. Susan didn't let her pregnant belly get in the way of the fun since she rowed right alongside her husband.

In August, Robert and Susan announced they're expecting their first child together, and she showcased her bump on the red carpet just last month. The upcoming family addition isn't the only project RDJ has in the works as he's also gearing up for the holiday release of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. It's just the beginning of an exciting few months for the actor since the baby is due in February and The Avengers comes out in May.

Jennifer Aniston joined actors Jack Black, Michael Douglas, Jon Favreau, and more at the American Cinematheque Awards in LA last night to honor her friend and fellow thespian Robert Downey Jr. Jennifer took the stage in a sexy, form-fitting gown to say a few kind words about her long-time friend RDJ. Jennifer joked, "[Robert] never let his career get in the way of his commitment to hard-core, classic Grade A drugs." Justin Theroux, who dined next to Jen at the event, also shares a connection to Robert, having penned the scripts for Tropic Thunder and Iron Man 2. Robert stopped by Jen and Justin's table to pose for a photo, but RDJ also stuck beside his wife and mom-to-be, Susan Downey. It's been an exciting week for Robert. Guy Ritchie rolled up with his pregnant girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley, who could talk parenthood with a likewise expecting January Jones. The Mad Men star was just in NYC, where she showed off her upcoming blockbuster X-Men: First Class. A fresh-from-Paris Diane Kruger soaked up the sun with boyfriend Joshua Jackson while the holiday provided a chance for Courteney Cox and David Arquette to reunite with their daughter Coco. Celebrity babies were lucky to run on the sand between bouncy castles, and Minnie Driver's son Henry took advantage alongside Jennifer Meyer and Tobey Maguire's Ruby and Otis.

Liam Neeson was the man in the middle of a January Jones and Diane Kruger sandwich last night at the LA premiere of Unknown. January's latest edgy look was an Alexander McQueen creation, while Diane chose Dolce & Gabbana. Diane had Joshua Jackson by her side after she took a quick trip to NYC this week to chat up her movie on Regis and Kelly. Josh welcomed her home with flowers, and they were one of the many adorable couples spending the holiday together. Diane told us that it was the first time in three years they've been together on Feb. 14 and that Josh pulled out all the stops for a sweet celebration. January, meanwhile, shared all about shooting in Berlin with Diane and Liam, saying that they were able to spend lots of time together on set and off. Liam had nothing but good things to say about working with the ladies, adding that he particularly loved the script because it was a thriller with a brain.
